Staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. We needed assistance in picking out flowers for an arrangement. We were rushed through the process and the associate was doing 10 other things while trying to help us. He was very demeaning and judgmental. You could tell he was frustrated with his management and didn't care to be there. We were so disappointed in the service that we decided not to proceed with purchasing from this business. The service was great in person, but half my order wasn't there when I picked up, 2 days before the wedding I was doing and I was never informed. The eucalyptus looks terrible. The flowers I did get are gorgeous. The prices are not wholesale, they actually seem higher than retail. I will never go there again. Again, the in person service is wonderful. read more

I'm literally so disappointed right now because I've bought from them before. I placed an order over the phone and I picked up my flowers happy like always. Just to get home and see that more than half of the flowers I paid CRAZY MONEY FOR were molded. It's insane because I live an hour away and drive just to get expensive moldy small flowers. The bud was incredibly small they even looked like SPRAY ROSES. I think it's insane that they charge so much damn money just for the roses to be moldy and small. Their customer service is absolute trash as well, they're not helpful at all. I'm so disappointed because I was told they picked the "best ones" for me. This is literally ridiculous, I wouldn't buy again. If I could give it a 0 start rating I would because even a 1 is too generous. read more

Other than pre-made arrangements not being sold with humorous, but descriptive labels, Associated Wholesale Florist fills every need you could have for flowers for an event or personal enjoyment. They have pre-made arrangements in a large cooler, and they also sell flowers by the bunch if you prefer to arrange your own. Prices are reasonable - $10/doz for roses (price varies on stem length) and $30/bunch of 10 Asian lilies. They also sell quality vases/glassware at reasonable prices. I wasn't in the market for design/arranging services, but it looked like they had about a dozen workstations. I did think the pre-made arrangements were pretty and I would buy one. As it is, I'm currently happily single...but if I ever do have a girlfriend again.... me and my big mouth will be a frequent customer! read more

This used to be my go-to for unique flowers and supplies. Since they switched ownership though, their prices have skyrocketed. The same sunflowers I got from King Soopers for $3 were $12.95 here. There were two women talking at the desks in front of the door when I walked in. One was eating a sandwich, looked up at me, gave no acknowledgement, and went back to eating while the other couldn't be bothered to even look at me-- not to mention any of the other people up front that heard the doors open and surely saw me walk in. I felt ridiculous just standing there and eventually one of the women came up to me and I let her know I'd never been before and wanted a little help. She handed me a price sheet and pointed me to the fridge. The fridge didn't have much to work with or at least nothing I'd know to make a decent bouquet out of (if only someone had offered to assist but maybe that's not how it works there?) and the prices on the premade bouquets could not have possibly been worth what was in there. Ended up putting the price sheet on a desk and walked out. Couldn't convince me to go back. read more

Ugh. I was so excited to come into Associated Wholesale Florist to start the process of ordering my wedding flowers. I even called a couple of days before to make sure they were open. They told me to come on in and someone would be able to help get everything started. She said that I did not need an appointment. Yesterday my mom, grandma, and myself made the drive (about 30 minutes) to AWF. We were really excited to get going and get some ideas and maybe even put our order in same day! Unfortunately, the experience was far less enjoyable than we had hoped for. When we walked in, we were greeted with a "hello". This was the last time we were spoken to. We browsed the (fake) flowers trying to get ideas. I noticed that another employee was just finishing up with a couple of customers, so we wandered around hoping for some acknowledgment. As soon as she was done, she disappeared into the back. I made eye contact with several employees only to remain ignored. Finally I decided to go to the front desk counter to see how the process works. The girl promptly picked up the phone as soon as she saw me walking towards her. We were here for 20 minutes and were not offered any assistance. I guess they did not want our business. Too bad, I was planning on spending a nice amount on flowers for my wedding. read more

Associated Wholesale Florist is the only place in the Denver area that will sell wholesale flowers to people without a wholesale license. I stopped in here with a girlfriend to find flowers for bud vase centerpieces for my wedding. They were busy but told us where to start looking and said they'd be right with us. With the help of Nikki, who was great, we were able to find all of the flowers that we need for my wedding, as well as plenty of vases, at great prices. She helped me put a list together of flowers to order by the first of June to make sure they are ready and fresh when I need them. She also special ordered two boxes of the vases we found that will be perfect on my tables. If you're a DIY kind of person and want to save money on flowers for your wedding, this is the place. We are using blue hydrangeas, white stock, and lavender on our tables and couldn't be happier with the prices. This place was definitely a find! read more

When searching for a florist to get flowers for my DIY wedding arrangements, I called AWF and was told that they were the only wholesaler in Colorado open to the public. I took that to mean that you could get wholesale prices here. Be forewarned, that is not true. My mom and I went in the day before my wedding and selected bunches of flowers from the cooler. When we went to pay, we were shocked to find out we were paying retail prices. I'm talking $40 for a bunch of carnations (beautiful carnations, but still). When we questioned it, the girl told us the wholesale prices are only available to people who have a wholesale account with them. The biggest disappointment, however, was that I had pre-ordered some bunches of beautiful flowers for my bouquet and by the next day they were unusable. All the petals had fallen off a handful of flowers. The rest were limp and falling over. I was only able to salvage a few stems. So we went to Safeway in a pinch and bought beautiful flowers there for $5. Lesson learned. read more

You need to have a tax-id number to buy things at a wholesale price, but it is possible to buy some flowers there at a very reasonable price. They let you roam their coolers searching for their best blossoms, but also have an order form that will let you place orders ahead of time. It'd be perfect for the hobby florist if it weren't for the special account you have to set up to get the deals. read more

I was super excited to find a wholesaler to go to in Denver because I had to do a bunch center pieces for a corporate event...well this wasn't that place. We drove over 1/2 hour and we barely received more than a hello. I asked the woman for some help, told her I was going to be making them myself and she said "Well, we can't really give you any advice if we aren't doing them for you" She then gave me a price sheet with the names of the flowers, as if I know what all those flowers are by name, and sent me on my way, no one even looked our way the rest of my time there. Drove 35 minutes each way to get special flowers (lizianthus) for Valentine's Day. One of the staff helped pick the best bunch. They looked good. Bought feverfew also. Looked great. By the next morning they were looking considerably depressed but knowing it was Valentine's Day I chose not to call knowing it was the busiest day of the year, and maybe they would perk up. I called on the 15th and spoke to Jennifer. She suggested I come in but I wasn't able to make the drive again. She suggested they might be able to get a fresh batch out in a delivery, and would have a manager call me back. No one ever did. I left a voice mail a day or so later and again no call. This is my first ever review on yelp if that gives you any idea how terrible my experience was that I came back to the house and signed up. I live just up the road from the warehouse and have bought a couple things before. I stopped in to purchase some flowers for a special occasion this evening. I arrived at 450 to find the door partially open so I squeezed through thinking there was something wrong with the door only to be told they were closed by a snarky youngish dark haired woman. There were still several people shopping at that time and a couple just checking out. I told her I knew exactly what I needed. Her reply was "sorry, I have already counted the money." To which I replied," there are still people checking out!" Then she asked me if I had a commercial account with them and when I replied no she just ignored me from there on out. Remember this is still all before 5 which is when they are supposed to close. I am a landscape contractor and work on high end projects and once in awhile we do need indoor flowers/plants and arrangements. I would never never do business here after that experience. read more
