I had a procedure done, that was $5,000. I was not told that my insurance would not cover this. This is a scam racket and a horrible business. Whatever they can do to keep you there and making as much money off of you as they can should be their mottor. My whole breakdown of what they thought I needed came to be around $18,000. Insurance handled a little of it, then they forced me to get with Care Credit that covered $5000.00, so I'm paying that every month, and then we're back to the procedure that they should not have done becuase my insurance would not pay it. Wanted my denture repaired. My expectations were: give them my dentures, pay to have them repaired, and be on my way. Instead, they informed me that they needed an X-ray, cleaning, and to wait for an estimate for new dentures. I don't see any mention of what I was there for in the first place--just left in the exam room for over an hour. Felt no choice but to walk out. I had an implant there. The oral surgeon performed the implant put it in crooked down a good tooth and cracked it so that the implant would work. The biggest mistake I ever made was going to Aspen Dental stay clear of this place. Nothing but a bunch of hacks. read more

I went just for the removal of my attachments, and i was told i needed a deep cleaning prior to that which costs $700. I found that too expensive and unreasonable. Attachment removal charges were just $80 after insurance which they were not ready to do without $700 deep cleaning. I was charged $100 for X Ray and never had the service i needed. read more

Do not go to Aspen Dental. I went there because my tooth broke and my old dentist stopped taking my insurance. Aspen would not fix my tooth until I had a deep cleaning, which even though i couldn't really afford it I went ahead and prepaid $1400 for a cleaning. I went for the cleaning in two appointments as I was told that my Insurance would not allow it in one appointment. 2 total hours of chair time. I then get a bill for $600+ dollars, of course I figure this is just problem with them splitting my appointments. Nope, my insurance denied the claim and underpaid. They didn't mention this to me when I went for the second cleaning appointment, which I would have canceled had I known they were going to charge me more for it. Almost $2200 for a tooth cleaning. We went to this dentist for a check up and we were outraged to receive a treatment plan for a deep cleaning and 3 cavities for almost $5,000 dollars! They said my portion would be $2,600 something after billing my insurance. I've received a scaling deep cleaning a few times at my previous dentists in Hawaii and California and I've also had cavities filled and I've never had a bill over a few hundred dollars after insurance is charged. Their finance lady tried to gaslight me, saying this is the normal price for these services but I know better. We will never again return to Aspen Dental. It should be illegal for them to jack up their prices to such astronomical numbers! It should cost no more than $500-1,000 for the scaling deep cleaning / cavities. I searched the standard price online for a deep cleaning and I was correct. This place is charge 1,000% above what they should be charging. I went there in March, 2022 (I think), at Stow for deep cleaning twice and my bill was a lot; had several x-rays repeatedly. Since I signed for it, I paid through the credit they had me signed which am paying still now. The second time I had my deep cleaning, I asked if there are teeth needed to be filled, the dentist said none. Then he recommended that I come back cause one tooth has to be the pulled. It was the right side, second tooth lower part. I was put on anesthesia, yet I felt the pain. I felt like the way my tooth was tooth was pulled was so abrupt and hard. I almost collapsed when I got up and first time I experience extraction that was bad. Weeks passed by, I did not heal. My gums swollen. I did not go back there because of that bad experience, and I sought a different dentist who took care of me well. I found out from the dentist that the pulling of my tooth was hard and abrupt that included bone. The splintered tiny bones were in my my gums that caused infection. The new good dentist had me took amoxicillin and after several days, I was referred to another place that does oral surgery to remove the splintered tiny bones in my gums. I am referred farther to University Hospital dental dept. for father treatment for messed up gum that the dentist at Aspen Dental Stow branch did. Others suggested suing the dentist and Aspen but I tell myself I give it to God to do justice for me. If my lawyer son is here in Ohio, I would sue. I advise anyone to please think before going to this place. They are pleasant but how does it do good to the patient, if the dentist will butcher your gum and tooth. Aside from the fact that this place charge you arm and a leg that cost less in other dental clinic. What a sad and hurting experience for me. Aspen is for generating more money for them. read more

They tried to tell me I needed other things that needed to be done and all I came for was for my chipped tooth. They gave me X-Rays that I didnt need. I was then told to get another appointment and couldnt get it done the same day and then toid me the compressors were not working not a good experience at all. BILLING IS A MESS! I received a bill in December 2019 for services related to December 2018. This was the first bill received. I called the Aspen Dental's office several times (the office is not open very often) and left a voicemail, expressing my concern with the delay in the billing and also detailing that the invoice did not match EOB details provided by my dental insurance company. I did not receive a call back. I did not receive a correctly invoice. What I did receive was a bill (still for the incorrect amount) from a collections agency. I filed a complaint with the BBB. Jane Catchpole of Sr. Manager, Regulatory Relations stated I would receive a call regarding the matter. One week later, Aspen Dental has not called, has not corrected the bill, but has sent yet again another collections notice. read more

Mixed bag here - while they did fit me in for emergency work when a tooth cracked, they tried to push unnecessary work with biannual cleaning. Pro - when a tooth cracked in half, they got me in for temp repair, found a great specialist (offsite, unaffiliated) to do root canal and then they did an ok job on a crown. Con- The crown is showing wear after only 3 years. I will prob need a replacement at 5. When I made a biannual cleaning appointment with them, stating I wanted just the free service paid for via my insurance, I arrived to find a $700+ bill waiting for me! I inquired if it was for the previous crown as that had been paid but was told no, the dentist had added invasive services to my cleaning. I replied I would not be getting those, just the preventative care cleaning covered by insurance at 100% They refused to do the cleaning unless I took and paid for in advance all of the extras. (Cutting gums, scaling, etc) I refused and walked out. Long waits in crowded room, really just a number to rotating, faceless dentists. I'll never go back or recommend. read more

I had my family dentist call for records because they had not emailed them after I signed off. We were told email address i provided was incorrect...it wasn't. Called last Tuesday for a copy of my invoices because my family dentist was in total disbelief that I was charged $135 for a toothbrush and wanted to review other charges. I had the girl on the phone repeat my email back to me. It's Friday and I still haven't received the information. I had a great experiences at Aspen Dental! I went in for a check up after a long time and was treated like a guest not a customer. The employees were very attentive to me and answered all my questions. Insurance covered everything which was great! Also the office is very clean and organized which I appreciated. I called Saturday because it looks infected and they told me to go somewhere else to get it looked at because they don't take walk ins on Saturday's . My uncle is a patient there who received dentures from this office. The dentures were temporary and not permanent but he prepaid for the permanent in their "package deal". When he asked for his money back or a partial credit because he was dying and wasn't going to live much longer they told him No! Correct me if I am wrong but don't their commercial state money back guarantee if you don't like your dentures! I spoke to the office manager regarding this and she gave me bogus ADA codes. This place is VERY money driven. I scheduled for a regular cleaning, had to wait for 45 minutes. The doctor talked to me for 2 minutes and asked me to do some deeper cleaning for about $150 (price after my insurance). Almost no one was patient in answering questions (especially the dentist) but convincing me to get some expensive treatment. I have my teeth evaluated and cleaned many times before. I am pretty sure I don't need the fancy cleaning they wanted. THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL PART; THEY REFUSED TO PROVIDE REGULAR CLEANING AND KIND OF FORCING YOU TO ACCEPT THEIR RECOMMENDED TREATMENT. Horrible!!! No one knows what they are doing. I bought my 90 yr old grandmother new dentures there. They talk a good game but they don't know how to fit dentures. The owner there is rude and pompous. We went back for refitting 4 times and they never did fix them. Each visit lasted 3-4 hours, which most of the time was spent waiting. On our last visit the owner said we were waisting his time and that he would refund the money. The whole experience caused my grandmother undue stress, waisted over 20 hrs of our time and gas money for the 6 trips we make up there. They said they would refund the money back on my credit card. VERY RUDE! My husband and I both went here. Completely dissatisfied with services. Tiffany the office manager has absolutely no customer service skills. The dentist acted incompetent. The hygienist needed to see me before my initial cleaning and told me I had to wait an hour because she was busy (enjoying her coffee). Can't stand this place.
