We have recently moved to the area and my 13 yo son was worried about finding a good barber. We found a place on the mall but my son changed his mind the last minute. Soooooo he looked on google again and found this barbershop. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and instructed to have a seat. We were greeted with smiles and nods and I immediately sighed with a sense of relief. We have been twice now and have had 2 different barbers and my son was pleased both times. Been going here since I was a kid. Recently in the past year Tam has been making people get appointments because of Covid. There's been 4 times that I make an appointment and he tells me there's someone ahead of me while I'm on time. Today he did it again. I told him, I'll still get a cut but this will be the last time I come to him because of this. HE THEN REFUSED TO GIVE ME A CUT. Petty petty petty. I walked away and went elsewhere. Take your business elsewhere unless it's the lady who cuts at the end. She's so nice to everyone. read more

Open as of June 19, 2020 and abiding by Montgomery County Phase 2 COVID-19 regulations. Support Tam and our small businesses! Appointments only. I FINALLY got a haircut after 3+ months and couldn't be happier with the experience. 4-year customer and Tam and the team give quality haircuts at affordable prices. Pro tip: I taped a mask on my face with medical tape so the barber could cut the sides of my hair when I removed the ear loops. - Appointments only, call the shop (301-871-2663) or Tam's mobile (301-928-9640). - They take a max of 4 appointments at a time following MoCo phase 2 guidelines. - All barbers are BARBICIDE COVID-19 certified. - All barbers wear masks and gloves and makeshift partitions separate the 4 available chairs spaced over 6 feet apart. - You must wear a mask inside. Tip: use medical tape, scotch tape, or cut pieces of packing tape to keep the mask on your face so the barbers can better cut the sides of your hair. - All barbers disinfect and wipe the barber chairs before and after each appointment. They disinfect and clean their clippers, scissors, combs, etc. before and after each appointment as well. I waited a few minutes while Tam did this in front of me. It was much appreciated. - They also use freshly laundered haircut bibs for every appointment. - The barbers immediately give you hand sanitizer when you walk in. - You have the option to wait outside or inside if you get there early for your appointment or have to wait for an earlier one to finish. This barber shop is located in the same shopping center as Michael's & Rite-Aid. It's small & not overwhelmingly busy. It's always a gamble when going to a barber you've never been to before. Although they were friendly, they could use a little work on their attention to detail. Their fade game was all shaved to one length and the cut I got was uneven. I think they focus on getting the customer in & out rather than the quality of a haircut. They skipped the lower neck shave, and didn't use any talcum powder or aftershave after finishing. They were missing a couple of steps that are standard for barber shops, but like I said, they were friendly enough but I wasn't so satisfied with the cut and overall experience. Would not recommend- I went this weekend to get a low fade and a part but came out with numerous cuts and uneven lines. The hygiene of this place is also subpar. read more

Yay! I'm a fan - 4 stars WITH A CAVEAT. WAIT for Tam, the owner! He has consistently provided excellent haircuts at reasonable prices, especially with the Senior Citizen discount! I HAVE gotten great haircuts from one or two of the other barbers, but horrible haircuts from one or two of the others and I never took names, so I don't know to whom to return so I always wait for Tam. read more

They are cheap but using the fixed blade razor (not disposable!) for shaving neck. When I asked manager how they disinfect their blades he started to murmur me some nonsense. Like go sue me.. I didn't intent to sue him it wasn't purpose of my question. I just asked what procedure they use to disinfect these blades. I hope now it is proper and I have nothing to worry about but I am he didn't tell me nothing. So I won't go there again. read more

Good shop! -And contrary to the previous review they DO accept credit cards here. I'm sure they prefer cash so they don't have to pay the credit card co's swipe fees, but they will gladly take them if you want them to. I've been charging haircuts on Visa here on Visa for quite a while. They also offer a senior discount for oldsters. I Highly recommend one of their barbers named Kay K. He does a great job and is able to follow directions without any problems. He's off Monday and Tuesdays. read more

A traditional barber shop with good haircuts at fair prices. Cash only. Discounts for military, police, fire. The straight razors are sanitized in the dunk tank and the neck shaves are great, with hot cream and talcum powder. Plenty of barbers available so waiting is never an issue for me as I tend to go around 1030 or 1400. I once even had a shave and it was fantastic. The facial shaves are performed with a one-time use triple blade disposable. I've been coming here since the 80's. Tam has owned it for quite a long time and runs a friendly, clean, and efficient shop. read more
