***BEWARE OF BILLING POLICY*** My daughter had been seeing Dr. Sullivan's clinic for many years. She would be seen in the clinic once a year (typically late spring/early summer after school is out) for her annual review and medication refills. Every year we would pay an office visit copay and a lab copay. Then Covid 19 hit and we were forced to do her annual visit via telehealth. Great, no problem. Again, we paid a telehealth visit copay and a lab copay. Fast forward to 2022, my daughter needed a refill of her maintenance medication prior to her upcoming annual visit so we made a request via our local pharmacy as we always do (and how millions of patients do each day). Refill was authorized, annual visit was completed in person soon thereafter...everything seemed normal. We soon found out that everything was not normal. While expecting to receive our two regular copay charges (office visit and lab), we received an additional "telehealth" charge of $50. I assumed this was a simple clerical error and reached out to the clinic. Billing department informed me that this additional $50 charge was because we had requested refills outside of a regularly scheduled office visit. And since Dr. Sullivan (or some other provider there) had to access my daughter's chart to authorize the refill, this constituted a "telehealth visit" and subsequent $50 charge. I am a pharmacist, have worked in a retail pharmacy for nearly 20 years, and I have NEVER heard of such a policy from any provider or patient. I guarantee you I would have had 1000's of irate patients had they been charged $50 every time the pharmacy requests refills on their behalf. It was at this point that my wife and I decided we would transfer my daughter's care to a different provider. And yes, we paid the fraudulent "telehealth visit" copay. A year later, June of 2023, my daughter is seen by a new provider. Everything seemed normal (again). We soon found out everything was not normal (again). August 2023 we receive an EOB from our insurance regarding a "telehealth visit" with Dr. Sullivan on 7/14/23. I thought to myself (again)...this must be some simple clerical error. After reaching the billing department, I was informed we were billed a "telehealth visit" because Sullivan had to again access my daughter's chart outside a regularly scheduled office visit. I asked, how is this possible....we transferred my daughter's care to another provider and had not been seen by Sullivan (i.e. one of her NP's) since June 2022. Billing department further explained that our insurance company sent Sullivan's clinic a letter (something to do with my daughter's therapeutic compliance), and Sullivan (or some other provider) had to access my daughter's chart in order to complete/answer this insurance form. I thought this was the most preposterous charge I had ever heard of (even more preposterous than the $50 charge we were billed in 2022 for requesting refills). Not once did either my wife or I ask about, request, or authorize any care from Sullivan's clinic since 2022. I informed the billing department representative that this is straight fraud and asked for my daughter's chart to be closed (hoping to avoid any more fraudulent charges in the future). The rep said she cannot "close" her chart, but she would place a "large alert" stating patient has transferred care and not to access her chart for any reason (ever). read more

I have to say that after reading some of these very negative reviews about Dr. Sullivan and the way she runs her office, I have to completely disagree. Since moving back from California 6 months ago, I have had the worst case of eczema and dermatitis all over my face and not one topical medicine that dermatologist have prescribed me has done anything for me accept make it worse. Dr. Sullivan is going to bat for me and has found a medicine that is pretty much proven to work, but is hard to get approved by insurance companies (go figure). She is helping get the medicine approved and covered by my insurance company. No other doctor has even attempted to do this for me. I also appreciate when a doctor is thorough and goes over everything with me if not once, then twice to make sure I understand everything and do not leave with any unanswered questions. I would give Dr Sullivan 0 stars if I could. She is a horrible doctor who is never in her office . She has it run by her nurses and physicians assistants. There is no communication between her self and her staff. If you are going there for allergy shots she is clueless to what's going on. One of her shot nurses is rude and condescending. My son has had horrible care here but I felt trapped as they had his shot formula . Until his last examination when the clueless physician assistant told him he could stop his shots. When we informed her he was still symptomatic she said he should get retested with a new formula made - something I asked to be done 2 years prior and was told by Dr Sullivan that's not something we do !!! I was livid ! All these years he could of had a new formula and been better sooner??!! In a way I'm grateful because we are now at a much better office with an excellent doctor. You should of seen what they put me through to get his records AND threatened with "we have the right to 30 days before we send them" . They actually just sent me a bill for $24. Can you believe the nerve ?? Believe me. Please , don't bring your child to this incompetent doctor and office. There are much better allergists out there. Amazing response. It goes to show how clueless you actually are. Most of your responses were not even what I was talking about. As to you in the office all those days - you must be hiding in a back room. Yes , I did mean to hurt as we have been hurt by your incompetence for years. I was the fool who didn't question a professional thinking you were doing the right thing. I was wrong in not leaving earlier. I should of found a different doctor after you said you don't retest. Patients are precious people - especially children. You should take better care of them. You should be ashamed of yourself. As if accommodating me for years - yes that's your job. You should accommodate patients , we are the ones who PAY you. Dr. Sullivan very professional and knowledgeable. She helped me with issue which the other doctor did not pay attention to. But her billing personal is awful. They charged me full price on the day of service and didn't bother to send claim to insurance. Never pick up a phone or return calls. I had call many times until one of staff helped me. Finally they sent claim to insurance and I got reimbursement for visit. After followed up visit I have same problem. Tried to reach with no luck. Claim still was not submitted to insurance. read more

Dr. Sullivan is hands-down the best doctor we have seen or our child has seen, ever! My husband originally saw dr. Sullivan as a service member- active duty, and unfortunately our daughter needed an allergist after she was born. My husband remember dr. Sullivan and we arranged to come from out-of-state to have her see our daughter. She was thorough, educated, and client centered. The office manager Kathy and her staff worked straight through to help us get her records to our next post assignment. now our daughter can be a normal active kid who is playing outside and loving life. I would recommend this facility and this practice to anybody read more

I did not have a positive experience with Dr. Sullivan or her practice Touch of Health. I brought both of my children in for allergy tests. In order to see her, we had to pre-pay $300 per child or they wouldn't accept us as clients. I have never done this before but did it as some of my friends highly recommended her. From the second we walked in, we felt the "chill" in the air. The people working there were neutral, no smiles (except the nurse Mimi, who was a gem with my kids!). They performed a scratch test on my daughter, and blood work on my son as he does not react well to scratch tests (my son has been seeing an allergist for eight years - we just went for updated numbers). When the doctor came in, she talked about my daughter's allergies (this was her first test), nothing too remarkable. Then she started talking about my son's allergies although she did not have the results from his current test (he is very allergic to soy and very allergic to nuts, which we've known about for a long time). She talked non-stop for one hour. I know most people would enjoy a doctor who spends so much time with them, and normally I'm one of them. However it was severe overkill as it was a lot of information for a long time. She seemed annoyed (our perception of course) when either myself or my 11 year old asked questions. I told her that we should wait to discuss my son's allergies until after we get the results of his blood work. A few days later I received a call from their office with my son's results. Since his results were exactly the same as his last test, I decided that I do not need to go back to the doctor for a follow up visit. I called the office to cancel the appointment, and requested a copy of only the blood work for our records. One would think this would be a simple task, not so! I was told by Kathy, the office manager, that it is their policy to NOT give out the results unless we have an appointment. I told her that I thought that was illegal. She insisted that it was the doctor's policy as they don't want people interpreting the results themselves. I told her that I just want the piece of paper for our files, we already knew the results and this is not new to us. Kathy then told me that I should call the lab that performed the blood work (right across the hall from them) to get a copy of lab results. I called the lab. They were confused why the doctor's office instructed me to call them as I signed the HIPPA papers with the doctor's office, not them. They cited HIPPA laws and told me they legally could not give me the report (which I completely understood). I called back Kathy at the doctor's office and left a message. I did not hear back from her for the rest of the day. Today I went to the office with a letter requesting both of my children's complete files. We only saw the doctor once, so I can only assume there aren't that many pages to copy. Yet they charged me $26.50 PER child plus $1 per page. Seems excessive for so few papers, but I paid it to end this experience. I posted on Facebook about my experience with trying to get my son's blood work results. Five of my friends responded that they had very similar experiences with this office. I don't doubt or question Dr. Sullivan's medical knowledge as I am sure it is fine, that is not my complaint. However it is a VERY shady practice which seems to take advantage of those who aren't very knowledgeable about their rights when it comes to their medical records.
