Aster at Lely is so welcoming! One of my decisions to rent an apartment here was based on my first reaction of the staff when I came to look at the apartment complex. Nick was so friendly and welcoming, unbelievable that we both lived in the same town in Michigan at one time. Such a small world. The remaining staff that I've met, Christina and Danny have all been wonderful to work with and so helpful with any of my concerns. I've been here a week now, in my new apartment and all of my neighbors are so friendly. It's a beautiful place and I recommend it highly to anyone looking to find their future apartment home in Naples, FL. read more

I have lived at Aster for over 2 years. It is a nice apartment community that is pet friendly. I must say that the current manager, Christina is putting in the effort to keep up the properties issues. We would like it all done at once but that is not reasonable. The "valet service for your convenience" is a paid service. Don't make it sound like it's free. Regarding safety, this place is still shady. The gates have mostly been repaired, that part actually is true. The parties/noise disappeared with covid since for months the pool, gym, and club house area was rightly locked down (but don't worry; management had no problem still collecting the fees/upkeep for those amenities). They will not allow tenants to inspect the apartment with them when leaving and will charge for non-existent damage or repairs that are not needed or are part of normal upkeep at any other apartment. According to them, tenants were smoking in the apartment. One of them is allergic to cigarette smoke so there was nobody smoking in the apartment. They smoked outside because of this. Legal to do what they are doing?? Maybe.... Ethical?? Nope If you are considering renting here, make sure it is in your contract that you have the right to inspect or even have a representative inspect with them as they do their final check out inspection. read more

Another apartment with potential that has been ruined by the staff they hire. Maintenance started out great here; Tom, the supervisor was very approachable and would always greet the tenants living here. He made you feel safe when you knew you had maintenance coming in while you were gone. Now its a different story. They hired some imbecile straight from Long Island, his name is Keith. He's obnoxiously loud and will not give you the time of day. He's incredibly unapproachable and lazy. You'd see him drive by trash on the grounds, drive by light fixtures that needed to be replaced. Him and the two boys that work for him, Bobby and the Hispanic kid are useless. Never smiling or acknowledging anyone. The office staff are a clueless bunch. They rarely answer the phone and if they do manage to get off their personal phones and they do answer then you'll get a half-ass response. Joi was one of the girls working there when I lived there and I'd literally call the office phone right outside the office and no answer. I walk right in to see her on her phone. Even when I left and dropped off my final check joi was completely aloof. Never asking how our time was here or what the next journey entails. She literally grabbed the check and went right back to her phone. It's not worth the money to live here. Inspira, a new and prettier apartment complex moved in a better area of Lely. Everyone from maintenance to the office is beyond outstanding. A more pleasant man than Charles, you cannot find, same goes for the entire staff. They are so very accommodating & very pleasant. I cannot say enough nice things about everyone who works here. read more

I've lived at Aster 3 months and the place is maintained so well. They are always doing something - cleaning the sidewalks, scrubbing the breezeways, maintaining the trees and flowers and they added new counters to build in the grills. The pool is always pristine. My wife and I moved to Naples Fl in December of 2018. We visited Aster and really enjoyed the apartment layout and the location of the community. The staff that we started with was overhauled less than two weeks of us moving in. The new staff that took over we almost impossible to deal with. We had an issue take play on 12/31- 1/1 with another tenant in the parking lot shooting fire works at 0200 in the morning. My wife and I have a beautiful dog who like many other dogs does not react well to fireworks, gunshots, or thunder. Naturally when we moved in we were told the apartment complex had security and this was actually not the case. They had a local sheriff that lived on property but did not actually respond to any calls placed through their alert system. Needless to say Marnie attempted to evict us for calling the sheriffs office to have them stop the guy with the fireworks. This entire ordeal led to Marnie being caught on recording accusing us of saying things that weren't actually said. She has a very devious personality and make sure you are cautious when dealing with her. I would suggest recording all conversations to protect yourself and your loved ones. So once we moved on past this incident at the first of the year things were naturally rocky with Marnie and her staff throughout the rest of our time there. Also if you ever try and contact corporate they will refuse to give you the contact info for them. Naturally I found this info myself and found it much easier to bypass the typical office staff and go directly through the regional representative. If you simply good Preferred Properties their home office will show up in Atlanta. Also valet trash is hit or miss. They also don't care at all about recking your stairwells by dragging trash bags down them. We were constantly having to wipe our dogs paws off to get the liquids from people's trash off them and our feet. Smoking is also a big issue in the stair wells so if you are not able to live with the smell of cigarettes throughout your living area I would suggest staying away. Parking is also a nightmare. The community doesn't have enough parking to offer 1 space for every unit. So most times you can end up parking on the far side of the property to get to your apartment. The amenities themselves are great when they are not over done. Often times the grilling area was crowded with multiple families having parties and dinners on the weekend, but we often found this enjoyable to meet and converse with our neighbors. The one thing they were never able to fix in 13 months of ya being there is the fireplace. That poor thing just can't get figured out for the life of it. The biggest star in the entire community is maintenance. They are such hard workers and great people. Super friendly and always will to help or do whatever they can to make your day positive and more enjoyable.Unfortunately for us the brightness from maintenance could never overcome the darkness we constantly got upon entering the front office so we decided to look else where and I'm so glad we did. Our new community has been so welcoming and friendly is feels to good to be somewhere that understands customer service and hospitality. We absolutely love living here! Staff is professional and the community is beautiful! Never have to wait for a call back, they always answer the phone, for questions! There's always communication about what is going on and activities for the community! The new patio furniture is nice and so are the new grills! I used to love this community up until this year. A new management had taken over this past October and so many changes have been made that has not improved the living experience for many. The management that was here prior to October always made this community feel like a great well organized community not like a business that is trying out different "solutions" to see if they work. My first experience was with a complaint that was never acknowledged. The second situation was the removal of the dumpsters on Dahlias side. The third was a notice of cars being towed in the front (with very limited parking on Dahlia). The fourth and final straw was the change of the gate code which is ridiculous because every delivery package that is dropped off I used the code so they will be able to access (furniture and other big items) the call box doesn't work either to guide anyone in that may need access such as guests. I also requested a key fob because I misplaced mine and my FIANCÉ never received one upon moving in to my third and his first apartment here at Aster, instead of offering me one and being given notice that if I lost one I would have to pay for a replacement which is no problem, the manager had no other solution but to charge me for a replacement. Again we were ok with sharing one because he had never received one. I thought that the manager would have acknowledged that and made sure I would be able to enter my home but instead advised me to purchase one and to not risk my car being towed if parked out in the front. The hospitality is shot to shit! The community sucks and as soon as I am up on my lease I will be leaving Aster at Lely. There are many other new apartment complexes with better management. I am sorry that the staff that were here prior to this new management have to suffer through everyone's complaints. It must be miserable having to work in that type of environment. read more

Aster, in sight is a beautiful community. However, the current management company is literally running this into the ground. All of the ameinities that you are paying for to live in a "resort" setting don't work and the management is in no hurry to fix the issues. The grills, none of them work. The fire pit, doesn't work. All of the beautiful patio furniture you see in the photos....not there. If you would like a garage, there are none available as there are multiple business being run out of the complex in the garages, so in your luxury "resort" community you have plumbers utilizing 5 plus garage spaces to run their businesses, so get used to vans running in and out on a consistent basis. Oh, and they now are taking Section 8 residents. So, while you are paying for a "resort" experience, you will have to deal with the police on a consistent basis taking care of disturbances, people who don't care about the community and abuse it and an extremely non-proactive management company. It's truly a shame to watch a physically beautiful community being run straight into the ground. read more

Can't stress enough how much more we love, love, and beyond love this place. We loved this community with the prior management -- they put in all brand new "resort" amenities like grills, loungers, etc. over the summer and maintenance calls were handled in minutes, I kid you not. It was a hot Sunday afternoon in August when our AC in our 3rd floor apt decided it was taking a break and refused to run. We called the emergency number and left a message fully expecting we were going to spend the night in true Florida-style after not getting a call back 15 minutes later. To our amazement, within 20 minutes we got a knock on the door and our AC was up and running barely 10 minutes after that. We have owned homes our entire life and never had this service, ever. Anyway, when we thought this place couldn't get better, new management comes in from corporate office in Georgia, and can you say southern hospitality. She gave us a Christmas party with such a bounty of food -- smoked salmon, shrimp, authentic Italian meatballs, assorted cheeses... Then every month we get a delicious resident breakfast, with live music (Otto Avalos who plays at a restaurant on 5th Ave) and champagne -- seriously. There is a Super Bowl party with hamburgers and hotdogs. The apartments are immaculate, the pool is heated, gym, gorgeous landscaping, even a new patrol service though I have felt nothing but safe walking here day and night... Management works extremely hard and spares no cost throwing these socials to keep us happy. read more
