OK so I am a grown man and have performed several surgeries on myself due to no liking doctors. I hate going to the dentist. Its a fear that i have always had since boot. I needed to have 3 molars extracted, well 4 but that's in a couple of weeks. I was very nervous. The care and concern of the doctor and the dental assistant was above par. My tooth was so infected that the antiseptic was not holding long enough for them to pull the third tooth without being in pain. They worked with me and maid it painless. I appreciate the office staff talking to me and the great care I received. They were not my first choice due to reviews but they were They only one in my network accepting new clients. Couldn't be happier with there care. This community of dental professionals has won me over and they are awesome. I would highly recommend them for any dental needs. They suck!! Sitting for 1/2hr waiting is a lot for me! I dread going to the dentist, my anxiety gets worse when I sit and wait. I ask how much longer? If I were 15 minutes late, they would charge me for a no show. So does that mean the 'Dentist' should be pay me for my time. My anxiety is getting me upset just thinking about having to go back to them to finish my dentures that I have already paid for. read more

Needed extractions of broken teeth. My regular dentist would not see me for 30 days and then would only refer me to an oral surgeon which would be another 30 days. Some negative Yelp reviews of Aspen were concerning but 60 days of needless pain argued against that concern. 3 days after my first online appointment the work was done, efficiently and professionally. My concern was totally unwarranted and I will go back if I need more work n the future. read more

the staff were very friendly but the dentist is a quack! he doesn't recognize the toxicity of mercury fillings, fluoride or the high radiation xrays they use. I'm still dealing with migraines from yesterday's appointment. I went in yesterday for removal of my mercury fillings that are causing me health problems and he refused to remove them without a periodontal cleaning. the fillings aren't even located on the sides of my teeth. they don't see anything wrong with poisonous mercury metals or fluoride and push them like the poisons are their god! this place will cause you more health problems and not help! pineal glands matter! decalcify them!! the guy is a quack!! question these dentists as well as your primary doctors, they may be just what's ailing you! read more

The Dr. and staff at the Aspen Dental in Monroe Michigan are the best I have ever dealt with. I have been dealing with cracked teeth, root canals, tooth extractions and loose fitting partials for years. Dr Eyad and his staff ( Angel, Chelsea and Selena ) had me fixed up and on my way in four short visits. They didn't try to sell me products and procedures I didn't need, they explained prices and financing on the first visit and more importantly the whole thing has been pain free. Had I gone to Aspen Dental first I would have saved myself lots of money and misery. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This place is a complete joke. They over charge for everything and play it off like it's "normal" and that other offices just don't charge you accordingly. Make sure you fully check your itemized dental plan because they will also slide in extras that you do not need. The worst part is the office staff. They are very rude and condescending. When you go a week with trying to get ahold of someone to get an emergency (or at least what other dental offices consider an emergency) and no one calls you back and they cannot understand that you cannot take off work they talk to you like your the bad guy and the idiot because you are completely upset. I had Aspen do my upper dentures, I have been wearing my new permanent dentures for only 8 months. Last night one of the teeth fell out. I called today, to let them know I was dropping them off. They are making me wait 2 weeks, said I need an exam, which I DON'T! All they have to do, is put the tooth back in. I'm wearing my temporary ones, and they are hurting my gums. Aspen doesn't care about their patients! I have not been happy with them from day one. HORRIBLE experience! I would not refer anyone to them. read more

My husband paid Aspen Dentle of Monroe Michigan over $8000 for dentures that are not usable. First they did impressions before they pulled his teeth. Made the temporarys and he was supposed to be contacted after 6 months for his permant dentures. He was never contacted he called them and made an appointment. When he went in for permant dentures they told him they had to make new impressions. (What happened to the original impressions with his original teeth) The had to call him back a second time to remake the impressions again. Then when the Dentures were done he was called back in. The permant dentures are a complete joke. They do not fit is mouth the teeth are too big for his mouth and they are so sloppy loose they fall out every time he opens his mouth. He puts glue in them that dosen't work either and he can't even take one bite of food they break loose. He can't wear the bottom dentures because the teeth are 3 times the size of his original teeth and he can't even bite down with the tops and bottoms in. We had a horrible experience with the temporaries he was back in the office 6 or more times for adjustments. He has been back in for the permant dentures as well. These permant dentures were not made properly and the treatment was very unprofessional. He needs the dentist to listen to him and do what needs to be done to make this right. The dentist never stays in the room if he even comes in. These dentures need to be remade correctly. We are so upset I am ready to get an attorny involved. They need to make this $8000 purchse right stand behind what you say and to the right thing. We are working class people and don't have $8000 to throw around willy nilly this kind of money does not come easy when you are just scraping by. read more

They assured me that they accepted my insurance. What they don't tell you is *some* of the doctors at that location accept your insurance and some do not. You don't find this out until they send you a bill in the mail saying your insurance denied the claim. read more

AWFUL experience! While the people at the call center are really kind, there is a massive lack of communication, and the office staff is terrible. My mom's partial broke on Friday and we needed a repair A.S.A.P. The person I spoke with at the call center, "Chris" was great and very supportive. I made it abundantly clear that all we needed was a quick repair to get through the weekend at least, and that we would follow up with our regular local dental office, later. She understood, and said that none of the Toledo locations had appointments available to help us on Saturday, but that if we didn't mind driving, that we could get help in Monroe. Since the 45 minute drive seemed a small inconvenience to bear in order to get a dental appliance repaired on a Saturday, we went ahead with the scheduling, We made the drive the next morning, arriving a few minutes ahead of the 9:15 appointment time to fill out paperwork. It was the usual intake paperwork... even though we were there for a simple repair. Mom filled it out anyway, and we waited. And, waited. A full 30 minutes beyond the appointment time, in an empty room, while at least 6 people milled around the receptionist area. At one point, mom expressed her frustration out loud and I noticed one of the staff members eyeing us with disdain. Shortly thereafter, the very same person, a 40'ish looking lady with short, blonde hair and glasses appeared at the door with mom's file and called her name. She proceeded to be really rude and dismissive when mom tried to explain that all she needed was a repair to her partial. Mom was then also informed that there wasn't even anybody in the lab to do the repair that day. Mom turned on her heel and walked out. Not one person stepped up to try and help, or even apologize for their screw-up. To top it off, I got a text the next day saying they were sorry we missed our appointment! No... we were there. Aspen failed us - MISERABLY. They wasted our time, our gas money, and had the nerve to be nasty on top of it. I tried calling back this morning. This time, "Linda" from the call center was apologetic, and helpful. She tried to get us help from one of the local offices. Nearly 40 minutes on the phone, to no avail. No answer, just an endless loop of muzak, annoying voice-over by the phone system that interrupted even when an actual human attempted to speak to me, and finally getting disconnected. They told me I had Gingivitis and wanted to charge me almost $2,000 for special cleaning and antibiotics. That is with dental insurance. I went back to my previous dentist and was told my gums were fine and that Aspen was just trying to meet quotas. It is damn shameful they try to get money out of people like that read more

Terrible office. The xray machine is really outdated, it hurts your mouth really really bad. Ive been to other dentists before and this was the worse experience ive had. They said i could do a cleaning after the xray and they didn't. They also make you wait for a long time. Nothing good to say about the Dentist either. I do not recomend them read more

I was very displeased with this place. I had a problem with every woman here except the x-ray tech. Even though she cut my mouth twice she was nice. Everyone else treated me terribly and literally refused to give me any meds for the terrible toothaches I had gone in for. The woman responsible for financing acted like it was a joke that I could not afford everything. The dentist herself acted like I was the scum of the Earth for not keeping my teeth pristine. I do not have dental insurance so I cannot keep up with them as best I'd like. I don't need her to make me ashamed. I could overhear the conversations with other patients and they too seemed very unhappy. I will never return here and will also urge friends not to as well. I have also been trying to get my x-rays they took and am getting the run around. I noticed someone else's review mentioned they felt like they were being swindled out of more money and I too felt the same. read more

So far my experience has been good here. Staff is courteous and friendly. However they have poor planning when the dentist had to call off for an emergency. I had a painful tooth and they cancelled the appts last minute. I would have to wait another week. Thankfully I called their other location. They were able to see me right away and the staff was much friendlier and organized. read more

Office staff is terrible. Overcharged and then had to jump through hoops for a refund. Corporate office isn't interested in helping either. I suggest using a more honest dental practice. They told me a number of lies such as not having my insurance information that day and were impossible to get a hold of regarding my over charge. Got work done in May/April didn't receive a refund until August. Refused to issue the refund to a check since I paid half cash and half credit. Initially told me I'd get it back in check but retracted that after I waited another 12 days for my refund. read more

As far as my dental experience, it's been the worst event(s) of my entire life - no exaggeration. I do not know where the blame lies, but I have been waiting 4 months to have a bridge completed. It has been one error after the other and has left me in pain and disrepair the entire time. I had roughly 8 appointments canceled/rescheduled (last minute mind you), and have had my dental work made incorrectly multiple times and/or sent to the wrong establishment. On one occasion I was in the chair from 8am-1pm - no lie!!!!! My one saving grace is that they have some wonderful staff who have bent over backwards to get me back on track even though it was not their doing where the errors have occurred. My biggest thanks goes out to Mark. B. (office) and Marilyn (hygienist) for having kindness and compassion during all of these awful procedures and not making me feel like a number standing at the local deli. Mark, especially, has been very patient with me as this whole experience has left me rather soured against having anything else done at the Monroe and Adrian offices. read more

My experience at the Aspen Dental office in Monroe was excellent. I was scheduled for a routine check-up and was taking X-rays within 10 minutes of arriving at the office. The X-ray procedure was extremely easy and didn't scrape the inside of the mouth like other X-ray experiences I've had in the past. I then met/saw the doctor who recommended that we fix a filling that had grown some decay under a previous filling. We were able to do the filling that same day and get the entire procedure (X-rays and filling) done within 45 minutes. Overall, this office is very fast and efficient with a nice staff. The office staff seems to realize that going to dentist can be stressful and tries to make it a more relaxing experience by making you feel at home and reassuring you throughout the process. read more

Horrible experience. Very used-car-salesman vibe going on here. We were overcharged for the first visit, still have yet to receive any type of bill from our visit, and they could not get the appointment time correct if the business depended on it. They also scheduled an appointment for someone who did not request one. They give a good front, but when it comes down to it, the service/billing is horrible. Dr. A is gentle & staff are nice. But expect to be there 2 1/2 hours plus for a couple fillings because they over book & the dr. goes back forth between patients or something. So if you get stressed at the dentist be prepared for the very long stressful wait. Also they try to bill you extra after you already pay the set amount, happened to me twice & 3 other people. read more
