Patient has to call for any follow ups and to get an explanation regarding test results. 7. Long wait period to receive test results. Overview: When I met w/ Dr. Subhani for the initial visit, she did spend a decent amount of time w/me but seemed uninterested in hearing what I had to say regarding my acne. I asked her to do a hormonal blood test and her attitude said that was a waste of time. She had already determined my hormone levels were normal because I'm not fat. But she did a blood test anyway because that was the main reason for the visit. She didn't want to give me any type of solution either for the acne. I had to ask her for antibiotics or something to start working on the problem. The blood test results took a couple weeks. The staff called and quickly stated the results are normal and hung up. I have no idea what they tested for. What did I pay for? When I called back to get more info on the test and maybe get a prescription, the staff didn't know what to go over or what to say nor would get the doc on the phone. Days later, when the doctor finally called back like I asked, she too had nothing to say and seemed hella irritated. Maybe I had to pay another $150 for her to talk. Seeing her was a total waste of money. She's just another doc. in the field for the money.

If I had to say one thing negative, it is that your wait time will often be above average, because Dr. Sullivan does not rush his clinical visits. If that is an issue for you, I suggest getting a morning appointment. The wait time may not be as lengthy. Whatever the wait time, Dr. Sullivan is worth the wait in my opinion.

I have never had a problem getting an appointment when I wanted one and the nurses are get back to you pretty quickly when you leave them a message. They have a good variety of office hours and if you have to get allergy shots, they open at 7 am twice a week for them. I would give him 5 stars, but lately we've had to wait longer than 30 minutes to see him and we usually have the first appointment after lunch!

She gave me her cell phone number for emergencies when I was at my sickest and did not bat an eye when I called at 3:00 am Thanksgiving for help (she was not on call). Regina is compassionate, hardworking and gets to know you first to make sure you are comfortable with her and the practice.She needs to know you and your needs to make sure that the course of treatment fits in with your personality, diagnosis and lifestyle. You are not just a medical file and diagnosis, you are a person first, then a patient. I am in remission and she and the chemo nurses made this possible. When I worked at a company with very iffy medical coverage, she knew I was outlaying more than I was making. She went to her partners and the insurance administrator and worked out an arrangement beneficial to me (and I'm sure to her detriment). Thankfully, I have much better insurance coverage now. Also, the health insurance administrator suggested we work together to see if I would be eligible for grants from the drug companies and other cancer charities and foundations if I had trouble meeting the deductible portion. There is a lot of help out there, you just need to be willing to do the paperwork. Regina's called me at odd hours when I have a question- you just need to be patient because she has hospital visits to make, patient appointments. transcription and return calls to make.She is also entitled to a personal life, but I swear I don't know where she finds the time. But she does call me back and I don't care if it's 9 at nite- she called because she knew I was worried. Thought she was good but was sorely mistaken. Appointment was at 930 on a weekday. We both had to take the morning off from work. We arrived at around 915 and there was just 1 couple ahead of us. Paperwork was done by around 930. The doctor didn't see us till around 1045 for around 5 mins only. She told us she would be back and left us at the examination room for around 30-45 mins. I had to step out to see what the hold up was and why we were still waiting. At that point one of the nurses or CNA transferred us to a different room and Dr. Wong saw us and had a surprise look on her face. The look that you can tell she wasn't expecring us to be still there waiting for her. She came by another 15 mins later and asked us if we had any questions. Well, she told us to wait for her, and we were expecring to give us more info and what the next steps were. Her staff does not have a single bit of customer service at all and the receptionist (the fat lady) treated us like we were an inconvenience for asking questions for the schedule for the ultrasound and for asking about setting up another appointment for the next visit. Thank God we found another doctor who is the total opposite of Dr. Wong. I was fully expecting to wait two or three months to be seen, but by fabulous luck, I got an appointment a week and a half after I called. That definitely started things off on a great note. Dr. Helbing is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. She's totally great about answering questions, even if they're bizarre and/or unrelated to the visit at hand (we talked about grad/med school admissions). And she handles the awkward questions - come on, most of the things that one asks their gyno are pretty flipping awkward - very well. She's probably the best doc I've ever had, and most definitely the best gyno. I mean, really. Nobody enjoys going to the lady-doctor. If you're lucky enough to find one that puts you at ease and makes the whole experience as non-awkward as possible? That's awesome. You might even be inclined to write a Yelp review about them, regardless of how strange it might feel to Yelp your gyno.

His office manager in particular goes out of her way to do as little as possible and does not follow through on sending referrals for HMO patients. Any other office, anywhere frankly, either emails or faxes the required paperwork to the specialist, or they have it ready when the patient is done with their appointment. Unfortunately, other medical offices have given us the impression that this staff has been a problem in the past. Why keep someone that makes such a bad impression? It's so unfortunate, because the Doctor himself is great. I wish they would get with the current times and electronic advancements.
