I have dental insurance. Aspen told me the amount that insurance would pay and my part to pay. I paid my part (about $3500), and then I'm sent a $2900 bill that insurance won't pay because the work wasn't approved after I was told that it was. I don't have another $2900 and am stressing out. I will not use Aspen anymore because I can't trust them. I seriously thinking about seeking legal advice because the dentist or assistant cut my gums, and my mouth was sore for a month. I could not eat solid food for a month, and had a knot on my jaw and swollen up. Also, the doctor left a training assistant fit a temporary bridge. I went in for dental implants in Tullahoma and paid in full. I thought everything was fine. Then I even received a check back for over payment and they still sent me a bill for almost 3,000. I called and talked to them and believed it was all worked out only to months later receive a letter from a collection agency! Horrible people are o do that to me without even speaking to me first after I believed we were in good standings. No one should be treated like that. Especially after paying them almost 5,000 and them billing insurance things I had paid in full and should have never been billed to them. Insurance fraud at its best! read more

Wife had lower dentures made there following several teeth being extracted. When they put them in they didn't fit. (Fitting was included in the cost.) Advice was to suffer through it until the swelling went down from the extraction. After the swelling went down they still didn't fit. We came back for an adjustment, they spent 10 minutes with us and they still didn't fit. They told her to wear them for a while until her gums adjusted. We took them to another dentist who charged us $300 to do all the fittings, a total of three. She could wear them after the first adjustment, the other two were for fine tuning. She wears them just fine now. Avoid like the plague is my opinion. This is one of those places where most of their expenses go to promoting their brand and selling services, and dentists come to pay their dues before moving on to a proper job. read more

Tried to schedule a cleaning for my daughter had a terrible time with an office staff member. She couldn't even pull up her account correctly. I was highly annoyed when they told me that because my daughter was 17 I had to be there for a checkup cleaning even though we had been there before. She became incredibly defensive and refused to speak to me so I gave my husband the phone. She was refusing to speak to him as well and he was calm. Turns out the policy is that parents don't have to be there for a routine cleaning. But because of how we were treated they lost my entire family's business. read more

Went in for tooth pain and was told I had to have my wisdom tooth surgically removed. Was not giving anything for pain not even antibiotics. I had to call back and she the receptionist said she would talk with the dentist needless to say I never got a call back. I had to call back a week later when I was in so much pain I was crying to speak with the dentist then she was hesitant to help she called back a hour later after speaking with her and called me in some meds. They wanted me to pay half my dental work price for all my services I would need done in the future ( I am insured) and wait until October 10th to have tooth pulled. I suppose to be in pain for 3 weeks . I will never recommend or come back to this office. Waisted time and they are very unprofessional. read more

I picked this location as there were no other dentists in the Tullahoma/Winchester area that had any openings. I went in for a checkup and they came back with the results that I had severe gingivitis that needed some special treatment, yet, I had no cavities. I was a little suspicious of their findings since I brush, floss and take good care of my teeth and as the x-rays indicated, not one cavity. At no time did they provide a written statement as to what the charges would be. I should have asked, so shame on me. I finally sent a letter requesting the breakdown of the dental service charges. I received the breakdown which didn't provide all of the charges and on top of that, they now claim I owe them another $125 in addition to the $200 copay I had already paid. In all my years of going to dentists for routine exams including x-rays and getting my teeth cleaned, I have never had to pay a co-pay. The dentist accepts the assignment of benefits and typically the patient has no other balance owed. Not here at Aspen Dental. Avoid this place if you can. Their methodology and the way they provide you with their findings and how they will charge you are suspect at best. I think a letter to the state Attorney General's office might be my next action step. read more

I tried to get taken care of at this office. The oral surgery part was supposed to get done at the Murfreesboro office because the surgeon doesn't come here. Instead I was sent a list of every office in east Tennessee. Every time I try to call I get put on hold forever, often hearing them pick up and put the phone back down. I tried emailing TWICE to try to find out what happened to going to the Murfreesboro office. NO RESPONSE!!!!! They don't care about their patients, or potential patients, even when they'll be making a lot of money off of them. I'll be going elsewhere. Thank you very much for nothing. read more

So this has been the worst experience of my life. So I picked them thinking this would be a good place to go but I was wrong. I paid these people over 2000 dollars for a dental plan that has been somehow overpaid 220 dollars because the math was messed up multiple times. The actual oral surgery was ok but I had went in today for an extraction, scaling and a filling which the filling is not finished as the tooth still has a chip in it. These people didn't even offer me a Tylenol because apparently the dentist can feel your pain for you and I was told since the tooth was loose there shouldn't be pain so later the pain increased to which I called them and Katrina at the office said she would return our call but apparently they closed the office instead. So we called and got the emergency number three separate times to which we finally got a call back from the answering service cause the dr couldn't bother to do so. He claimed he had spoke to the dr and they suggested Tylenol and ibuprofen now they don't read records because I have had the gastric and cannot take nsaids and Tylenol hasn't helped so yeah that's my day. To me it is evident that they don't care about their patients only the 2000 dollars we paid them. UPDATE: as of 5/22/2019 I indeed did get a call from management kaylie or katylin I believe her name was and of course it was alleged that we were the reason there was a confusion with medications which indeed I cannot take extended release Tylenol and they were told that so Therefore we were confusing what I could take then it was further alleged that I never disclosed verbally or written of my medical bypass which is a blatant lie and even when they "supposedly" had discovered the absorption issue they again also wrote a prescription indeed for tablets of hydrocodone acetaminophen instead of liquid even though we informed several people of the tablet absorption issue that liquid was needed it was almost like they were not listening but the simple truth is they didn't care. I have not changed my view I feel as if they heard what they wanted to hear and any absorption issues were my own. At this point I was tired of the whole issue and in pain enough to take the tablets but I will not be returning here. I would like a establishment who actually cares for ur needs as a patient and not passing the buck or clearly not hearing of your medical issues and needs. The lady who called was rude and short and didn't care about anything but stating they were indeed offering me something now the next day being said now and literally Making sure it was stated that it was through no fault of their own because an establishment can not possibly be responsible for their services and subsequent actions apparently. I have since done more research and found there are many people who have had a similar experience to mine and if I had read the consumer affairs report regarding them I would not have went here. On another note they only mentioned the Tylenol and the records in this phone call and I'm sure it was because having to fix the filling would have meant a cost to them instead of the consumer. read more

I suggest going other places than here. Will save you $$$$. I went in for my wisdom tooth, they didn't care about how I felt. It had been giving me a lot of pain, they gave me nothing for it just sent me home because they wanted over $2500 for the tooth to be pulled, a crown (which in all honesty needed pulled) and other not necessary treatments! I have switched dentists, which the dentist I seen yesterday had NO problem pulling my wisdom tooth. It was also $77?... The office manager at Aspen said they wanted to do the scaling and such BEFORE they pulled my tooth..(cmon now) which is more money for them. Some of the staff is rude, some aren't. But if you need work done, go somewhere else. I wouldn't recommended Aspen to ANYONE needing dental work, even my worst enemy. read more

I scheduled an appointment for myself and both of my daughters. The day of we were there for over 3 hours. My appointment was to fix a chipped tooth, my daughter's were both for a general cleaning. They checked my teeth and said I had one small cavity. One of my daughters had 4 small cavities. Even with insurance it cost me $600 which I had to pay in advance. Nothing was done for me on that day except to schedule another appointment for the fix. We scheduled the fillings and the fixing of the chipped tooth. The week of I was called to change my time and canceled my daughter entirely. I went in, they fixed my tooth but did not complete the filling. I had to schedule a third appointment. I received two confirmation emails for my daughter for two different times. I called to make sure the appointment set were correct to find out they moved her again without my knowledge and never booked mine. They put me in and yet again the week of, they called to cancel my daughter. They tried to say I also owed money! This company is ridiculous and I will never refer anyone to go there and once the fillings have been taken care of since I have already paid we will NEVER BE BACK! read more

i am so impressed with my dental hygienist and she is the best one i have ever had. i really look forward to my appointments and she and the whole staff if very thorough, and they really care. they will give you the very best service possible. they really take care of you and the environment is what i like as well. i feel very comfortable with them!!!! read more
