I had to make a payment upfront to get my dentures done. Long story short I was over charged per my EOB's. I've contacted them a couple of times to get a refund and still haven't seen it. If they were an honest business they would have sent the refund without me even calling but haven't. Everyone pay attention to your EOBs you get from your insurance company. 2 months ago I had my tooth extraction and had impressions made for dentures upper and lower. I went back to have the bottom dentures refined and explained the dentures were to big and didn't fit. I was told to wear the dentures to get use to them. I have tried they don't fit it's horrible. I paid $3000 for new dentures and they are terrible. I will never recommend Aspen dental to anyone. if I could have given less than one star I would. they charged me 540 dollars to pull a tooth and insurance payed over 300, I payed the rest. 13 months later I get a bill stating I need to pay what I had already payed. Such a SHAME! Scammer dentist feeling honestly. Terrifies me that people could be doing this to anyone. Billing gives you a different price everytime you call. I sat in a chair for 15 minutes while they scaled and flossed that's it. Then they tell me in person it might be $130, fine. Then it becomes $80 and they tell me that's all it will be (which is still a lot for 15 minutes in a chair). and I pay even with my insurance. Now I get a bill for over $250 out of nowhere! Staff is honestly so kind but they are not as knowledgeable as they should be. Very disappointing would not come back here! Don't waste your time. I'll take this down when they can justify their inability to be at least ALITTLE straight forward. I'd rather receive an honest proper estimate that way I could've taken my business elsewhere! The $29 x-rays make you think that it's all going to be a good deal but it's merely a ruse to lure you in.There's nothing affordable about Aspen Dental !! I was a new patient on my second visit for just the cleaning. I had a 1 p.m. appointment and sat there and watched as everyone in the waiting room was called back except for me INCLUDING a patient who arrived early but was "fit in" before me. I checked with the front desk twice to find out why I was not called back. After some discussion with the front desk and other employees, it came to light that they double-booked the appointment. I had to wait a half hour until they called me back. I was not happy and told them that I was warned about Aspen Dental, but I didn't listen. Lesson learned. Heed the warnings. read more

Well it seems like the other reviews have a common thread like mine. They are all about the money. I felt swindled on the treatment costs going to this place based on measurements made in the first visit. Then they said I needed two appointments. They cancel one and then perform the service in one appointment. The expensive cleaning plan I had to get is exactly the same as a normal one without numbing. The hygienist smelled like cigarette smoke. During the procedure, I was nauseated keeping my mouth open and having to smell the leftover cigarettes. This place is disturbing, please go elsewhere. I just had the worst experience in 40 years of going to the dentist, during my cleaning, the assistant sneezed or coughed into my open mouth. Fortunately I had blood work done a week before, so I will continue to monitor my health. This place seams to just be a cash grab, they always ask for money even if your insurance covers 2 cleanings a year. Wife has complained, then magically the bill was $0. I've been trying to schedule an appointment for myself and my two children for over 6 months. Aspen gladly scheduled the appointments and then a few days before each appointment, they tell me they lost their dental hygenist in December 2021 and haven't been able to find another, they're dealing with a scheduling backup, can we please reschedule. This has happened 3 times. We're all well past our 6 month check-up and working on missing an entire year of dental cleanings. Our insurer stopped covering our previous dentist and Aspen in the only one in the area that's "in-network". I'd like to rate Aspen's service, but they keep canceling their appointments so I can't. New patients - DO NOT expect to get into Aspen for a regular cleaning any time soon! Apparently they can't keep a hygenist. read more

This is genuinely insane. I was looking for a family dentist 3 months ago. I called Aspen Dental. They didn't accept my insurance but had a promotion for a free cleaning, according to receptionist. I double checked with her that this "promo" would still be valid when the appointment date finally arrived. Well the date is here and my appointment is for a checkup? In my experience there aren't pre cleaning checkups. I was blatantly lied to and I'm not paying for a checkup. I know that you are out of network. Money Money Money! All they care about! I will be following through with my cleanings (bc it's hard to get into a new place bc of covid)but after my cleaning in two weeks I will not be going back to them! They consistently tell me and my husband two different things even though we were both getting the same exact procedure (deep cleaning) and then my last appointment they pretty much made a guy call his mom and borrow money so he could pay his bill. The guy said he had to go pick it up and they acted like they didn't want him leaving and then asked for his phone number and how long he was going to be. Avoid this place! They seem to only be looking to make money. First appointment was fine and they did everything that apparently "my insurance convered." I went into the second appt for a follow-up and again they said that my insurance covered it, I just had to pay $100. Come to find out, my insurance didn't cover the first or second treatment. I only gave 1 star because I couldn't leave 0 stars. Aspen Dental is the WORST. I have been battling with them for more than a year. I came into the Martinsburg, WV location over a year ago to inquire about invisalign. Without even allowing me to see a dentist, they had taken payment from me and billed my insurance company. When I finally did get to see a dentist, she told me I had a bad gum disease and I had to have several expensive deep cleanings -- costing over $1k each -- before I could proceed. I consulted another dentist at a different office, and he said I was not a candidate for invisalign at all. I then requested a refund on a procedure that never took place. SIX months later, I finally got a refund, and I was promised my insurance company would be refunded also. But that never happened. Aspen Dental continues to collect payment from my insurance company. I have called corporate several times, and the latest is they claim they'll get back to me within 24-48 hours. We'll see. At this point, it's insurance fraud since they have been collecting payments for services that were never rendered. If anyone needs the number to corporate office, it's 844-296-0187. My first visit to Aspen was good. Very friendly staff and front desk. And it didnt cost me anything. I set up a treatment plan for the fillings I needed and paid up front. My second appointment went to h*ll. We were suppose to be doing 2 fillings the dentist took it upon herself to do 3 without asking and then charging me for it. I was in horrible pain after which if anyone has had fillings knows this isn't right. I went back to the office a few days later when I could get in and the corrected the bite and got all the extra glue that was left in between my teeth out . I left the office still in pain. I then got a second opinion at my husband's dentist who has been in business 30 plus years. They did a cleaning which was never done at aspen and then exam. They found less work that needed done after the cleaning. Rhey also did a treatment plan for me that included the teeth Aspen already claimed to do but didnt . So I called aspen and they refunded me the work for the teeth they half fixed. I know need a root canal and crown as a result of the sloppy work done by Aspen . They refuse to take responsibility for what they did. I wouldn't suggest anyone visit them. Unless you want to spend 3xs more somewhere else or be in pain .
