I guess I didn't realize that they had to turn it "on" and then they do, it's this loud machine that runs. Overall, shockingly poor experience. I expected much more from what I thought would be a high-end spa. We spent the entire day here and booked both the salt room and a couples massage. The spa claims that "Aspira Spa is a favorite spot for those seeking a peaceful escape and true relaxation," offering "tranquil spaces like a salt room, whirlpools, and a Meditation Sanctuary designed for deep relaxation," but that was not our experience. In their pre-visit email, they ask guests to "please respect the peaceful atmosphere of the spa with quiet conversation." Unfortunately, this expectation is not enforced. The environment was consistently loud. While I understand that guest behavior can be difficult to control, it starts with the staff setting the tone. I wish there had been more effort to establish and maintain a respectful, quiet atmosphere. The staff were kind, but they contributed to the noise level. Voice levels user during tours were loud and disruptive. While the tour itself was helpful, there are more considerate ways to conduct them without disturbing those trying to relax. I had previously read a review from Debbie G stating that the spa was going downhill, and I wish I had listened to it before booking. We will not be returning. read more

Every time I come to Aspira, I get more and more disappointed. No more cucumber water. Now just a little granola bite for a snack. What happened to the snack dispensers? No sugar for the tea. The outdoor hot tub still has the worst jets, no pressure at all. The staff did not want to give me the sandals they offer for your stay because I had flip flops on. Really?! I said I'd like to use their sandals. Geez. They have a new menu finally but based on my previous experiences I did not order anything. I have heard from many guests that the spa services are great. Amazing spa in Elkhart Lake. They even offer private yoga classes sometimes, which ... what kind of spa does that?! This place does. I booked a Swedish massage, and was very happy with it. But I think what I loved even better was the extra things you get when you book a service: access to the fully stocked locker room so I could take a rain shower before my massage. The steam room. The lounge area with complimentary snacks and beverages. The pool area with lounge chairs and hot tubs. There's also a cafe here, and you can order food to enjoy poolside or at the cafe. You could spend a whole day here just lounging and relaxing and taking care of yourself. My best, most favorite experience at Aspira Spa was relaxing in the Himalayan salt cave room for some halotherapy. This is a beautiful, well-lit room full of Himalayan salt, where you can sit (or in my case, lie down) and relax, breathe, and meditate. It was a transformative experience. I don't usually get comfortable enough to fall asleep in random places, but I was so relaxed and comfortable at Aspira's salt cave that I slept for most of my visit. When I left, I had a slight coating of salt on my glasses. They tell you not to bring electronic devices into the salt cave for this reason. There really are salt particles floating around in the air! Which is great for your respiratory system, but it's not so great for electronics (or glasses). Everyone who I encountered at Aspira was kind and helpful. The facility is clean and peaceful. This is a great place to de-stress and find some relaxation in Elkhart Lake. read more

Our much-anticipated weekend getaway at the Osthoff Resort, frankly, fell far short f what we'd expected, and certainly wasn't worth the nearly $1300 price. Our reservations at Aspira Spa were frustratingly jumbled. I arranged for my wife to have a pedicure at 6pm Friday, and for the two of us to enjoy a couple's massage at 10:00 Saturday morning. We found with only **four minutes** advance notice that our couple's massage had been moved to 6pm Friday because of a staffing issue. Candidly, we were caught unprepared, felt rushed, and were anything but relaxed. To be clear, I would not have scheduled a massage for 6pm, as the spa closes at 7pm on Friday, leaving no time afterward to enjoy any of Aspira's other amenities. Given the cost of the exorbitant cost of the couples massage -- $486 including the required 20% gratuity -- I feel we were short-changed. I tried to book the "Reflexology Pedicure" advertised on the spa's website for my wife, but was told that specific service is presently unavailable because the spa has no staff trained to provide it. I was told aestheticians are presently in training, and that the reflexology pedicure will be available at our next visit. Aside from the ludicrous presumption that there will ever be another visit, I find it overtly deceptive for the spa to advertise a service it is unable to provide. Also, the sauna in our building was inoperative, and a staff member told us it has been out of service for weeks! Similarly, the pool heater appeared to be out, as the water was ice cold and too uncomfortable for swimming. Don't get me wrong; we had a generally pleasant time, however, given the roughly $1,300 cost of our weekend at the Osthoff, I would have expected a more flawless experience - especially from what is billed as the "Best Spa in Wisconsin." read more

Overall this spa is ok. My massage was a 2/10, would not recommend but everyone was really nice. It was the lightest touch massage I've ever had and a waste of time. Never once was I asked if the pressure was ok. They said it was light to medium...but I don't think they ever even pushed down, it was just light rubbing like I was being pet or something. That said, the facilities were nice. The people working there were friendly and kept making sure everything was clean and refilled with the exception of the icy towels by the sauna. The food at the spa cafe was good, very basic but fresh and delicious. When we were done at the spa we walked the resort. It's a maze. The Elk bartenders were sarcastic which isn't my favorite communication style but some people like that. The Concourse restaurant looked nice but only serves appetizers from 4-5 but opens at 4? Seems silly and didn't see that on the website but maybe I missed it? So we left the property to eat. read more

I can't explain how awesome this place is. First of all staff was so friendly! The facility is super clean and I did not feel rushed whatsoever. I came to this resort spa for a spa service and the massage was excellent. I ended up arriving early and staying late after my massage to enjoy the facilities Which included indoor outdoor Jacuzzi spas, sauna, showers, meditation room and yoga! I even ended up eating lunch here which was a delicious salmon lunch and a glass of sparkling white wine. Talk about being bougie! This was an excellent day out with a couple of girlfriends. They also have a relaxation room where you can read on oversized couches with snacks, gourmet teas and water. Well worth the trip out of Milwaukee and money! I can't wait to come back! read more

My sisters and I spent a Saturday at this spa. This was the first time I had a massage since COVID started and it was well worth the wait!! Sean/Shawn was my masseur, he was accommodating and showed a real interest in healing the body. I give him 12/10 and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a rejuvenated experience. I am still floating on a cloud, over an hour after my massage today. I was surprised by my mom with a massage at Aspira - I opened spa in Appleton earlier this year and was seriously over due for some relaxation. I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who walked me back and gave me a small tour of what was available to me while I was there. A changing room (complete with beautiful showers and personal lockers - that you create your own passcode for, nice touch!) The women's lounge, which opened up into a shared lounge area with a jacuzzi and lounge chairs. The last room was a meditation room - which blew me away. A small pool of water that trickled down from a rock wall surrounded by candles. Just beautiful! My massage was perfect - the therapist really listened to what I was looking for and man did she deliver! A very thoughtful and well timed massage, from the tips of my toes to the top of my head, nothing was left out - it really was fantastic. Hot towels too! She met me outside of the room after my massage, with a smile and a glass of water and walked me back to the lounge and women's changing room. While some may look at the price and be turned off - this is an experience to be had. You are not only paying for the excellent service you receive, but for some "you time" in a beautiful space. None of us get enough of that and I don't think you can truly put a price on it. Highly recommend!! read more

I wish we never went. Well, maybe if it was 1/3 the price but even then it wouldn't be a Swedish massage. This was the worst massage I've had. Don't get me wrong, it was relaxing but we booked a "Swedish massage with medium pressure" but what we got was someone spreading oil on us and the lightest massage of my life. Not a Swedish massage and certainly not medium or even low pressure for a Swedish massage. I was debating about not tipping 20% for the first time but luckily for the masseuse, it's mandatory charge on top of the bill - doesn't this perpetuate mediocrity. Also protects from cheap skates I guess. If you want to relax and have oil rubbed on you this will work but if you want a massage with even light pressure, don't go. read more

My husband and I came to the spa for an anniversary gift and very happy that we did. This was by far one of the best massages that we both have ever had!! We booked the 80 minute couples massage with the additional time and whirlpool. The massage room was so comfortable. It included a private bathroom, shower, whirlpool tub, fireplace and two massage tables. They even included a bottle of champagne to toast to our 3 year anniversary. I had the best facial ever this morning at the Aspira Spa. Rebecca did a great job of educating me about my skin and how best to take care of it, without being pushy about buying their products. The facial included a neck, scalp, arm and foot massage, which was amazing. Take time to enjoy the facility after your service. The shower is the biggest I've ever seen with 7 body sprays. Everything you need is there for you-they even brought me a coffee from somewhere else in the resort. Be sure to splurge if you are staying at the resort. Your body will thank you. read more

The key to a great message form me is if I fall asleep, my massage therapist knew exactZzzzzzzzzzzz, sorry I was just recalling my massage experiance. We took advantage of lunch by Lola's and had a delightful meal. The only, and I must stress only, short fall was I just could not fine a truely quiet space to meditate. There were a number of groups at the resort and the ladies at the spa we a little chatty. Unfortunately I was not even able to fine quiet in the tranquill space, which needs a door and is too close to the front desk. Not a great experience. Beautiful facility. Great resort, but massage and whirlpool area were extremely disappointing. When I called to inquire about the massage services, specifically what is their traditional massage - because I couldn't tell from the list of services - she told me that the Aromatherapy is their traditional massage. So I booked 2 at the same time. We arrived early to take advantage of the whirlpool/sauna area. To our disgust the indoor whirlpool was cold and filthy. Scum covered the steps and ledge. Not just a small amount - it was everywhere. The sauna also wasn't turned on and was room temp. The outside whirlpool was also cool. Our appointment was for 11am, so it's not like we were there so early. They just apparently don't heat the whirlpools or clean them. I mentioned the scum to the attendant and she said she'd mention it to maintenance. She seemed uninterested. Then for the awful massages. Basically they consisted of the therapist spreading oil on our bodies. Seriously, I've never had a massage with virtually NO pressure. After reviewing the brochure, the description says "light pressure" but I expected that was compared to a Swedish style massage. This was virtually NO pressure. The other extremely odd thing was the massage table had no top sheet. They asked us to cover up with a scratchy towel that wasn't big enough to cover my body. I'm 5'2. It was very odd because the therapist would uncover both legs at the same time and massage one and then the other. Leaving one leg uncovered/exposed. Finally after my feet were freezing and left uncovered, I asked to have them covered by another towel. And the therapist continued to finish speeding oil on my arm before covering my feet. I'm just used to being under a sheet/blanket covering everything except the part of the body that is being worked on. I'm also used to a massage. Not a body rub. The combination of no pressure and no top sheet on the massage table was odd and awful. There were moments of bliss - the warm towel placed on my back and feet at the end. Sad because the massage room was beautiful and the therapist friendly. I wanted to suggest that the spa manager attend the Kohler Spa to really understand what a great spa experience was. read more

My sister took me here for a spa getaway for my birthday. She purchased a package that included a room, massages, and a dining credit. Spa - So I was not very impressed with the spa area. The locker room and showers were lovely but the women's lounge was very small and the area with the sauna and hot tub was communal and that was the only hot tub area. There were not many lounge chairs so it filled up really fast, maybe like 10 chairs (I can only imagine how summer is). I have been to the spa in the Abbey resort and they have a very LARGE communal area with no issues finding a lounge chair as well as a hot tub in the communal area as well as a women's only. I wish this place had that. Meditation room - I was SO EXCITED for the meditation room. I saw the pictures online and I was impressed and so excited to meditate in there. When I actually tried meditating in there I was SO UNBELIEVABLY DISAPPOINTED. The mediation room is adjacent to the main hallway and there is NO DOOR. I could hear EVERYTHING! I could hear the receptionists answering phones and talking to each other and laughing and I could hear the therapists talking with their next clients as they walked down the hall. There are thick doors keeping sound out to the locker room and the women's lounge... why not the meditation room. I would have put my headphones in and listen to music but I didn't bring them with me. Customer service - While we were in the spa.. we stumbled upon something disturbing that totally turned us off to the spa. We told the girls at the front desk and they said they would call their maintenance people. We wanted to spend the entire day at the spa until our services but we were so disturbed that we decided to go to our room and come back for our massages. Needless to say, our weekend spa getaway was a total bust by this point. My sister again told another girl at the front desk what we had seen and she snapped "I Know" back at her. My sister emailed the manager and got a response RIGHT AWAY. The manager called our room. She asked us to come back and set us up in a couples spa suite before our massages. She was very apologetic and very concerned with what had happened. I would rate the spa receptionists a 0 but the management was a 10. Couple's spa suites - I was blown away by this suite. I think it is like $50 extra per person to reserve one of these before your treatments.. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! They set you up with an amazing jacuzzi bath where multiple people can fit inside. There is a fire place, your own private bathroom, shower, and patio outside. They give you your massages right in the suite. You can order food and drinks and they bring it to you.. you never have to leave. It is because of this spa suite that I would come back here. Our spa getaway weekend was redeemed and went beyond amazing. I was finally able to meditate there. Next time I come back I would get the suite and I would avoid the other areas unless they fix the meditation room issue. Food - we ate at the spa before we went into the spa suite. The food was good.. a lot of healthy light options. We also got smoothies which were delicious. The dining area in nice and clean and was very quiet. read more

My review is mostly for Lori :) but first, the space is beautiful. Everything about it is top notch, from the fabulous Staff, Showers, Decor, Products, they think of everything. Sure its a little pricey but you really do get what you pay for and you can use the facilities all day. We were there for a family reunion, 7 of my family members had treatments with different people. Everyone was very happy! The only non positive thing I can say is about the meditation room. Its beautiful, perfect in every way, except it's location. Every single person that goes anywhere has to constantly walk passed it and people are not exactly conscious of their voice level. Lori was wonderful. If you are interested in healing, energy treatments. Get a Reiki session with Lori. She is the real deal. Intuitive, peaceful, loving. A very special lady. Most of the time service is spot on, great massages. I once got a $75 manicure there that my 6 year old daughter could have done a better job. We went for a girls weekend and we're so disappointed. The outdoor pool area was loaded with ants and when we told the girl working there she said there was nothing she could do. We had to find the cushions that belonged on the outside chairs and put them out ourselves. The whole area was very dirty and not at all relaxing. We also needed to use the shower area. While taking a shower the water leaked out all over the bathroom area. When we went and got help she was so rude and was upset we used the towels to dry up the area. I would not recommend this spa to relax in but maybe the services are ok. The couple outside next to us had confirmations to get a massage and when they checked in the girl didn't have them in her system. They offered them to sit and relax outside and they would give them complimentary wine but never showed up. Not a place to go a relax! read more

My mom and I came here for a spa day and overnight at the Osthoff. We chose the Aspira Journey spa experience in spa suites and had a great time. Both of our therapists were really kind, and the spa suites were luxurious. Afterward, we hung out in the spa whirlpool and sauna for a couple of hours. We ordered lunch through the spa cafe, and the food was exceptional. The amenities themselves were really worth the money. We would both come again. read more

I wish I could say I loved my massage at Aspira but unfortunately, it never even happened. I stopped by the spa first thing in the morning to make an appointment for later that afternoon. I showed up 10 minutes early to my appointment, filled out the paperwork and was escorted to the changing rooms. I was told to change into a robe and wait in the room across the hall. Nearly 45 minutes after my appointment time, an employee finally noticed that I was still sitting there. She told me she would go check with the front desk. Five minutes later, a different employee came back and told me that the person who was scheduled to do my massage just called in with an emergency and wasn't going to make it. She apologized and said they could schedule me for an appointment tomorrow and MIGHT even be able to give me a discount. I told her I wouldn't be around tomorrow but that I vacation there every summer and would accept a discount for next year. She took down my name, phone number and email address and assured me her manager would contact me the next day. It has been a month now and nobody has contacted me. Such a disappointing experience. My family, friends and I will be finding a new spa destination. read more
