This place obviously changed hands recently. 3:45pm on a Thursday. I waited for about 15 minutes for my choice of one of two Japanese women. The woman that cut my hair said "OK. No problem. OK. Yes. $15" She did a reasonable job and pretty nearly what I asked for. I don't generally like to chit-chat with my haircutter, but I was looking for a LITTLE dialog. My first visit, the cut was pretty fresh. The barber paid special attention to the little details in the hairstyle I was going for. My visits after? Not so much. Even though they don't use a straight blade, I still like the fact that they use a balder/shaver in finishing up their fade work. First off...I used to just go to Hair Cuttery, but I moved to the Rock Creek area and had to find a new place. As you can tell, I'm probably not too picky. This a family run place. It looks like a mother, father, and their son working every time I go in. They're freindly, but not overly so...which I kind of like. There's nothing worse that getting your hair cut by someone who chats your ear off or shows you pictures of their grandkids the whole time. All in all, I'm happy so far. I'm two cuts in, and they both turned out fine. A men's cut was $15...no credit cards accepted though...so bring cash. read more

This is a excellent little barber shop that I have been using for over a year. I really like how they are Not mainstream and they don't rush you out like most hair-cut franchises. The barbers are all pretty good for the most part. I prefer the middle aged korean lady and the son in this family run business. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because they do not accept cash which is not too much of a hassle because there is a Capital One bank next door and they do not wash or shampoo your hair after the cut. Overall, I highly recommend getting your hair cut here. They style fairly well and will make sure you get a fresh new look. Come early on the weekends cause there will be a wait, bring cash and take a shower right afterwards when you get home! read more

I've been getting my haircut here for a few years and I've never been disappointed. They are always quick and seem to have a friendly rapport with all of their customers. The wait can get a little long during the peak times (weekends, after work hours, etc.) but it's never usually a problem if you get there early enough. read more
