First…read moreof all, they do not have a working phone number now, but they did when I first booked with them - I would have never booked if I wasn't able to speak to someone. I got no communication prior to the moving date and because of this they ended up driving to the wrong address on the day of the move. We also ran out of boxes while packing up items, but again I wanted to discuss the logistics of the move beforehand but there is no phone. They did not use their own truck they showed up in a Uhaul which was not what I was told would happen when I booked - I asked if they had their own trucks and they said yes (on the phone). The two guys that did the moving were very hard working and very nice guys, but they did not wrap ANY of my furniture and it resulted in my couch rubbing on the truck or walls and becoming discolored. This $5k couch was half the reason I booked movers to begin with. I didn't know that these items should have been wrapped, I've never done this before, but one of my neighbors just moved yesterday and the care with which their movers used was night and day to what my furniture received. The photos on Abode and Beyond's website with furniture covered in blue blankets are just for show, nothing like that happens the day of. I tipped the movers as they really did hustle, and helped to move stuff around to the right location in the new place, I want to make that clear, but I didn't realize the extent of the damage until after they had left - and the whole reason you hire movers is to move your stuff undamaged... I asked one of the sales consultants Brett for a phone call prior to the move and got nothing back. I also asked him for one after the move to discuss all the issues and again got nothing but an email. I was really hoping this would be a good experience. ~$1600 after he discounted some stuff due to the issues (down to cost he said) to move a 1 bedroom apartment and I will have to pay to have my couch cleaned and it might not even be correctable. There is a hole in a box spring (which really doesn't matter but it shows the theme), and a half container of bleach was packed for some reason which spilled during the move onto other items. Had they wrapped my furniture with the blue/gray blankets or whatever is pictured on their website and used their phone I think this would have been a 4-5 star experience. Unfortunately a few items got damaged and I think it was preventable after watching other movers in action.

Joe met my father at his current condo in CT to review the current furniture and get a better idea on what will be needed to be done. He provided a price, and my father had nothing but good things to say about his overall demeanor and enthusiasm towards our upcoming move to the new condo. It is difficult purchasing and dealing with the logistics of a new home remotely, and I appreciate his help. We look forward to many more projects with him !

There was also absolutely no communication with the owner. Even after we texted and called looking for them. They didn't finish moving us until 930 at night and didn't even put the beds together. They scratched my grandmother's piano, my dresser, my dining room table, my TV stand, they ripped the back of my sofa and a mattress, and added some dance to my brand new refrigerator. We heard the owner complain about not seeing his kids many times through the day while they rushed moving all of our stuff. Very unprofessional,siderate, And cheap. You get what you pay for. They were all very friendly and accommodating. I had to go to the new storage facility to get in before they were finished at the old storage facility. Richard made sure that everything was out, he took a photo of the cleaned out space for me. The arrived promptly at the new facility and were super friendly and fast about getting my belongings into the new storage space. The new storage space was mostly AI driven so things were a bit tricky regarding the AI, but Richard and the crew did a great job. Also, their price was reasonable. I highly recommend them.
