I was introduced to this place a while ago at a Fighting Game Tournament held at the venue. I didn't realize it was an Internet venue, but later on visiting it again I was quite impressed with the overlay of the store. I've spent hours playing Guild Wars 2 at this Internet Venue with solid and smooth graphics through and through. I had quite some trouble getting the game to work on my own computer, Mac, and then even building a PC to play the game. Since the beginning the guys at Astoria Internet have been super informative, kind, and helpful in providing not only a quality service at the venue, but even tips and advice to help me to play the game. When I first experience lamentation that I couldnt play it, the guys installed it on all the high-end graphic computers so that I could play it. When I couldnt get it working on my laptop or Mac, they offered to repair them both and charge me significantly less than other computer repair stores. Even now, having built my computer they're still willing to help me with any issues I may have to get the game running from my home. I think any place that prides itself in customer service is a place worthy of going to. The venue has been re-painted and re-decorated giving it an even more casual yet elegant vibe. The employees sometimes go above and beyond to help customers. I had seen some make resumes for frequent customers and FAX and email them out to employers! They are always going the extra mile and that is worth more than gold. I can't say enough how this Internet venue isnt given the recognition it deserves. Unlike others that rob you of time, treat you like a stupid customer that doesnt know anything about computers, or just a waste of time Astoria Internet does something different in providing quality services, affordable pricing, and an awesome atmosphere. Finding the store is a little tricky. It's in a building attached to the train station on the 2nd floor. Currently the Train entrance from the street is close so you HAVE to go into the building and pass this venue before entering the station. read more

A few weeks ago I was searching for IT services in my area Astoria and I discovered Astoria Internet. Firstly, I chose to come here because Astoria Internet is very much accessible and convenient to where I live. Secondly, I read some of the reviews about this place before I made my decision to use their services and they were all highly rated reviews and for my first experience with Astoria Internet and dealing with Peter who is the owner of this place, I am highly pleased and not 100% satisfied but rather 1000% satisfied with his professionalism, his organizational behavior, fantastic customer service relation, his pleasant personality and Also he has a great support team that could assist you in an event Peter is not present. I would most definitely recommend Astoria and non- Astoria residents to do business with Astoria Internet. It is worth your while. Not forgetting to mention they offer the most affordable prices. My problem was that my laptop needed virus/malware removal, windows installation and wifi card diagnosis and Internet checkup. Peter said if I wanted the laptop next day I could have it, that's how fast they work. So convenient and efficient. After receiving my laptop I realized I was unable to print at home because I needed to install the printer software which I didn't have. However, when I called, Peter told me to bring the laptop and the model number of the printer and he will install it at no cost and gave me his personal printer cable to do my work because I couldn't find my own. He entrusted me with this cable after meeting me for the second time.....Peter I will continue to do business always with you because I am a happy customer and I can guarantee you too will be a happy customer when you walk out of there. In all my years living in New York City, I have never been met with the high level of customer service, expertise, personal care and attention as I received today from Astoria Internet. My computer was taking a ridiculous amount of time preparing a large file that needed immediate sending. I decided to pack my external with the info, and try Astoria Internet, with the hope that their computer would be faster. I arrived and was met with immediate attention by the cashier at the front of the store. I plugged in my external and was not able to find it on the desktop. Without hesitation, the cashier began to try troubleshooting with me and we were unable to resolve the problem. The owner, Pete, came in and we discovered that, unfortunately, my MAC external hard rice was not compatible with PCs. Initial disheartened and in a state of panic because I was on a deadline, I was at a loss. Pete, so kindly, informed me he had his own personal MAC computer with him, and was more than happy to let me send my work through his computer since his MAC computers had not yet arrived. That simple, but incredibly generous gesture was what won me. In a big city, like New York, it's easy to get lost in the crowd. At a place like Astoria Internet, you're made to feel like a member of a small town, community, where everyone knows and cares for their neighbor. Pete would repeatedly check in with his customers to make sure everything was running smoothly, he even had free baked goods available! All in all, after an hour plus of effort, my files were sent and reached their destination just in the knick of time, and I have the kindness and professionalism of Astoria Internet to thank for it. Got a referral from Stephy S. to go here to get my Dell laptop (that's almost a decade old) fixed. I didn't really care about the computer getting fixed; I just wanted the data on my hard drive. I called the store owner, beforehand to make an appt. and to get a quote on my laptop. I went in the next day, he immediately started working on my laptop. He was able to get the data off my computer onto dvds in about 2 hours, and found out I had dozens of viruses on it in the process. In the end after I got my dvds, I asked him what I should do with my Dell b/c yeah I got what I needed but the stupid thing wasn't booting up Windows correctly. He said he could buy my computer off of me, refurbish it, and potentially sell it again to someone who doesn't want to pay thousands for a laptop. Anyway, somehow, in the end we negotiated at $135 for my laptop, minus $70 to move the data on dvds, so I got only $60 bucks back . At first I was like whoa, only $60? But I looked into his eyes and asked him "Honestly, do you think I could get more for this laptop anywhere else?" He said he wouldn't lie to me, and no. And you know what? I'm a pretty good judge of character and I believed him. Besides, I wanted the durn laptop off my hands. I only paid $1000 for it, but that was like 7 years ago. I'm pretty sure it's worth crap now. I was tired of lugging that thing around from the 3 times I moved this past year. Plus, I already have a Sony Vaio so whatevs, I took the $60. read more

This review is for their computer repair services. I turned on my MacBook Pro one day and all I got was a blue screen. As I work in Long Island City and live in Astoria, I was hoping to find an alternative to bringing my laptop into the city. A quick Google search led me to this little cafe connected to the Ditmars Blvd subway station. I called and spoke to Pete who said they happily do repairs and I could bring my computer in anytime. I brought it in after work around 7, and even though Pete was leaving for the day, he took the time to look at it with me right then. After discussing the problem with him, he told me to call and check in the next day. Long story short, my hard drive was busted. Pete did data retrieval, hard drive replacement and OSX format and installation for an extremely extremely reasonable price, and he threw in some extras in as well. The work was done very quickly and he was very insistent that I should call if I had any problems at all. Very personable staff and quick work. Would happily recommend to anyone. read more

As stated in a previous review, "quick, cheap and easy" with excellent quality to boot . I am a professional working actor who needs to print resume's on the regular. They get it done and in a timely fashion and for pennies on the dollar when compared to Staples or some other copy center. Too, Astoria Internet now prints headshots on the spot (I was the guinea pig). Having been a client of headshot reproduction companies such as Modernage and Reproductions, I have shelled out a couple of hundred ducats for bulk prints/copies of headshots ranging from 50-200 in number which to this day I still have a couple of years of prints in possession, literally collecting dust. Astoria Internet offers a small amount of prints on the spot for quite the affordable fee which works for an "On the go; On the fly; On the budget" type of existence. I went here about a week ago with a computer that I thought was, for certain, dead. Peter was incredibly friendly when I walked in. At first, I heard him toss around the word "motherboard" which in my mind means the computer was done for. He wanted to check one more thing first (my memory stick or something...?). He popped a few screws out of the back, and found that one of the memory sticks (I'm not really technically savvy, obviously) was bad and that was causing my problem. When I asked how much I owed he responded, "I literally took out a few screws--don't worry about it"...some places would charge 45$ alone just for that. Been here a couple of times, and I really like the place. Great service, young, friendly staff, everyone's always attentive when I have an issue. It's super convenient - directly next to the train. I don't have a printer so it's helpful to be able to run here and print out anything that I need. I printed out some headshots and my resume here a couple of times and they helped out with the formatting. The interior is really cool, they recently renovated. There are bonsai trees lining the walls and nyc-inspired artwork. I always recommend the place to people for computer repairs - the prices are more than reasonable, they don't try to rip you off. All in all, great place to get things done, superb staff, and great setting. I'll be returning. read more

Astoria Internet is a place where you find what you want - individual attention and help! I brought my SONY VAIO laptop with a heating problem - it was heating to the point when the laptop simply shuts down. The noise of the fan was like the noise of an airplane. I got my laptop few hours later and now I can finally again hold my laptop in my lap. The noise is gone and the entire system runs much smoother. Peter was the guy to take care of my computer. Aside from cleaning the system, he also made some routine check ups and maintenance that got rid of some other issues that were bothering me. He also offered me what seemed a very reasonable price. Went to Peter (super nice guy) for computer repair. He was very professional and had it turned around within 48 hours. Problem was completely resolved, and it would have taken two weeks or more with the Geek Squad, while paying $$ for them just to look at it (and for it to be sent to some other state, and I didn't have the time or patience for that). Pete offered a few different solutions and informed thoroughly as to what the consequences and monetary investment for each solution would be, and I felt like I was able to make an informed decision while paying a decent price for the repair. Great place !! The owner is very knowledgeable and very helpful with all our printing needs. I own a tattoo shop so i'm always asking for different tone/brightness prints and images and trust me ...he is VERY patient too! He also helped us fixing our copier. The place is clean, welcoming and cozy with comfy big chairs. Very convenient as they are located right at the exit of Astoria Ditmars Blvd. train station. I've been going here for years! I have internet, laptop and desktop. I go here when I need a change of environment. I've been coming here since they opened and I've seen the turn over of their hired staff through the years, all very nice, professional people also the people who go there for gaming or whatever their reasons other thing. Stopped here on a whim for some copies and ended up staying! What a neat place. Very cool posters and wall art to complete the ambience. Fastest internet you could hope for and great programs on the computers to use. First class service. Excellence in computer repair. I ended up bringing my ipad in to fix the screen.
