I arrived to my appointment, they took x-rays, then told me the hygienist left early so I had to come back another day for my teeth cleaning... I went to Aspen Dental in January of 2026. To say the least, they are incompetent. The way they do practice should not be allowed. I went in looking to get a cleaning and see about my dental health. I left feeling put down, and being told I have 13 cavities. I personally am a person that pays close attention to my dental health. Floss after every meal, brush twice a day if not more. I left there with a care plan that would have cost me thousands of dollars. I was asked "do you even floss or brush your teeth twice a day"?, I was "asked "what does your diet look like then?", mind you I laughed when they asked me. I told them that is simply not possible with the attention I have on my oral health. I left and did not return. I finally found a new dentist. A real one mind you, and turns out I have 0 cavities and they complimented how well my teeth were taken care of. So therefore, how in good conscious could this place drill into healthy teeth and call that an appropriate practice. Avoid this place at all costs. They only want your money. read more

I had probably the worst visit to a dentist office ever. Appointment was made for full denture. After the Dr. looked at my mouth for about 6 seconds she ask what I wanted bc she thought front bottom should stay. I agreed , from K9(insisor)to k9 we will keep. Then finance/billing info next. As she explained cost I was very confused. There was a lot of added procedures that we NEVER talked about. Billing statement, what was discussed and what they did all differed. When I questioned it and told them I was having the surgery elsewhere they got visibly angry, heads spun to look. I have very good insurance and they tried their best to chop up every dime they could. Days later for my denture pick up she brought them out in a sandwich bag and dropped them on the counter w/o a word. I stood in disbelief. I went here several years when the first opened because I am terrified of going to the dentist. I had a horrible experience in the past. I have severe chronic pain so the dentist would have to consult my pain management doctor. I didn't have dental coverage back then because I was waiting for my disability to begin. I needed X-rays and one filling. They quoted me over 2 thousand dollars for X-rays and one filling. I was going to try them again this week because I need massive work done but I see most of the reviews are terrible. They actually wanted me to cash out my entire retirement plan to pay for thousands of dollars for one filling. I guess if I called now I'm afraid it would bankrupt our family. Money hungry. I don't ever leave reviews, but I went in for a general cleaning and maybe a whitening if it got to that point. They did the bare minimum of looking at my teeth, got me out of the chair, and quoted me at $4k for things I didn't want and was not offered anything else. I was told "come back when you're ready then". They tried pushing a credit card, and the manager was not personable AT ALL and, frankly, was a little condescending. The doctors and hygienists were nice, however every trashcan was full, their tools were not fresh and were sitting out on trays, and the floors were DISGUSTING. The x-ray machine had grime on the piece that you rest your chin on. Nothing felt clean or sanitary. I will not be recommending this establishment. Do better. read more

Rude, deceitful and money hungry. I was lied to about my insurance coverage. I now have a bill that I will not be paying. The dentures are complete garbage. They do not fit period. The technician kept shoving them into my mouth, bruising my gums. My gums were swollen and painful for a week. She told me to keep wearing them and they will eventually fit. There is ABSOLUTELY no way possible to wear them. They might as well belong to someone else. I had called just prior to Christmas with major tooth pain. My family dentist told me I needed a root canal but could not get me in for over a month. So aspen dental said they could get me in sooner. I just needed a referral. They even said they would call my dentist and get everything the needed. So I waited and waited for them to call once they had everything. But no call..... Call backs days later. The girl doing it went away and wouldnt be back to after the appointment they said the could get me in at. But no one was working on getting the necessary papers and records. Finally someone else started trying to get them. But never got them all. I found a way to get them the rest so I could make the appoint I was promised. Then they tell me they are booked on that day and it will be 4 weeks til they can get me in. Even though they knew I needed that appointment since before Christmas. And the last one had just been booked earlier that day. And they did that knowing I was trying to get in there since BEFORE Christmas. So now I have another 3 weeks of pain that feels like a needle through my tooth and into the nerve because they gave away the appoint they promised me. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Who gives away someone appointment who is in so much pain and willing to pay cash up front. And then tells you it will be another month for the appointment you called about 2 weeks earlier. read more

I used Aspen Dental for a fairly large procedure back in September 2018. The bill was paid in full and the dental surgeon did excellent work. Several months after the bill was paid in full I receive a communication from a bill collector almost a year later. I called the Aspen Dental office in Muncy PA (2 )times and spoke with office staff about the $1500.00 balance they were claiming. Both times I was unable to get an answer about what the charges were for when the bill was paid in full. I never received any return calls from management as I requested. I called Aspen Dental corporate offices to escalate my complaint. It has been 1 week and I have yet to get any communication. Aspen Dental obviously does not care about their customers or providing any customer service. Complete failure on all the way around. I have chosen to take my business elsewhere since Aspen Dental has failed to communicate with me and be transparent about what I am being charged for after my bill was paid in full. read more

I went to my Aspen appointment. They took lots of X-rays. The hygienist checked my teeth and said ''not to bad.'' Then the dentist came in and I liked her at first, but left not liking her at all. She said I needed all kinds of work done to my teeth. I told her I just needed a check up and to have my chipped front tooth fixed. When I told her I didn't want what she wanted me to do, she says, ''Will you do it for me?'' I said no I won't, I just need my front tooth fixed. She preceded to tell me again what she wanted to do for my teeth. So I asked her, are you saying if I don't agree to the work you want to do on my teeth, then you won't fix my one chipped tooth? She said, that's right. I told her she was a big disappointment to me because she didn't care about me as a patient. At first the dentist was nice and then everything changed when I said no to all this expensive work she wanted to do. The Aspen office I went to was in Muncy, Pa and the dentist name was Dr. T short for something. Everything this dentist wanted me to do would have put me in debt. After breaking a molar Monday evening, the crew at Aspen managed to squeeze me in on Tuesday. Dr. Burton and Terry actually stayed late in order to do my extraction. Dr. Burton had jet lag and was very tired but after seeing my tooth, could not send me home that way. So he turned off the TV, cranked up some music and went to work. I had to have some dental work done on my one front tooth a few years ago. I had an implant for my one tooth and they did a great job. It's my one front tooth and when you look at it you would never know it was a fake tooth. It matches my other teeth and looks great. And their price was much lower than a quote I got from another dental office. They are my regular dentist now. I go there for all my dental work. The staff it very nice and answers any questions you have. I have never liked going to the dentist but they really helped put me at ease when I have to go and have dental work done. read more

I have been going to aspen for a little while now. My visits have been interesting. Ive read other peoples reviews and Ive been asking around and so far I'm realizing that Aspen doesn't have a great reputation! I will tell you a little about my experiences. My first visit I had pictures taken (xrays) and I wasn't impressed with the way everything that was in my mouth was just wiped down. Then I had to go back out into waiting area and wait for another 20min. When I came back it was another 20 min before I saw the doctor that didn't even speak to me. Another time I waited more than the first to see a doctor.The assistant was very pleasant and apologetic. I had questions for the doctor about my treatment as it seemed the doctors do not agree on my work.One is obviously more intelligent and experienced than the other. The bottom line is I did not feel important. I was expecting a more personable experience and it was more like McDonalds of dentistry. read more

When you're too far into it (so they think) to do anything else they hit with some excuse like they lost their supplier and double your initial estimate, they put the wrong size teeth in my mouth ruining my facial muscles and then think you should be grateful to them that they will fix it. This has been the worst dental experience of my life. Haven't been able to bite or chew since before Memorial day. Botched surgery kept my lower plate from ever fitting due to extreme pain and the upper was jamming my inside cheek. Had a second visit to fix the upper and it now has two sharp edges cutting both inside cheeks and it has lost suction due to too much grinding down. I went in for a third visit for a reline on the upper and to discuss the lower for a new impression. The dental assistant was so rude when I mentioned anything other than the reline and said " You are scheduled for a reline today and that's what you're going to get." She did mention getting the Dr. but after sitting there awhile I left the chair, went upfront to schedule an impression and was stonewalled at the desk because the receptionists need the Dr.'s ok. I had mentioned a new impression on the second visit and he (the Dr.) just talked over me. I went there today for a exam and ex-ray. When I got there all the people I spoke to were very kind ,especially the lady who gave me the ex-rays. It did not take long for me to be called back (after filling out paper work it was around 15 minutes). So starting off I was very satisfied. All of that changed when I saw the dentist. Well actually the place where I was going to get examined looked gross and dirty. I was thinking about leaving just because off that fact, but back to the dentist. He came in smiling which is always nice and he looked at my teeth for about a minute. He made sure to announce ever cavity in dentist terms very loudly to his assistant. But I was still not completely over the visit. That was until this "dentist" ,and I use the term loosely, told me that I had 14 cavities and gingivitis. I am sure that I do not have 14 cavities and I am also sure that I do not have gingivitis but I did not say anything. He told me in this deep voice that I guess was supposed to terrify me. It almost seemed like a bad movie because he came over and was like "ohh sigh, well this, um, you have 14 cavities your teeth are going to fall out when you walk outside." okay I may have improvised a little but that is what it felt like. It was the worst acting ever. They then told me to wait so that I could speak to the financial lady. When I saw her i explained to her that I am not concern about any cavities except the one that I can visibly see. (PS: The whole reason that I went was to try and get a cavity filled in the front of my mouth. I knew that I had a few other and I also did not expect to get it filled on the first visit. But that was my only concern. ) She then said that she would ask the dentist if I could only get that one filled. She was very nice about the situation and tried to work with me. When she came back from asking the dentist said that He wouldn't only fill one and that two would have to be filled because they are next to each other. Now this made me very upset because another dentist had just filled my sisters tooth that had the exact same problem and he didn't have to do the one next to it. Also the "dentist" had just told me in the examination room that I did not have to worry about that tooth because there was only some very minimal decay on it. Also those teeth although next to each other do not touch because I have gaps in my teeth. She then proceeded to tell me that the treatment would cost 400 dollars out of pocket. I told her that a lady on the phone told me that it would be 130 dollars per filling. She said the prices very which I can believe so I asked about financing and she said that the treatment had to be over 1000 dollars to do that and that she could charge me for all my fillings which if they all cost around the same price would be 2800 dollars and I could finance that. I told her that that would not be an option because I am in school and paying for it. By that time I could see that she knew I probably wasn't going to get work done from them. I then told her that I would have to get back to them and schedule later; which I may have actually done but when I said that her face just changed and what once was friendly smiles and a pleasant attitude turned cold. No one even said goodbye to me as I left. Including the women who was sitting directly across from me trying to seize my money. So I say screw em. Overall This place is horrible because they just flat out lie to you. I did not want to leave a review on Google plus because it would show my full name and I don't want them to contact me.
