When he retired to go on to be a professor at UT dental; I thought I would never have a dentist with the same level of dental acumen. Dr. Jason possesses at least the same level of dental excellence/skills/care. Dr. Jason has exceeded all my expectations. I am giving detail, because billing confrontations seem to be a common theme on the negative…read morereviews. Billing staff is confrontational and rude. I questioned an estimate that didn't align with my insurance benefits and they kept explaining to me why they were correct rather than having a conversation. After I requested it, they reluctantly agreed to a preauth. They were about $60 off and I was about $2 off from what the preauth came back as. They never contacted me with the information had to get it from Aetna. This didn't surprise me, as they made a whole production and were wrong. I sent a letter to the dentist asking if he wanted me to come back or not, because I did not want trouble at the office. What I received back was a noncommittal letter back that billing is hard and some other nonsense that didn't address the question. At this point I had no intention of going back. On august 8, I received the letter I had expected, terminating the relationship. They are required by law to send this, so it was totally fine. I actually already went to a different dentist. However it is worth sharing that the letter said, there were a couple of instances where I complained about my coverage and have complained about their fee. To be clear, I had only been once before, for a cleaning, which was mostly covered, outside of a few dollars. Also, I didn't think their fees were unreasonable, they were pretty normal for an out of network dentist. Finally, I don't know why on earth I would "complain about my coverage" to a provider? The provider has nothing to do with that. This simply didn't happen. Bottom line, they are angry about a negative review without wanting to take ownership of how and why it happened. The main thing for me, (and this is more for the business, because I know they read these,) is my review are the facts of my experience. If I am being untruthful, you have recourse, but I'm not, and we both know that. It is disappointing to have you try and pass accountability. I do have a couple of suggestions. If you are concerned with the quality of the reviews you receive, use them as an opportunity to improve. Alternatively, if it bothers you that much to have a customer describe their experience, turn off reviews. I would have been happy to remove it if someone would have called to have a discussion, but that isn't how you chose to handle it. Hope this review helps anyone who reads.

The dentist tells us both we need fillings redone and uses a camera to show us the spots on our teeth as "proof". I don't know know what I'm looking at, so of course I'm going to trust the expert. Absolutely nothing wrong with our teeth, no fillings need redone. If we did what the dentist suggested we would be out hundreds of dollars each and for no real reason but money-hungry "medical professionals." So I came across Dr. Ploch & asked different friends about him & said he does wonderful work with their cleaning & other dental procedures. So I decided to go with Dr. Ploch & experience this for myself. I was greeted by the receptionist upon walking in. She was very friendly & helpful as far as answering any questions I may have had from Insurance to clarifying anything on the forms I needed a bit more understanding on. The longest I had to wait was 20min compared to my last dentists & other doctors I see. So I'm taken back to one of the chairs for my cleaning. They settle me in making sure I'm comfortable. They then proceed to clean my teeth which wasn't bad. After it was done my mouth didn't feel sore like my last dentist. They were also informative about my teeth issues or not. This time I had a cavity issue and had to come in the next day for a filling. Dr. Ploch went to work on my cavity when I came in & the bottom of my teeth felt a whole lot better no more pain from my cavity. They would email me, text and call everyday to remind me of my appt. I asked them to just leave me one message. Susan, in her usual condescending tone, said I've put a note on your file to not contact you, I said one contact is fine not 15. She said "if you can remember" Fast forward. Was outta town. She called to ask if I was coming in. I said no, didn't know I had an appointment. No one ever called that one time. Susan was trying to make a point. That was my last interaction. I've found a new dentist. I told them it was so nice to deal with nice people.

I was a bit nervous, but decided to give it a go and am so glad I did! My tooth turned out fantastic, my husband often cannot even tell which tooth was corrected. His hygienists are great as well, very gentle with cleanings and also personable. Highly recommend this practice.
