We searched high and low around the Treasure Valley for a facility my parents could call home. I can't say enough positive things about this facility. The staff is A-MA-ZING! Keri, the director, Jessica, the assistant director, Rochelle the nurse, O.G the chef, and Michelle the activities director; along with the rest of the care givers, have made this difficult transition a positive experience. The facility is beautiful! It looks like Joanna Gaines designed it herself. The food is soooo good. Even my little boys love to visit their grandparents! Children are welcomed and encouraged to visit. There's a 24 hr ice cream parlor. The memory care suites look exactly like assisted living, and every room is private! The staff treat us like family! Where do you start in making these life changing decisions? We were recommended to Overland Court by an Attorney familiar with these facilities. Once we visited the facility and met with the staff, many of our concerns were eliminated. They were very accommodating in providing both assistance and guidance in making this move. They allowed us to select an apartment and held it until we could make arrangements. My Mother lived at the facility for nine months, until her passing. She was always treated with kindness and care. She meet many people and quickly became an active member of their little community. The meals are excellent. The medical staff is very reliable. Her personal care was outstanding from the shower girls to the cleaning ladies. She loved them all. She was especially fond of Jim, the Executive Director. He always took time to check on her and would listen to any of her concerns. The activities provided for the residents are outstanding. Plenty of interactive group opportunities, lots of music and entertainment, many offsite outings. From Friday evening "Happy Hour" to a full range of Sunday Services there was always a feeling of family and fun. If there were any issues or questions regarding her care I was always given a call to update and inform me. I lived close by and would often just drop in. I was always pleased. The staff always kept me updated on my Mothers evolving situation. She really enjoyed the staff. I would confidently refer anyone to utilize this facility. However, the last year was awful. The owner did not support his administration at the time, valued employees left, and morale was low and employees underpaid. No group activities for the residents and employees overwhelmed and overworked. Violations of state codes have been occurring and two have recently been substantiated. A five year loyal employee (longest standing employee) was recently fired. This after she stayed with the facility through bouts of cancer, two years of CoVid, 16 hour days and 6 day work weeks because she finally had to give her two weeks notice to take care of her own health. After my mother's death, I never received a verbal or written condolence from the current administrator or owner. Do not put your family member in this facility.

We toured eight different facilities in Boise and the Garden Plaza of Valley View was by far their favorite. We actually didn't have an appointment and just stopped in to see if we might be able to talk to someone - Pam welcomed us with open arms and gave us a very thorough tour. They joined the waiting list, and moved in a few months later when a space opened up. At this point it has only been a few weeks since their move, but they are extremely happy and we've noticed a difference in their health already, especially with Mom. Her speech and walking have both improved, and we credit the Garden Plaza with that. She has 3 regular meals a day, social interaction, walks more, and she doesn't have the pressures that came with owning and caring for a full-sized home. My folks tell us every day how nice everyone is, from the staff to the residents. They wish they had made the move years ago and say everyone they talk to says the same thing. (Better late than never!) I liken it to living on a land-based cruise ship - all their meals and utilities are included, their unit is cleaned weekly (including towels and linens), there are tons of activities, there's transportation to get them around town, and everything is bundled under one price so they don't have to keep track of a ton of bills (or even this one - they're set up on auto-pay)! It's so nice that my teenage daughter wanted to move there after getting a tour. To say it's been life-changing is an understatement. My parents are thrilled, my siblings and I are thrilled, and a huge load has been lifted from all of us. Since I don't live in Boise, it's an enormous comfort to know they're happy and that people are checking in on them daily. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Pam Dillman and all the wonderful staff and residents at the Garden Plaza of Valley View! (Oh, and there's an AMAZING bakery in the lobby - try the blueberry lemon cake.)

I also took care of my sweet Aunt until her Dementia became debilitating. Both my father and my aunt went to two separate places in California for their Care. I was so unimpressed and had to actually move my Aunt to another place. Neither of the facilities had an RN on staff or PT. Garden Plaza of Valley View has BOTH! Every time I visit, they are doing something Special for their residents. They even built a Bakery so that the residents can visit and have a sweet treat. If you are considering special care for a loved one, take a tour with Melanie. She is personable and understands how important this transition is for everyone in the family. The Company is locally owned, I believe this makes a difference.

When my grandmother came down with pneumonia and was required to breathe via a large amount of oxygen, she was unable to immediately go home from the hospital. She required a rehabilitation center to help strengthen her lungs and reduce her oxygen tank needs. I have never seen her like this! She gets up, does her exercises, is cheered on by the nurses and is genuinely enjoying making new friends at Life Care-- I don't think the ice cream parlor hurts either!

During the years she lived at this assisted living facility, she received loving and compassionate care from the staff. Her caregivers were all excellent as well as the the chef, maintenance man, hair stylist and director, Wendy. I consider those staff members who have stayed in board and worked tirelessly with the residents at Paramount to keep them happy and well during the challenging times of the Covid pandemic super heroes. I also so appreciated how kind the staff members were to me and other family members who would stop in to visit grandma. I really think Paramount Parks is one of the best assisted living facilities in Idaho. It's clean, beautifully decorated and in a wonderful location as well. My grandma had nurses from Signature Hospice care for her the last year of her life. Two of those nurses told me that they think Paramount Parks is one of the best facilities in the valley and that really meant a lot since they see patients who reside in many different facilities.

For the most part they were Pretty awesome) then she needed assisted-living until she could get strong enough to go home. It was very important for the siblings to easily visit her, so location was a high priority. After a lot of research and high recommendations we chose Paramount Parks in Eagle. We could not be happier!! This is due, in large part, to Jennifer Hoffman who does a fantastic job helping to run Paramount. She has been exemplary in all her actions and has gone above and beyond all of our hopeful expectations. She helped to make the transition painless, simple and actually kind of fun for Mom. Jenn sets the precedents for the rest of her staff. They are attentive, kind, and on top of the needs of their "family" at Paramount. Mom says she loves the food & having choices (it's not my favorite place to eat but I'm a spoiled foodie, and since she's the one eating there, we are both happy! ) They have the usual activities that most of the nicer places have. But also stand out in other areas, like having a Memory Care Center on site. It is totally separate and very secure. So Nice to know, if ever needed, it would be an easy transition. Mom and the family have been very happy with Paramount Parks. We feel so much gratitude and appreciation towards Paramount Parks. Highly recommend it.

Nurses are kind here but there has been no accountability for the injury they cause to my…read moregrandmother who was in after having a broken hip fixed. She was ran into a wall by a nurse (complete accident) and her leg hit the wall and long story short, they broke her leg in a different location. They did not inform anyone of what happened and still have not. We wouldn't have known if my grandma hadn't said anything. No one is taking accountability and trying to place blame everywhere else. Very disappointing. The facility and staff seem very kind and considerate however every time I have gone in. The facility is clean. I really wish this accident didn't happen otherwise I'd have a much different review.
