The office staff was all confused because I was a prior patient but when you sign up on line it put me in as new. I had X-rays and saw the doctor. He wanted me to have two implants and he wanted to pull my remaining five teeth and give me a full bottom plate. I met with the financial person and she printed out a $20,000 statement. I asked her print it because I used to run a patient billing department. She said my dental wouldn't pay because it had been just under five years. I called my dental company myself and they asked for a statement from the doctor explaining what needed to be done. I called Aspen back. This was in January 2025. They never sent anything to Delta Dental. Today a get a bill for X-rays but I don't see where it went to DD. So I call and Zach puts me on hold then comes back asks me questions then said the system had wrong information and he was going to send it. They lie to people, try and get you to finance services through them. When I went in there were a bunch of people that spoke English as a second language. They were probably being taken advantage of. Because I knew enough to ask questions and refused to finance they did not do what they were supposed to do. They need to be put out of office.

Later, I receive another bill for an additional $640. If you have plenty of MONEY, then you should go here. Also the root canal took forever and he seemed to be struggling and sweating and breathing hard. If you are still reading.... He reviewed my kids future needs and shared the X-rays. We discussed a plan and what our local clinic could do to help. He went above and beyond to carr for my kid and she didn't have the pain she had with other places. The office is clean, staff is nice and receptionist is the perfect person to great clients. Her voice and interactions were polite, nice and warm. Way better than most places. Dental care costs! But walking into a place where reception is cold and rude... I never provide services to. Dr. Barnhurst was thorough in his explanation of the need for my root canal, and he happily answered my many questions about the procedure. I have had 5 gum surgeries in the past, so I was shocked to discover that a root canal could be so pain-free. Dr. Barnhurst and his assistant are to thank for that. He is very gentle and provides enough anesthesia ensuring that it's a comfortable procedure, which is was. Finally, what a novel idea to provide noise-cancelling earphones and an ipod with classical music. Brilliant! It did make the time go by faster, for sure, and I didn't have to listen to them talk about drilling into my teeth. : ) I have been pain-free for nine-hours now with the help of ibuprofin. Recently switched to a dentist in Avon and have yet to have any of the above issues. Last time I called to ask the lady at vail dentistry said "oh that's because insurance companies pay 1970 rates, and we aren't accepting any insurance companies", even though they gladly took the portion from mine.
