We were so relieved to see my Mom finally feeling better--free from the pain the cancer had caused. At her second post-op visit to remove the remaining stitches, I was shocked to see photos of the large hole left in her face. Given the size and location of the tumor, it wasn't entirely unexpected--but seeing the photos was overwhelming. The hole looked big enough to fit a golf ball in it! That's where Dr. Kaweski's incredible skills came in. Using skin from my Mom's own face, she was able to reconstruct and restore her appearance in a way that exceeded all our hopes. The transformation was nothing short of amazing. When I show people the "before" photo and then reveal how my Mom looks now, they're absolutely stunned. Not only is Dr. Kaweski a gifted plastic surgeon, but she and her entire office were also kind, compassionate, and supportive throughout the entire process. She is warm, personable, and clearly passionate about her work. The follow up visits have been wonderful too -- you can really tell what a caring and kind person she really is (besides being very good at reconstructive surgery!). I was specifically encouraged to include my neck in the treatment plan, but that area is where I am most disappointed with the outcome. The concerns I originally wanted to address, including sagging around my mouth and jawline, remain unchanged. Despite following through with the recommended treatment plan, I saw no noticeable lifting or tightening. I understand that results can vary from person to person, but based on my experience, this treatment was a complete waste of money. I wish I had been given more realistic expectations before investing so much time and money. I even received a text confirming the appointment, but when I arrived I was told I didn't actually have one because it hadn't been entered into the "correct" system. Today was even more confusing. I went for my next appointment and ended up being bounced between their old location and their new one with no guidance whatsoever. I thought the sign at the old location says the new location will open on March 19, which led me to believe they were still operating out of the old space. However, when I arrived the doors were locked. Apparently the new location was open as of January 19, but there was no clear communication or signage explaining where to go or what was actually happening when I went to the new location either. This was especially frustrating because I made my appointment around or shortly after the time they had moved and no one thought to tell me that I would need to go to a new location. (Maybe I'm expecting too much to be proactively informed that the office has moved after I've been going to the same office for eight years or so.) It's frustrating because this used to be a reliable place, but right now the lack of organization and communication makes it very difficult just to figure out where you're supposed to be.
