I even stopped by the downtown location twice to find no one there. But then I went out on their Facebook page (wondering if they had shut down) and found they were boasting of their current 3 spec houses. Uh, what happened to starting my remodel on March 1? We are not novices since over the years we have remodeled several homes (our own and for business), have built a new home, and have remodeled commercial property. As a result, we have plenty of stories to tell with regard to budgets, quality of work, etc. and were a little apprehensive about an out of State remodel project. Well, forget all that. Our Skywalker project manager, Luby, was fantastic. He was responsive to questions, kept us updated on progress by email and with photos, kept us within budget, and on schedule. The quality of the work was top notch. In addition, the documentation provided with invoices was complete and accurate. Their system for managing projects is very professional and the best I have ever seen for a residential job. They put other contractors I have used to shame. (This is a true story.) I have and will recommend Skywalker to anyone needing to remodel a property or for new construction. I would also add that the company has remodeled a number of commercial properties (restaurants) in town and their quality of work in that area is also very good, and they have a good reputation in the community.

Although we had a week of bad weather, they started as soon as they could and hit it hard. The whole project was completed in less than a week. His work is outstanding and the finishes beautiful. He is a true craftsman. He also did most of the interior painting, and all the exterior painting of my home. I asked them to be careful driving around the back of our property because we have sprinkler heads, and they went above and beyond. They walked the entire area first, and while one drove the truck, the other walked alongside to make sure they didn't drive over any of our sprinklers. That level of care and attention really impressed us. They were professional, courteous, and left everything clean when they finished. Good communication for scheduling appt's and service tech arrivals at the job. Really bad at follow…read morethrough and fixing the problem. I had 2 heating zones in my home that were not heating. I met with James and he made it sound like an easy fix. Service techs (not James) showed up on time a couple days later and were very nice and respectful. They replaced 2 zone valves. One zone worked immediately. They could not get the other one to work. They told me to leave it on overnight and see if it would start up but it didn't. I called the office the next day and explained to the girl that it was still not working. She said she would talk to James and call me back that same day. I never heard from them again. Nothing! Also, when I called for the original appt. I asked the girl how they charged for service and she told me they charged $100 for the diagnosis but they would apply it to the charges if they did the work. They did not. They charged me $300 for two zone valve installations and added $100 on top of that. $400 total. Very expensive for 2 zone valves. I definitely would not recommend them!
