I was a client of Aspen Dental in Port St. Lucie, Florida before moving to Milledgeville, and I was quite pleased with them. However, here in Milledgeville the experience was not so great. I had a tooth break in February. I went online to schedule an appointment with the Milledgeville branch. The appointment I made was for 4 days later. I went to the office to ensure my records were there, and that was when I was told that I couldn't have that appointment because I was a returning client. I was given an appointment a few weeks out--March 9. I got tied up in Florida and had to reschedule. The earliest appointment I could get was a month out--April 6. However, since I had to cancel I didn't complain. However, Aspen required that my appointment be rescheduled, and the earliest next appointment offered was April 27. I declined, figuring if dealing with an existing client's broken tooth was easily put off for months they can't be very caring dentists. Also, the front desk woman is still a B* that rhymes with itch. Sad that customer service means so little anymore. read more

Online Appointment/Virtual Assistant and Phone Review Only: Because of my hearing issues, I much prefer making appointments online. However, after entering my legal name, the online appt gave an error message, about my name not being proper. And, the virtual asst's error message said, Name should match format (John Smith). Hello!!! That's what I did! :-( So, 0 Star for this. Now, in talking with the CSR, who was friendly, and courteous (5 Stars), I did tell her about this. So, hopefully, they'll get it fixed (fingers Xed). However, when I gave my preferred appt (late morning/early afternoon on Thursday), all that was available was either sometime tomorrow, 2/4/25. They tell you that they take your insurance and get you to the back and door X-rays and then they tell you they don't take your insurance and then they want you to pay for the X-rays and office visit. And they keep sending you room to room trying to get you to comment. So sneaky.also very rude. I think when you are talking to the doctor people should not be able to randomly come in and out of the room. read more

Had an appointment scheduled....received a phone call at 5:12pm the day before the appt. asking me to call back to confirm and provide some necessary info. I called in at 10am the following day, and was told the appointment was CANCELLED because I hadn't confirmed, and the time was already booked. This is some total BS.....completely questionable how they could book another appointment within about 2 hours business time. I will NOT be attempting another appointment with them - I found a professional dental organization that I will be going to. It is sad when a professional organization does not have the ability to manage appointments. I have been waiting for a hygienist appointment to do periodontal mapping after oral surgery in Feb. Multiple appoints were canceled due to a lack of adequately trained staff. Spent extended period with dentist talking when he could have done this mapping. He sold me a crown that I paid for in full and yet I can't have it installed until I get the mapping and cleaning. Last week they cancelled again and set an appointment 3 Weeks out. Funny my husband had an appointment Monday and it was also cancelled but they gave him an appointment this Friday. I am waiting 3 weeks and he get 4 days. Talking to the staff is like talking to a brick wall. Sorry I have so much time invested in this organization. read more

If this place wasn't the closest location to me and is still an hr an a 1/2 away I would have neverrrrr revisited. If you want to consistently be treated like trash, spoke to like garbage and they will explain to you why they are speaking to you like trash then try this location. This is my experience three times. I have contacted the customer service manager twice and they still have the same gross people in management and also working there Tabitha she said her name is this morning got so gross with me and mind you I'm a business owner I know how important Customer Service is. I spoke to this girl with respect the whole conversation even as she started speaking to me disrespectfully and hostile I kept asking her why are you speaking to me disrespectful and she told me because she can't help me and basically I keep asking her questions trying to come up with solutions to accommodate me the patience, the consumer, so she got upset with that and started speaking to me crazy. I'm sure nothing will be done because nothing was done the first time except a callback and apology my experience. Every time I went here was the same. It never change. I had an appointment six weeks out. They canceled the day before. I've had an appointment three weeks out the day before they called to change my time then when I arrive they look at me like why are you here your appointment is in three hours, I said you called me and changed the time so if you want to waste time and be disrespected and the office is really dirty, they cross contaminate all the time. My second appointment there I had to ask the girl that prepped my cleaning tray to put on gloves she got so upset she walked out of the room never came back and another girl had to come do the tray, their attitudes match the area, I will never go to any of their locations ever again this is my experience. we schedule an appointment for a month away, confirm the appointment the day before. It's an hour drive. when we arrive the door is always locked, when we call they say the dentist will not be coming in today. after they reschedule and we confirm and get there, doors locked. we call the number and they tell us they have to reschedule. this is for an emergency. it has been a total of 4 months scheduling appointments and driving there the day of, only to never even make it in the front door. I find it hard to believe that they have an actual dentist in there. read more

I just want to say everyone put me at ease and was very friendly and outgoing trying to make sure that I was comfortable. If I could rate this place a ZERO, I would. My son made an appointment almost a month ago to get a temporary crown he'd gotten put on in Seattle where he was working for the summer replaced with a permanent one. He let them know how long he'd had the temporary crown on, so really needed to get fitted for the permanent one quickly, but a month out was the best they could do. So he goes in for the appointment and they tell him they no longer accept our insurance! They said they used to, but since we made the appointment, they no longer accept it. They were going to charge six times the cost, so he left. I called the insurance company and they DO accept our insurance, but are not accepting new patients. So WHY did they let him book the appointment?? They knew he was a new patient and allowed him to book the appointment last month! And obviously they had capacity to see him because, well, he HAD AN APPOINTMENT. Very frustrated with the incompetence of this office. I wish I'd looked at the Yelp reviews before I booked there. The billing process is both convoluted and inconsistent. I received a bill more than a year after the fact and have still yet to get word on what it's actually for. I had to get fillings redone at another dentist's office, which my insurance wouldn't cover, so I filed a grievance due to the original work done at Aspen Dental being subpar. My insurance company sided with me and now Aspen wants to bill me for things after the fact that don't add up? Not to mention that this time last year, they assured me my balance was at zero (they talked me into getting a dental care credit card so all of it was covered through me paying the card back). At this point, getting a bill is insulting. Also, when I log in to my account, it gives a completely different, much higher amount than anything I've received a statement for. I had a bad experience at this dentist. I had my teeth done in the front in May. Well it just fell out in January. Then I was told that she didn't put a post on it ,she thought there was one. I was given a credit, but now I would have to get a partial and add that tooth in. I don't like the way they list everything you need done and have you sign it like it was already done. Now since it was their screw up I think that they should do this work at their cost. This should not be added on my insurance. At this point I have been given legal advice about the situation. I arrived to Aspen Dental office in 2017 and haven't been back. I had had three appointments scheduled that year. Initially, I went there for preventive care and a routine cleaning. My first appointment I had x-rays done and saw the dental hygienist. I was informed that I had early signs of "periodontal disease" and needed further treatment. I was placed in a cold green waiting room area where I was told someone was going to come get me soon to discuss financial treatment options. About an hour later, I finally went to a desk located not to far from the receptionist area and discussed my options. I was talked into buying an expensive electric toothbrush and had to get a dental loan from a financial credit company to pay for the rest of my scheduled appointments (which I'm making monthly payments as of 2018). My insurance at that time paid $927.00 still leaving me with an electric toothbrush, a monthly financial obligation, and a balance owing of $478.00 because I was told after the fact that my insurance would only pay for some of the dental work procedures done on my second visit. I'm paying far too much for what supposed to have been a simple cleaning. Now I'm asking myself was visiting Aspen Dental worth the financial hassle? read more

This place is awful. Worst place I have been in. I called the call center and told them all I wanted was a cleaning. Nothing else. She said yes they could do that. I also told her I had another appointment at 11:30 and had to leave there by 11:15. She scheduled an appointment for 10:15. I get there and they take me back for x-rays. I told them all I wanted was a cleaning. They told me the x-rays were free during the first visit. I have dental insurance which covers preventive dental care. I get in the chair and it is 11:00. I know there is not going to be time for a cleaning. One lady comes in long enough to tell me I don't need a deep cleaning. The dentist comes in. It is 11:10. She also says I don't need a deep cleaning. I tell her I am sorry, but I have to leave. I have told everybody I have to be out of there by 11:15. Fine. They will check my insurance and see what they will pay. So, I get to thinking. Did they bill me insurance for the x-rays? I call and after asking that same question over and over I am finally told they did bill my insurance. Well, my insurance will only pay for x-rays maybe once a year so if I go to another dentist and they want to do x-rays first then I will have to pay. I ask the girl if they can do a cleaning the next Friday. She says she will check and see. They have gotten the information from my insurance on what they will pay, but she does not understand it she will have someone help her with it and call and let me know. This is over a week away that I want to come in for a cleaning. I go out of town for a few days. I get back and no message. I call them on Thursday to see if they have an appointment scheduled. They do not. They transfer me to a lady who tells me that my insurance will not pay for a deep cleaning. I tell her that I was told I did not need a deep cleaning. She puts me on hold. I hold on. I hold on. I finally hang up and try to call back and I keep getting put on eternal hold. I leave for a few hours and there are no messages or missed calls when I get home. I call the office. The receptionist was told I was going to call them back (what?) and now everyone is at lunch at 2:30. I told him I would just pick up my x-rays in the morning and go somewhere else. These people can't function. Do I want them doing anything to my teeth? I don't think so. What a racket. Think two or three times before you go to this place. read more

If I could rate this place a zero, I would. One of my daughters had an appt here for a cleaning (as a new patient) yesterday and they did not do it. They were running behind and so they rescheduled it for today at 12:30. I arrived at 12:20 and was informed 20 minutes after arrival that the dental hygienist was running behind by 10 minutes. I waited and waited well over 30 more minutes. I finally went to the front desk to ask why the long wait. The receptionist then proceeded to walk to the back to find out for me. She came back and told me that it was going to be a VERY long time that the dentist had just started an extraction? EXCUSES. The dentist is not the one who would be cleaning her teeth. She then proceeded to tell me that I need to reschedule once again for tomorrow. (By the way, I live over 30 minutes away). At that point, I told them that I needed all of my records so I can go somewhere else. They have no respect to be honest with me up front that they over book patients there and there was no chance at all for my daughter ever getting her teeth cleaned or treated. Also, I had to wait around another hour for me to get a copy of their records because they are that slow. I will never go back to this place again. read more

there should be a negative -100 for this aspen dental in milledgeville. i came in a few months ago for their promotion of free first visit and xrays. they have ended up billing me, and when i go in they promise to straighten out the billing. now it has gone to collections. they are not truthful about anything. i did not go after the first visit as they were supposed to call me with an appt. and never did. horrible dental practice - or lack thereof.... read more
