They specialize in WW2 rifles, which I have purchased a few online through Gunbroker, but the option to inspect in person is what keeps me coming back to the store. Bigger stores often don't stock C&R firearms, or won't let you inspect them to your satisfaction, or sometimes are even rude in their customer service, but by far, my experience at Horse Shoe Firearms has been extremely pleasant and has led me to purchase some great finds! The resident collector and salesman at the store is very knowledgeable and we often compare our recent acquisitions. One of my favorite past-times is coming in and having an academic discussion about WW2 Arisaka Bolt Action rifles with Colt here at the store, and it's nice to actually see and hold different examples he has come across available in the store. Their store is small, but they have a vast array of firearms and ammunition from modern to antique. If they don't have it, they can definitely get it for you, and their customer service in selecting products is second-to-none. So I was thrown out of the store today by what I imagine to be the store manager, a very RUDE woman…read morewho accused me of throwing clothes at an employee the day before. Which was totally untrue!! She did not identify herself but, let me tell you a story.... It all started yesterday Tuesday July 14, 2026. I went into the store looking for tops to workout in. Found three tops and proceeded to the front cash registers. There were 4 people in line before me. One elderly lady running the cash register, there was some sort of hold up .. I imagine it had to do with pricing of an item. The line started getting longer behind me. I looked around for another employee to ask if they could open another register. When I notice another elderly staff lady heading towards the front. As she's walking by me I ask her if she could open another register. She ignored me...walked right past me like I wasn't there!....so that wasn't pleasant...but I continued to stand in line . The customers that were at the first register were waiting for a manager I think. Not sure but .... The first staff member left that register and opened a new one, took the guy in front of me, but.... couldn't finish the sale because he only had a Card and for some reason the staff member could not get the cash register to go online. So we wait.... the other lady comes over all exhaberated and tells the guy he'll have to wait ... they have no idea how long it will take. This is when I decide I have to leave since I needed to pick up my husband from Phyisical therapy in town. Now this was not a happy workplace, you could feel the disdain the staff members had, not one smile not one apology that it was taking so long...nothing, so I turned around and put the three shirts ontop of a shelf that was in the isle leading into the registers. I could hear the elderly staff member mumble something behind me as I was leaving. but I didn't turn around. So, today I went back to the store hoping to get those shirts and to speak with another manager if there was one about the previous day. Another senior citizen, but a man this time, was running the register. I greeted him with a smile and asked him if he was a manager, he replied no.... I am a consultant, this place is awful we do not have enough help... he was about to tell me more when this RUDE woman walks up to me and accuses me of throwing clothing at her staff yesterday!. She then proceeded to take the shirts away from me and said she wasn't going to allow the sale of these items to me and told me to leave the store and never come back!!! WOW Just WOW Yes I will never go back but not because she told me not to, Obviously, based on all the bad reviews .. this store is run by poor management, my hard earned money will be spent at other more deserving establishments.

Jeff is very knowledgeable about guns and does do some gunsmithing and will zero your guns for you. He will order any gun you want or you can buy it elsewhere and have it shipped in for a small fee. don't know anyone who will do that for you today. Well pard, if you want the best deal then you should go see Jeff at his store. Let him take a look at your old firearms ad he will help you establish a fair price and take it on consignment. It just doesn't get any better than that.

It's located on Main Street. I told the lady running this store the same thing. I just never noticed! This is a small retail shop with a limited supply of rifles and handguns. They do have an ample supply of ammunition. This nice lady was very knowledgeable and nice. I did have a few select questions about open carry laws in South Carolina. I was told that if I got my C.W.P. I could put a pistol in a holster and legally walk down Main Street! Kind of reminds me of the Gunsmoke western tv series and that of being in old Dodge City! Truthfully; this doesn't appeal to me at all! I do think it's a good idea to own a firearm; but wearing it in a holster in public view is a little much I think! I'm now a senior citizen and I've never seen anyone open/carry not even one time! This store also has a nice selection of large hunting knives: for what common everyday use escapes me! Perhaps people just like to collect them. I haven't the faintest idea! Anyways; this is a very nice little shop and a very nice intelligent lady runs it with her husband. I do own a shotgun but I've never seriously considered a handgun. This is still the United States of America; and you do still have the right to bear arms if you so desire!
