I rarely write public reviews, but my recent experience at Aspen Dental in Greece, NY was disturbing, unprofessional, and, in several ways, negligent. From the moment I arrived, the dental assistant displayed clear impatience and rudeness. While taking my X-rays, she repeatedly blamed me for her difficulty, saying my tongue was "in the way," and became visibly annoyed. She then refused to finish the last two X-rays altogether, saying she simply wouldn't take them and implying she would make up an excuse if anyone asked. During my extraction, the same assistant continued acting dismissive and unprofessional. When I expressed pain as the dentist pulled my cheek extremely hard, she smirked and made comments suggesting I shouldn't be hurting saying he hasn't even put the needle in yet. Her tone and behavior were completely inappropriate for someone working inches from a patient's face during a procedure. The extraction itself felt rushed and rough. My tooth broke during the process, and the assistant made comments such as "I've never seen it done like that before," which did nothing to instill confidence. After the tooth was removed, I was left sitting upright with broken pieces of my tooth still in my mouth. No one rinsed my mouth before or after the procedure. I had to discreetly remove pieces of tooth myself while standing there. When the procedure was finished, neither the dentist nor the assistant offered any post-op instructions. They did not explain aftercare, did not check if I was okay, and made no effort to ensure I understood how to manage the extraction site. I was simply told, "Well, you can leave," despite being clearly dazed from the amount of Novocaine used. I have had multiple extractions in my life, and I have never once been sent home without instructions or without even rinsing the area. Some staff members in the office were kind, but the individuals directly involved in my care were unprofessional, careless, and inattentive to basic standards of dental practice. The lack of communication, lack of aftercare, failure to complete X-rays, rough handling, and failure to rinse or remove debris after an extraction are all unacceptable. This was the worst dental experience I have ever had, and I am posting this so other patients can make informed decisions. In addition, I have been very ill since the procedure. This is now day two, and I am still extremely unwell. I had to call off work because of how poorly I felt after what should have been a simple tooth extraction. I strongly believe that the rough handling, lack of rinsing, and lack of basic aftercare contributed to how sick I have been since leaving the office. No patient should ever feel this way after a routine dental procedure. read more

It's been over a year since I was here. Whomever the drs name. Male foreign older tried telling me I had mouth cancer thank God I went and got a second opinion already paying cash. He's just trying to scam me. I don't recommend this place to anybody ever all the stuff you wanted to do to me, horrible person and scammer. Wouldn't send my worst enemy here read more

We had the worst experience with Aspen Dental on Chili Ave.! We had a consult and got a quote. When we called to tell them we wanted to proceed, we were ghosted for at least three weeks!! Luckily, we found a much better place to go to. Sometimes, the Universe will give you signs of where NOT to be! Lol read more

It had been quite a few years since Ive been to the dentist. Initially I thought that this would be a good place. The dental hygienist that took my x rays was polite and the recommendations the dentist made were accurate...but then it all started to fall apart. Billing: It was explained to me that insurance would cover most of my trip and I could make installments out of pocket, so I did. It was roughly 170-200 per visit for my 3 part procedure. Upon completion and payment of my 3rd procedure I received yet another bill in the mail for the electric toothbrush they "absolutely recommended" to me which they did not explain was an extra charge. This bill came roughly 2 months after I was all finished. Thanks for the surprise! The Dentist: My final cleaning was mainly the dentist poking at my gums with a pick and rushing through a hasty cleaning with the electric brush. Upon completion she started to floss... I have never been in a more uncomfortable situation in my life. The dentist took the floss and basically forced it between my teeth and downward until she had basically hit the bone, and then kept it up until my entire mouth was bleeding profusely. I know I'm not the best at flossing, but this was downright terrible. I would ABSOLUTELY NEVER recommend that anyone go here for even a teeth cleaning. read more

DENTAL WARNING !!! I have not been to a dentist in many years and was experiencing some toothpain. I went to Aspen Dental in Greece and was told I had severe gum disease and an exposed root and referred to a periodontist, his" good friend" on S. Clinton St. I was not excited to head way over there and a friend recommended a periodontist in Greece. Bottom line he had no idea why I was sent to a periodontist , there was nothing wrong with gum and my pain was from an old filling giving way. Oh, BTW supposedly my gums were so bad only a specialist could even clean my teeth!!! SOOOO i just paid $104 to find out all I need is to go to a dentist that knows what they are doing! ALSO... my daughter in law went to Aspen and was told she had 13 cavities and needed a root canal!! She got a second opinion and she only had 2 minor cavities! read more

Have been going to the Greece office for past 2 1/2 years now. Everyone is always so nice.. had to wait a little bit longer but they recognized this and kept apologizing. As a consumer that's all that is needed.. they make you feel valued. Wonderful staff .. so friendly. They make going to a Dentist a pleasant experience. read more

This place is good for getting your teeth cleaned but if you need something major done I would go somewhere else. I had four of my wisdom teeth removed at this place. Many people find this hard to believe - and it is hard to believe even for me - but this is what happened. I got a ride down there from my wife. Before I went in I had called my mom to let her know I was going to have this done. I go in the room. They knock me out. 15 minutes later they are throwing me out the back door with blood dripping out of my mouth. Sure, you are probably thinking that just can't be right. I wouldn't have believed it myself if I didn't have my wife there to give me that ride and corroborate everything. She also called my mother because she was all nervous after it was done so I have a time stamp and real information that proves it. I ended up having dry sockets, which was probably my fault, but the worst part was being shoved out the back door bleeding after that grip-n-rip they performed on me. The reason I bring this up, because it happened probably two years ago, is because I was talking to another customer of theirs yesterday. They mangled him too! Beware! read more

Aspen on a whole has incredibly misleading billing practices, push unnecessary procedures, and have no sort of record system that connects with their other offices for medical information or scheduling information. That being said, Dr. Basha at the Greece location is fantastic and very kind. He always made my experience a pleasant one. I wish I could say the rest for the rest of the local staff or the company itself. Every time I went in for a hygienist appointment the staff would complain in front of me about their schedule, each other, and worst of all other patients. I had to recently call to cancel an appointment (which is still over two months away) because I moved from the area. The online patient portal through the Aspen website said the appointment date was February 2nd. When I told the secretary this she was so snappy and told me she couldn't find the appointment on that day. She searched my birthday and rudely informed me that I was actually scheduled for January 31st. Completely ignoring the fact that the patient portal and in office schedule system somehow have different dates no one deserves to be spoken to rudely when calling an office that should be providing them care. I hope Dr. Basha will cut ties with this horrendous company and join another practice. read more

From someone who USED TO hate going to the dentist, I cannot say enough about this place. I absolutely love them! The staff are so friendly and personable, but best of all, efficient and good at what they do! I have had a lot of work done in a short period of time. I had the new patient exam, a root canal, 3 fillings, 2 wisdoms removed, and a deep clean. I remember that going to the dentist used to be painful. Cleanings hurt, fillings hurt, drool, choking on water lol, these are all things I remember. Well I recently decided to get a handle on my dental health, and aspen is where my insurance provider sent me. I am so happy they did! I didn't even sleep the night before my root canal because I was so terrified of all of the horror stories you hear. That dr. was so nice and let me tell you, he never hurt me once! He put the shots in, and after that I felt absolutely nothing. The next couple days, I felt absolutely great, NO PAIN. Same thing with the fillings, they were done quickly, I didn't feel the usual pinching that I sometimes feel when I get fillings, I was in and out. The wisdom extraction, the doctor was very good about explaining everything that happened. Once the sedative took affect, it was a wild ride I must say, but I definitely never felt any pain. When I recovered from my last wisdom removals, I remember being in excruciating pain. This was an uncomfortable recovery but never a painful recovery. Just left my deep clean appointment, and it was the fastest and most painless cleaning I've ever had. I could go on and on about this place, but you should just experience it for yourself. I wish everyone could have a dentistry like this because then no one would be afraid to go! They have different doctors doing different tasks, and I met all of them while getting my work done. They're all different in their own ways, but all very good at what they do. Thumbs up! read more

was refered here to have my daughters wisdom teeth removed the 1st appointment went well was quoted $50 for this procedure. we went yesterday to have her wisdom teeth removed, they prepped her did the IV her blood pressure was going up and down bc she was nervous 2 minute into it she got super nervous and asked them to stop.. The dentist then told me she can not come back to get them removed if she decided to change her mind... How unprofessinal is that she is a 17 year old nervous girl people cant understand that... read more
