She left a few months ago and every time that I come here now and get a different lady, I'm literally just on the edge of my seat with lots of anxiety that they don't hate me and mess up my brows because I had a strong preference for my threader. They turn out fine most of the time, but I experience redness from the pressure they put on with the thread and constantly working on the same spot. It's a hit-or-miss place and it always hit when my favorite threader worked on me but now it's literally a gamble between hit or miss when I get thrown to the first available lady. Still, can't beat the $5 price for decent threading and they probably don't have any competition for that price point.

I've been growing my hair out for about a year and a half, and with my birthday coming up on the 20th I started looking for a spot, I found Astoria Beauty Bar. Who in your country believes in what you believe in" give me a break.. this is my second time coming.. the energy of this place was good in the beginning. Then I should her a few pictures if what I wanted which were highlights (honey golden blonde-dirty blondish coloring). mind you she convinced me the pictures were a ligjtwr shade when it was not. however I agreed on a color with her that was actually darker than the pictures. like a medium blonde. we went on into doing the bleaching. this lady goes over my hair 2-3 times with the bleach.. making it white. it took over 2 hours to wash out since she kept going over it, after the toner there was absolutely no difference but a orange pigment from my roots to my hair lights.. after all of this she brushes my wet and elastic blonde hair. This itself is a common practice with stylists to NOT brush wet bleached or freshly dyed hair. I had my hair breaking while it was brushed and she wasn't even gentle doing this.. In the end I told her I was unhappy and paid partial to the actual price. The color was wrong.. the breakage was severe.. Plus all the workers were laughing andchattering while this lady was yelling at my face calling me disgusting and a bad person because I didn't want to pay the full price for my hair damage lol. Dont visit if you want to be discriminated against. if you're young and pretty.. this salon is not for u. Mind tou my mom told me to pay partial.. its customers rights. bleaching took 1.5 hours Washing my hair in between took 2 hours Drying and brushing for 30 minutes I was here 10am-3:30pm
