AAAMMAZZING!!! My visit was in November 2023 and I was so impressed with the dentist. He took care of a chipped tooth that another dentist before him had said he done the best that he could do and that it wasn't a big deal, I can live with it. So I did for about a year and a half and then I go on to see this dentist at Aspen dental and he completely smoothed it out with no problem. After my last Dentist, I would be sore for days and couldn't eat certain foods, with my new dentist I was eating solids with no problem at the end of the day. Best dentist EVVERRR! read more

I had a crown come loose and found out my normal dentist was closed on Friday. Not wanting to go the whole weekend with a loose crown I called Aspen and was sent to what I gathered was a call center. I told them the situation and they scheduled me an appointment at the Slidell office the next morning. When I arrived, the receptionist said my appointment was for a consultation and would not include and dental work. That was it for me, so my advice is to find a good local dentist and avoid what I consider to be a predatory bunch of scoundrels. read more

I have been searching for a dentist in Slidell since being moved here a year ago. I tried one and they were terribly rude, but had done x-rays, but did not address my emergency. I got with Aspen in less than 2 weeks after procuring my X-rays from only 2 weeks prior. They wouldn't use them. They took a another whole set and then some. The dental hygienist came in and to this day I do not know what she looks like or her name as there was no introduction, just standing behind me and berating me for pockets I have. When I said I had previously gotten ill after my last periodontal cleaning,she said I have NEVER heard of that! I don't want to say that didn't happen, but.....I am 65, saw the same dentist in Michigan for over 35 years and she berated me like I had never gone to a dentist. My last visit prior to Slidell was a year, but unfortunately that was due to some unexpected life interuption. I did get my emergency taken care of, it did not go as smoothly as my many years with a great dentist, but the dentist here was nice. I also got the upsell for an electric toothbrush, which I have used for years and again the hygienist said I can't believe you use an electric. I also got told toothpaste, flouride treatment and so on. I was told that they would not do ANYTHING else till I had the periodontal cleaning. I also just got a statement from my insurance company that they won't pay the x-rays because they were to soon after the others. I will now be charged for that. I am to the point I think I will make my every 6 month cleanings back in Michigan. The cost of airfare and out of pocket would probably be less than Aspens quote of up charges. I rated 2 only for the dentist. The hygienist needs a dressing down, I don't care how many years she's been doing it. Rude is STILL RUDE! read more

When a patient is clearly uncomfortable and in pain the last thing you need to do in a healthcare facility is to make the patient feel awful for not properly taking X-rays or rushed to sit in a chair that makes her anxiety skyrocket! Why would you cut off a patient who is expressing how much they're scared of dentist just to tell them she doesn't care she's not a dentist she's a dental hygienist. None of these things will make patients feel comfortable around this staff. I'm afraid empathy training wouldn't even work. read more

Have an oral surgeon appointment at 1pm and it's 2pm and I'm still waiting. Was also told that my one of my insurance companies didn't approve a certain procedure I had done so I decided to call my insurance company. Lol and behold my insurance company stated that no claims were submitted to them.. Finally got to see the oral surgeon after a 70min wait for an implant placement but I'm now being referred to another oral surgeon lol.... read more

Seriously steer clear of this place. You will never be rid of them. So number one anyone who knows anything about this place knows they make you pay up front. This alone should be a red flag, but we were desperate, pandemic era and insurance all wonky. So, my daughter had some baby teeth and no adult teeth behind them. One required an implant. Well, day of the surgery at the last minute we find out there is no surgery. Now again anyone who knows anything knows these people hound you repeatedly via phone and email about appointments. Funny thing no one bothered to inform us this wasn't happening. I had paid upfront of course, it took several more phone calls from me and several more months to get my money back so I could pay for her surgery elsewhere. We never went back and we will not touch this placed with a 10 foot pole. They are still sending me bills for services never rendered and get this, they will not even talk to me because I am not the patient, but they sure want my money and to hit my insurance!!! This is poor customer care and poor patient care on all fronts. Oh and good luck trying to talk to another person, they want my money, but are rude as heck the second they realized this was for my daughter not me. Well then stop sending me the bills and sending collections after me if you refuse to talk to me!?! Oh they conveniently erased my approval too by the way hence not talking to me. read more

I'm a 60 year old disabled US Army Infantry veteran. Last night, I had so much pain in one of my wisdom teeth, I was unable to eat supper. I was also unable to sleep because of the throbbing pain. Around 3am, I got online to make an appointment to have the tooth extracted. Their website gave me an appointment for 8am. I showed up at 7:45am and noticed they have a huge sign at the front door that says "EMERGENCIES & WALK-INS OK". I spoke to the receptionist who told me that appointment was only for new patients. She told me there was an appointment available in almost 2 weeks on May 6th. I told her that I had so much pain that I was unable to sleep, and that I felt this was an emergency. Both receptionists told me that I couldn't be seen because I had been there before. I then asked if I was expected to suffer for two weeks before I could be seen? The younger one said " That's the earliest we can see you. Oh no, May 6th just got taken. I can make an appointment for you on May 7th". I was furious! I just turned around and left without saying a word. I told my wife what happened when I got home and she called and spoke to the office manager. The office manager let me come in at 2:30pm. I arrived and was seen by the dentist who gave me a prescription for an antibiotic and an appointment for the following week to extract the tooth. I asked for a quote for some other work and was told by some other lady how much my copay was for the molar extraction the following week. The lady then asked "Are you able to take care of this today?". Her tone was condescending, the same as the two receptionists. I began to wonder "Do I look like I can't afford 150 bucks?", "Do I communicate like something that they scraped off the bottom of their shoe at a cattle ranch?". I have 3 college degrees, to include a Master's degree, so I'm pretty sure I can articulate my thoughts clearly in American English... I do admit the X-ray tech was very kind and courteous. Oh wait there's more! 14 months ago, I came to this dentists office to have 2 other teeth removed. The dentist insisted I have a deep cleaning. I don't like deep cleanings because they hurt and make me feel like I went 7 rounds with Mike Tyson, for several days. Anyway, they sent the dental hygienist in to talk me into getting the deep cleaning. During the conversation, I mentioned that I prefer stiff bristle tooth brushes because they work better than soft bristle toothbrushes. I mentioned that I usually special order them but I was able to find them in a local Dollar Store. She went on a mild rant and boasted about ripping the stiff bristled toothbrushes off of shelves and throwing them on the floor whenever she sees them in stores! It was at that moment that I decided that I was not going to pay money to have a person with such disregard for other people's property, working inside my mouth. I cancelled that appointment. Unfortunately I already paid for the tooth extraction, so I will see them next week but it's time for me to find another dentists office. It's always good to know how the elderly and elderly veterans are treated by a business (she photocopied my drivers license which states that I'm a veteran), so if you're interested in pay huge sums of money to get shit on, this is the place to go! read more

Liked the dentist a lot but watch your bill. They added an electric toothbrush and I didn't notice till later. Toothpaste was crazy expensive and some kind of mouth wash that I need to have. Upsell was crazy the entire time, guess when you have insurance they are going to get everything. read more

I have spent the last 2 months calling Aspen Dental of Slidell, LA once a week to inquire regarding whether or not my husband's office visit has been processed through his dental insurance (we have already paid cash for his visit in April). Unfortunately, each time I have called, I have been told that there have been system updates/technological barriers that are preventing them from providing any further information. I was told during one call that they don't have my husband's last office visit in April on file- not sure how insurance can be processed without having a proper, accurate history of office visits in their medical records. I have requested to speak to the office manager, Candace, for the past 2 weeks now for further clarification without a call back. In summary, do not trust Aspen Dental of Slidell, LA to offer professional communication in regards to your inquiries or to handle the billing of your office visits correctly. read more

Well unlike the last two reviews, I had a wonderful experience at Aspen Dental. Being new to the area the last thing on my to-do list was find a dentist. Well today was that day. I woke up with severe tooth pain that was unresponsive to regular NSAIDS as it had been in the past. I reached out to a few dentists in my area to be seen. Even stating I have tooth pain. Not one has returned my request. Not one. A co-worker of mine referred me to Aspen Dental as she too had an emergent situation and they took her right in. So I called. My experience was nothing short of amazing. Jocelyn got me in right away. Her professionalism, caring nature and beautiful energy was so refreshing and welcoming! Everyone I met, from the front to the back Kayla, Nicki, Rebecca (girl I hope that's your name-you came back and got my SSN)Tracy and let's not forget Dr. Collin Miller were the nicest team of beautiful souls I've met in a long time. Their caring attitude made me feel comfortable and I never felt pressured to get any thing extra. I am the type of person who appreciates knowing all the services they provide. I may have come in for tooth pain but I left with a lot of information I at some point would be interested in down the road. Being in the Healthcare field, offering clients options they may not have otherwise even thought about is great client care. I'd rather be offered the Rolls Royce then downgrade my model from there. I appreciated my treatment plan. So...with that said, your experience is partly how you receive it. My experience was great and I would highly recommend them to anyone who asks. This place is absolute garbage. My wife had dental work done and payed literally thousands of dollars and and now it's a month later and still can't eat solid foods. After the procedure ulcers started showing up and bone shards are coming more. Much more than what should be. Hardly no communication was established and went days with no pain management. I would not recommend anybody coming here for pretty much nothing. This was the biggest waste of time and money I've ever dealt with and that place is just a joke. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the way the staff handled patients. The dentist was very nice and reasonable with treatment suggestions. All went well until I was informed by an employee that I would not be getting my teeth cleaned at the cleaning appointment that I made and I could make two more appointments for a gingivitis treatment that the dentist didn't mention in his detailed treatment suggestions before coming back a third time to have my teeth finally cleaned. Very frustrating to make an appt, get it confirmed, arrange child care, and drive 30 minutes only to find out that they wouldn't be doing a normal dental check up and cleaning. read more

aspen dental was my first choice on my dental plan to go to. the women employees are absolutely experienced and take very good care of your needs. my first dentist was dr. miller and there was an excellent dental hygenist tracy which these two have moved on. i now have dr. woo and mrs. tabatha as my dental hygenist which are both very good. i went there recently to get worked in because my new crown being so far back on my molar had fell out. well i was given a time which i arrived at least 30 minutes early. i was treated with care at the front desk and was called finally to the back. i could see how extremely busy they all were. then dr. woo i found out wouldn't be there a dr. b she said she preferred to be called cause she said she was from nigerwagra if i spelled it right her last name was hard to pronounce. i was trying to get comfortable in the chair cause she laid me back so far further than i have ever been in the dentist chair. then she preceded to work on my mouth. placing things inside to help her position the things she needed to dry out the tooth to glue the crown back on. after gluing my crown on mind you she proceeds to tell me the crown she put on that it had a cavity on that tooth and i would need a root canal. really you dr. b ..you tell me this after the fact. i asked too while i was in the chair why did you put the crown back on then if i need this ? i even while in the chair if she could look at my front took to see if i had a cavity ? well she spoke back " no " you have to make another appointment let the girls do that to set you up. well i was flabbergasted , hurt, mad, she was sooooo rude so unpleasant. look i worked out for almost 60 yrs of my life and if any of my bosses employees would have done what she did to me or was rude like she was would have been fired and if anyone else would want to hire them he would give a bad referral to work again. the other girls were sooo sweet she took an x ray of my tooth in question to show dr. woo cause she was off. having to have surgery in the next week having cancer infusion treatments having someone like this dr. b she prefers people call her. so now if i can go back before my surgery if i find out this dentist she calls herself is there i will not go back i will wait for dr. woo. having this experience i do know that they were busy, but also ; why say walk ins are welcome if they are busy and if more people get treated this way then if dr. b pulls this again on someone else with her bad attitude her really bad unpleasant personality aspen will loose business. why would they have someone at aspen who can't deal with the public like this is beside me. i walked out upset, crying, hurt, dissapointed when i came home i called my dental plan to send me more dentist offices i can go to other than aspen. people should be treated with care and compassion not with someone who thinks shes better or has a bad day or attitude that sucks and god she truly is an embarrassment to the dental profession. who would want this dr. b working on their teeth ? read more

I am so thankful to find this clinic. My experiences have always been awful with dentist until now. Aspen dental is the best! They were very kind and understanding with because I have frequent panic attacks. Everyone in the office was compassionate and love helping. My appointment with Dr. Colin Miller and his staff did not go well. I was treated as if I did not have insurance and was reminded of that throughout my visit. Upon arrival, the young lady who sat behind the desk asked abruptly as soon as i signed in, "Do you have insurance?" Looking surprised, I stated yes and added that I gave the information prior to my visit. Once I was in the dentist chair, a "sales lady" comes in and offers me an electric toothbrush, fluoride mouthwash and one more item. After being there an for an hour and NOT EVEN GETTING MY TEETH CLEAN, they take me to their billing office and wanted me to pay the bill before any more work was done (they only took x-rays). While in the billing office, they added a slew of charges and I had to painstakingly asked the young lady to remove the charges that were non-applicable. Being frustrated and upset, I ask while in the dentist office if I owed a bill, the young lady answered no and I left. After leaving, I call the office back to speak to Dr. Miller and voice my frustration and I asked to speak to his Supervisor. He was very passive with me and no one from Aspen Dental Corporate ever got in touch with me. Whats disappointing the most, is the dentist is a black male and so am I. He sat there and allowed a lot of this to happen. People in the Slidell, New Orleans avoid this office. read more
