TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Waited over an hour in the waiting room, was not made aware that my insurance was not accepted even after they "looked it up". Got x-rays done, never even got my teeth cleaned, and then was scheduled for a wisdom teeth removal appointment for which they quoted me $20,000. I cancelled that appointment and still somehow owe them $2,500 after not even a cleaning. SCAMMERS!! The also pressured me into signing up for financial assistance, while I still was unaware my services would not be covered by insurance. :((((((( read more

I would give a zero if I could, dont even know where to being. Appt not recognized, blamed it on the answering service,short staffed, would cancel appts while in the office, never in my life have I spent from 830 to 1230 at a dentist appt. I would suggest if you have a first appt on Monday mornings. Make sure the water stored in the plastic tank has been washed and refilled. The dentist didnt even know how to start up the water sprayer. When I noticed water in the jug I asked het if it had been there all weekend. She said oh someone must have forgot. Ill get a clean one. Dentist one day did all this work with no assistance, tore my mouth up and I actually have divits along the side of my touch where she kept hitting my tounge,Say they called you, when you have caller ID and they could leave a message, when never received this supposed call. Got charged for my 2 first appts almost 200 dollars. Then set me up with this care credit for the remainder, dentist actually charged for all this work to be done and I was already getting billed with interest before I had any treatment done. After paying them off in 6 months, they actually had the nerve to send me a letter apologizing that starting at the beginning of my treatment, something was off with thier billing and attached was every thing I had done and off to the side was a negative balance that they said I still owed. They never had recorded my first 2 initial payments of almost 200 dollars but then wanted to charge me again almost another 200 dollars. That I refused to pay disputed it. Never heard anything after that. I will never go back there again. Billing and charging interest on people for work not completed yet, just seems real shady. While in the waiting area, must have been at least 3 people came in complaining about something. Should have just walked out right then. read more

I had an appointment at 9 am on Friday had a swollen jaw needed prescription I left and they haven't send the prescription to the pharmacy and now they are closed on weekends so what's the point they only got me there to make a plan for themselves of how much money they can get of me read more

This was the longest dentist appointment I've ever had in my life and all I got was X-rays and a look inside my mouth. I just moved to St. Joseph and was establishing care. Went to Aspen because it was close and easy to schedule an appointment. The convenience stopped there. It took forever to get past the check in. They took more X-rays than I have ever had in my life (18). Perhaps I'm used to family dentists who just take a few but this felt excessive. Then they put me in the examination chair where I waited about a half hour. Then the hygienist came in and looked at gums. Then another half hour for the e dentist. Both dentist and hygienist were very nice and knowledgeable, albeit confined to a mess of a practice. Dentist had to get called out mid examination to look at another patient. Finally the visit concluded to my shock mind you because I thought I was at least getting a clinic. Then it took yet another half hour to meet with the finance people to talk about payment for future cleaning and filling replacement. This is my first time at a "chain" dental office and it's not ideal by any means. I feel bad for the dentists and hygienist because they're really trying but bogged down by an awful commercial practice that I'm sure is only concerned with making as much money as possible and not actually patient care. read more

CHECK ALL OTHER IN NET WORK OPTIONS FIRST!!! Some of the people are good, the practice needs to be better. I would rate this place a zero if I could. I arrived early to fill out new client info to start my appointment on time and still sat over an hour in the waiting room. They did 2 types of X-rays which took half an hour then they ran out of time to do a cleaning. (The one who put the plastic cover over the mouth piece for the X-rays didn't use gloves the first time) Even tho the cost was in-network prices I can't get my time back. I was informed the cleaning is not part of the initial covered visit and need to pay out of pocket for that service another day. If I went to another business that could have done the service in the same appointment it would have been covered. read more

If there was a way to give this place a 0 rating I would. From losing my chart, arguing with me about where I've had dental procedures done (they can bill you for it but not keep a record they actually did it), to misbooking appointments. I live an hour away and made an appointment only for the dentist to be 2.5 hrs late then tell me I have to come back another day cause she "doesnt have time" to do the appointment. Then when I show up to the newly scheduled appointment (that I have a card for), I'm told that's not my appointment time and I'll have to come back in a month. Amateur hour at best. Not to mention the whole reason I had the appointment was because their Office didn't do a good job fixing the tooth before so I had to have it done again. Ridiculous!!! I will never return to this practice. I had deep cleaning done in February. I was told how much the service was going to cost after my insurance and made sure that there would be no hidden charges. 2 months later I get a bill for $200 and am just told 'sorry, insurance paid less than we expected.' This is not ok after I had been told I was paid in full. The office staff also called me 'dear' as if I am not a grown woman. RUN! They will bait and switch you. They say you need a deep cleaning that you don't need before they can do anything else, not tell you it will cost $2,700. They sign you up for a very high interest credit card from Genesis credit without telling you. They are almost worse than Aspen. Get you hooked in so you never get out of the debt. Please run far away these people are crooks. Do your research. They are wolves dressed in sheep's clothing at Aspen. read more

First, I was really floored by how detailed the Dentist was. He explained EVERYTHING to me while showing me my X-rays. Very impressed with that. All of the staff are super nice, and I really enjoyed having a TV in front of me to help take my mind off the NOISES!! lol However; I felt really pressured to fill out forms for financial help (which would go on my credit if approved) for $30,000 worth of work. That's what was quoted to me!!! The financial assistant was very nice and explained the options to get my teeth fixed (I have MS, and a med that I was on destroyed my teeth) but again, felt very pressured to sign papers and choose a procedure. So, just OK for me. I would recommend them to friends and family, but I would also let them know about my experience. read more

I met almost every employee and each was just as kind and helpful as the last. They explained everything thoroughly and gave specific recommendations for cleaning techniques and toothbrush types. They even had TV in the exam rooms to help me destress! So excited to have found this place. read more

If I could give a negative star, I would! Aspen dental is just as bad as northwest. I'm beyond furious and beyond in so much pain due to aspen dental. Your suppose to guarantee a smile, cheap rates, satisfied customers, get us out of pain quickly. I've received nothing but terrible service with this company!! There is only one member who RECENTLY is trying to fix this and I appreciate him. But currently it's been since end of July 2021 when the issues from this place started!! Tell me how it's taken almost a year before getting PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have called numerous times to the customer support number itself today the lady was quit a bitch. No nice way of putting it. Suppose to have been since yesterday had issues with my payment before my visit which is a whole another story itself! And I was sent away because it was taken so long which I had been there an hr. They wanted payment before I could proceed and be checked in! Absolutely disgusting how this company is ran I am beyond appalled and as soon as this mistake is taken care of best belive I'll never be back again and make sure to tell everyone I know the horror stories this place will cause. I'm in so much pain I've been back and forth about just Taking myself out since it's Friday during a NORMAL BUSSINESS DAY they are closed due to "training purposes" so I have to wait till monday, Because no I can't go anywhere else cause if so then I'm responsible for 1000 crown when I cant afford it, and this tooth is apart of my smile and I'm not gonna have it pulled and mess up my smile just because they can't get it together, the whole first visit this one tooth and a wisdom is what i asked to be fixed. I spent over 1600 and they cleaned and drilled and prepped that tooth to be filled but yet it was never done and everytime ive expressed how its not right and needs to be finished or fixed thats when they say i need a crown on it and im responsible for their mistake it's not right or fair! But luckily like I said this one gentleman in the office has been very nice and understanding and has informed me I will not have to pay for them to fix it even if it's a crown. Thank God for him, but still overall it's been a terrible experience. I can't say which dentist or staff member strictly for the fact everytime I've been in I've seen all new people. I was hesitant about trying out a "chain" dentistry office but I'm so glad that I did! I was in severe pain from a wisdom tooth and they got me in within an hour. Making the appointment was very easy, a few quick clicks online and I had an appointment. Everyone at this office was very friendly and welcoming. The office was very clean and every single encounter that I had with staff from the front desk to the dentist was amazing. The assistant that took my x-rays was very nice and she explained every step that they took with my care. The dental hygienist was very informative with showing me on my x-rays what was going on. Finally, the dentist - Dr. Dulin is the best dentist that I've ever been too. He explained everything very thoroughly and answered all of my questions - he didn't hurry through my visit, he took lots of time to make sure that I knew the plan of action, etc. The insurance/business office lady was the last step of my visit and she was very informative and thorough in explaining how my insurance would cover. Overall, this was the best visit to a dentist that I've ever had - I finally have found my dental home! read more

My son had his teeth all pulled at aspen dental in st. Joseph, mo. They pulled all his teeth and said well its time to close so he needs to sit up all nite and you need to watch him so he dont bleed to death. Was told he was walking out with teeth and couldn't wear then for 2 months after going the first time. So finally getting his teeth in they put soft liners in them because they don't fit. Had to called the office and the manager said well we don't have any appointments . He will have to go to kc. I had to call corp. Office to get soft liners. Really. So after a month the top are broken and again office managers say he will have to drive to k.c. so they have no one in that office who can work on false teeth and never any appointments when they cost over 6000.00 dollars. He had to call corp again to get his money back. He talked to Amanda who is reg manager. She told him I could go get the paper for him to sign since he works till 5pm and they are closed.. went into the office on weds and the office manager said he would have to come in and sign. I couldn't have the papers. Teeth are still broken and he can't wear them. He is going to have to take off work to go in there. The office manager is rude and hateful. Well we are going in there on Thursday and let's see what the excuse is today. Never go to that place for dental work. They can't man the office and don't know what they are doing.
