Allison did the most thorough cleaning and I got the anabiotic beads that I need and I really didn't have any pain with it. It was weirdly satisfying to have all those spots addressed. I came in with an infected tooth that I had another dentist say they could root canal, a dentist I trust immensely because they did all my previous work and who I would have gone to if I hadn't moved from several states away. The dentist disagreed and said the tooth would have to come out but they'd install a bridge so no big deal there at least. I get into the surgery, everything is fine in that regard and the doctor who put me under made sure I was fully informed on all aspects. Then some clown knocked off an existing permanent crown. They claimed they'd need to re-do the buildup and didn't want to in the same session because of the trauma to the area, but they didn't even do the short term solutions like denture glue (in a denture focused facility) they put that shit in a lil' baggie and told me they'd be able to see me to put it back in in two-weeks. So they think it's reasonable for me to go around with the exposed setting for two weeks. On top of all this they never seem to get the prescriptions right. We requested a nausea medication when I was on antibiotics, they never sent it even after calling them about it. They said they'd send a medicated rinse for my mouth along with my pain medication, they sent more antibiotics instead. read more

They need to improve on communication. They were short on staff and after I arrived they waited one hour and a half to tell me that they couldn't help me today. They charged me for x-rays that were not performed and couldn't refund my money on site. Corporate has to do that. read more

one year later i had to have them fix their work...they are charging me after giving them 3 insurance co. including VA at 100%. they sent the bill to collections...so, i stopped payment now and im having them banned in Portage County to start, every VA office in the State of Ohio will be notified, the Veterans will all be notified not to shop there, also Senior Services will notify their people to discourage senior citizens from going to them. read more

This Aspen dental is a brand-new building in Streetsboro. The building is beautiful and it's kept well maintenance and clean. The problem at this location is staff and scheduling. I made an appointment for my 98 year old mother. It takes us about 35 minutes to get there. They never called to tell us the technician called off. So we made another appointment for the next day at 8 am. The staff didn't arrive for the appointment until 8:15am. and again said the technician was not there could we come back yet again the next day. Staffing needs more training and to show up to work on time. This review is specific to the Streetsboro Aspen dental. read more

The work on my teeth was fine. They quoted me a price at the beginning of my work which included my insurance payments. After my work was completed they wanted me to cover what insurance did not cover. If I had known from the beginning what it would have cost I would not have had as much work done at one time. Instead of the office going after the insurance to cover the cost of the agreed upon amount it costs me almost $1000 more. The office told me I had go after the insurance myself. read more

I went to the Macedonia one and felt like I was dealing with car salesman approach to things. What a Scam. Did X-rays, insist I need scaling, which will cost over 2 thousand dollars for me. They recommended the same for my wife, another 2 grand. Also said we would get a toothbrush after the scaling. we took home the itemized quote- they were going to charge us 135 buck each for electric toothbrushes that I told them we had. Well we can't afford all of that and just wanted a regular cleaning. I called to at least try to get that done, and they won't do it. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and hung up on me. I should be able to get a cleaning and I Should be able to refuse a 2 thousand dollar scaling. My insurance should cover a basic cleaning. oh and when we went they said the X-rays and first visit was free- But we each got nice bills for their fancy X-rays. I Went in with bad pain in my right wisdom tooth. They recommended me take all of my wisdom teeth out + my 2 too molars. After having my first surgery ever in my life as a 26 year old I can say this was the worst experience of my life due to the lack of care in this place. Had 2 dental assistants talking trash right behind me about other people and using profanity. I left with nerve damage my my tongue and was told every thing went fine right after surgery and then to be told that they didn't tell me everything and lied to me and just didn't care at all. I can see it and hear it in there voice that they simply did not care at all about my pain. Or what would happen to me and how this is affecting my everyday life. Worst experienc! Took my 93 year old mom. she needed dentures. They were supposed to call with recommendation and never did. Called 3x's and someone was supposed to call me back but never did. Called the Regional # listed if you had a complaint. I explained the situation and she said she'd check into it and still never heard back. Wouldn't recommend. read more

I had my wisdom teeth extracted at the Aspen Dental in Akron 2 months ago. The oral surgeon there, who did my extraction moved away without informing me. I never got to have a follow up with him. I'm having post-operative complications and there is another oral surgeon in Streetsboro who could help, but because I would technically be a new patient to him, they would have to charge me $137 as a professional console fee, whereas if my original surgeon wouldn't have moved, it would be free to see him as a re-evaluation. All of this was explained to me by the manager at Streetsboro Aspen dental. I told her it's unfair for me to have to pay that fee based on my circumstances, I did not chose to see a new surgeon, mine moved away and left me in the dark. She understood my frustration but offered nothing more than an apology. I've gone to multiple appointments with multiple dentists over this same area that is causing me pain, each dentist has not wanted to touch the area and has referred me to other people and have passed me around to multiple appointments (that I left work and income for) only for nothing to be done in the end unless I pay a fee that I should not have to pay. I told her I'd rather try to cut my gum open myself and remove what's bothering me myself at this point. That idea did not seem to bother her. All she had to offer was an apology. They would rather let a patient potentially harm themselves or just suffer over what would be a very small amount of money to them, money that would be unfairly charged in the first place. Again, it was explained to me that being seen by my original surgeon would be free, as a re-evaluation had my surgeon not moved, but because he moved and left me to have to find a new guy, I will have to be charged as a new patient with the new guy. Combine that with the amount of appointments I've left work for and lost money for, this is wrong and this is offensive. This is a very poor practice. read more
