The tow truck driver came and insisted on hooking it up to "the rear control arm" he told me and I…read moresaid please just tow it from the towing eyelet anything other than there is not a good idea, a minute later he proceeded as he went to pull it on his flatbed there was a loud pop and I watched my baby roll down the road just a curb and went flying down a 30 foot cliff after being dragged out we noticed he HOOKED IT UP TO THE SWAYBAR If you live in CT never use rt25 towing in Monroe

I needed to have a few large items (refrigerator, furniture, etc.) removed from my parents' house…read morein Monroe, CT. I found a business card magnet for Rt. 25 Junk Haulers on the counter at a pizza place in Monroe while waiting for a take-out order. A couple of weeks later, I decided to send them an email to get pricing, etc. Within an hour or so, I received an email reply from Valarie, the owner. She wrote that "Mike" would call me soon. About an hour later, Mike called. He was very nice and gave me a quote based on what I told him I needed removed. We scheduled a time a couple of days later for the removal. Mike and Jay showed up on time (we agreed anytime between 12 PM and 3 PM; he arrived at 1 PM), and they were very polite and professional. They got right to work. They even took apart a large desk and took apart the refrigerator, so they would not damage the walls trying to remove the items from the finished basement. The removed a door and replaced it before leaving. They worked hard. I would definitely recommend Rt. 25 Junk Haulers.

Top notch service, from start to finish! Angel and George said they could arrive before the arrival…read morewindow and arrived gave an estimate which was entirely reasonable. They were total pros, friendly, fast, and efficient. The easiest and smartest way to get rid of your clutter, without a doubt. Highest possible recommendation!

I hired Junk Luggers to remove four pieces of furniture from a single room. They charged $265 for…read moretwo pieces -- roughly 10 minutes of work carrying items to the curb. The full job would have been $400 for about 15 minutes of labor. When I objected, the work was already partially done, which is exactly how this pricing model works: by the time you understand what you're being charged, items are already at the road and you're negotiating from a losing position. Here's what I want every potential customer to understand: their pricing is based on volume, not effort. A bulky item that could be dismantled into a small pile in five minutes gets billed as a full bulky item. Dismantling furniture is trivial for a company that does this all day -- but they will not volunteer to do it, because bulk is how they charge you more. Before you book them or anyone like them: Ask if any item can be dismantled -- then do it yourself first. A disassembled bed frame or desk costs a fraction of an intact one. Get the total price in writing before a single item is touched. Do not let work begin on a verbal ballpark. Get quotes from 1-800-GOT-JUNK, local independent haulers, or your town's bulk pickup -- many municipalities take furniture at the curb for free or a small fee. I later called to discuss the charge and never received a call back, which tells you how much they value customers after the credit card clears. $265 for 10 minutes. Do the math on that hourly rate and decide for yourself.
