I've seen two different guys working there and they are both kind and helpful. They've helped me with everything I needed - passport photos, printing, computers, and Amazon package pickups. Everything has been affordable and fairly priced, atleast by 2023 standards. Sometimes I forget this isn't 2008 and I fully understand how much costs have risen in order to keep businesses afloat. The location is so convenient too, I always stop by after work when I get off the train. Small businesses like these are the lifeblood and character of this city and neighborhood. Complete rip off. Went to print out 3 pages and based on the menu I owed around $1.80, when the total came out 3 times as high I asked the clerk why and he said because I used a computer to print it I was charged 4 dollars. There isn't an option for the clerk to print anything from a flash drive. This was never mentioned on their menu or by the employee. When I expressed shock that they would charge me 4 dollars for 30 seconds of computer time the clerk became rude and told "I just work here". Do not go here for anything because you never know what extra fees they are going to charge. Save your money, go to staples or literally anyplace else that doesn't have this stupid fee. read more

I came here maybe twice a few years ago and hated it ,so recently I had some work I needed to get done and my sister recommended we come here but I told her how I hated this place and it was dirty , she told me that it was under new management and they are great now , boy am I happy I listened to her ! Fantastic Internet cafe. When I visit Astoria I'm 9/10 away from reliable source of internet and games. I always swing by here to fill my evening with my gaming fix. They're super affordable and the computers function well enough to play all the games I need. The decor is also very nice, I loved all the framed gaming illustrations. My desktop went down on a Saturday night. Infuriatingly, it seemed to be a hardware issue rather than a software issue. Sunday came and I frantically looked for a computer repair shop relatively close as I knew lugging my tower around the NYC subway system was going to be no fun at all. Thank god the closest thing to me that was open was Astoria Internet. I was a little hesitant at first. Computer repair was listed....but it looked like an internet cafe. I also vaguely remember seeing the sign on the Ditmars subway stop. What the heck I thought and called them anyway. Best. Choice. Ever. I explained the problem to the owner over the phone, and he offered to walk me through my problem free of charge. Sadly It was a little too complex so I had to bring it in to the store. The physical plant is not the prettiest, but its the first proper internet cafe I've been to in NYC. It felt like being in Europe again. Row banks of computers. People working, playing video games, just checking the internet. A supply of sodas, a coffee machine and some snacks. During my repair process I talked to the owner and he talked about wanting to expand and turn it more into a cafe / hang out spot. It sounded pretty cool. But back to my story - turns out my computer is far more complicated then I ever knew. I was going to have to get a replacement part. Because the staff is truly invested and interested in their jobs, beside the cost of the part, they said they would pretty much take care of it for free, as they had never installed anything like my cooling unit. I agreed, we chatted for a little while longer, and they told me they would call me the next day when it was done. Two hours later my phone rings. Turns out they fixed the problem without needing a new part. A little bit of fiddling and they had solved it. Not only is my computer running again, but the performance has seemingly increased. The best part? It only cost 15 bucks. I can only imagine the arm and the leg it would have cost me at a bigger store. I know if in the future if I have any kind of computer problem, or I am going to build a computer from scratch I would go and talk to them first. I know having now looked at their prices all my future faxing will be done there. If I didn't have a printer I would do all my scanning and printing there. These guys deserve far more recognition. read more

Went today...for a dollar I got 4 page prints included with my 15 minutes of computer time. You see, the idiots at the Steinway Branch of the QPL didn't fix the printer...apparently they don't know how...the same way they don't know how to do ANYTHING. But one librarian was sweet enough to point me here, where the computers are ultra fast, the printer is working and stocked with paper and the attendant was sweet. read more

This little Internet cafe, that is up the stairs on the Ditmars Blvd train stop, is a great little spot to get important work done, quietly. Peter the guy who either works there or owns it I'm not sure is really nice and extremely helpful. Compared to Copycom down the block its also way more economical. Sometimes I'm there for hours without even realizing it, and I would think it's going to get so expensive and it doesn't. Besides having computers and any kind of printers imaginable, they also have drinks, coffee and snacks that are all very cheap. I used this place recently to get a replacement screen for my laptop, as my old screen got broken when my cats walked on top of my slightly-ajar laptop cover when I had stepped out of the room. Net, net, Astoria Internet did what I needed (replaced the screen), and on top of that, Peter figured out how to fix a problem I'd had going back 6 years, where I could no longer use Outlook to send emaiils. I think it took almost three weeks for them to simply get the new part and replace my laptop screen, and I was told that it was due to a number of snafus with delivery by the Post Office. And Peter was good enough to take 1/3 off the total price because of that. However I can still only give them 4 stars out of 5 as they were not very pro-active in communicating the delays to me in the first place. I had to repeatedly pick up the phone and call them to find out the status of my new laptop screen. It would have been better if, instead of remaining silent, they had the impetus to pick up the phone themselves and call me, each time they realized that the new laptop screen on order was yet again delayed in arriving to their office. read more

A small location, packed with computers, Astoria Internet is a pretty basic internet cafe. No fancy shmancy coffee, or food, or couches... What they do have are computers hooked up to the internet. For $2 per half hour, you can use one. You can also print from it (although, I'm not sure what the cost is). In addition, this business offers computer repair at very reasonable prices. Thomas worked his magic on my virus-infected laptop. In two days, he had it all cleaned up, and didn't lose any of my files! For about a quarter of what the Geek Squad was going to charge, Thomas performed virus removal and necessary updates. He also recommended a better anti-virus and set me up with a free trial. He updated me halfway through the process (understanding, I am sure, how attached people can be to their computers). Overall, I was very happy with my experience with Astoria Internet. I hope I do not have to return for more computer repair, but would if I needed to. read more

I have been a long time customer at the Internet Cafe and have always been pleased with the services they provide. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. On a recent visit to the cafe, I was greeted by a disinterested, disgruntled employee who was not wearing a mask or gloves. The computer I signed onto was running very slow with pop-ups and messages from Opera. I had difficulty accessing the site that I needed. I brought this to his attention and he shrugged, said that Apple was invading all the computers, and left to smoke a cigarette. When I tried to print I received a message "unable to print due to technical difficulties". When he returned I was waiting by the counter, I told him I had signed off because of the problems I was encountering. He replied "That's Apple. $4.00." I paid and left. Probably one of the most personable internet cafe's in Astoria. I work in film production and don't have a printer at home. I do all my printing at this spot. Not only is it affordable but each time I've needed something from the awesome staff, they've been there to help me. I had a film script which needed to be translated and it Pete took care of it for me. I also email them documents for them to print and they are ready for me to pick up which saves me a lot of time. Looks like a nice place to use the internet, but don't go here if you only need to print a few pages. Even if you bring the documents on flash drive, they won't print the docs for you. Instead, you have to pay the $3 minimum to use a computer plus any printing fees. So I ended up paying $3.20 to print a single page (with about 1 minute of computer time). read more

I've gone here for two years (give or take). The staff and the owner, Peter, were all very respectful and kept noise to a minimum, and the atmosphere was very work oriented. That made this place a great getaway from home, for the average Joe needing to do work. Coming back here as of recently, I have had a change of attitude. The gamers are loud in the back (which is fine), but the staff (two teenage boys of Wednesdays and Thursdays) refuse to address it. One of them even insists on going to the gaming places while working, which causes this systematic failure of attending to the front area; where I'll notice someone walk in (while the worker is in the back), wait until the worker runs to the front to then take their money, and repeat. Not my place to address this to them, but common courtesy should have some bearing on work ethic. Place was good, needs to return to its glory. Still definitely recommend, very well kept, not too populated but not a dead zone, a VARIETY of services offered (they fax too!), just bring a good pair of earbuds! read more

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law are visiting from Spain and just went there to make copies of their airline tickets. It came to $5.60 total and they did not understand that they had to pay $4 just to walk in and use their equipment. They handed him $1.60 and he stashed the dollar and asked for $5 more. They tried to explain to him that they already gave him a dollar and gave $4 more. He actually took out the 60 cents to try and fool them that they didn't give him that first dollar. A few days ago my computer was infected with the "FBI virus". I was unable to use my computer and had no idea how to fix it, but found that many local repair places as well as larger ones (like Best Buy) had mixed reviews and charged a fortune. Peter removed the virus from my computer and installed an anti-virus program for $45. My computer was ready the next day and is now virus-free and working well! Here I am thinking I am going to get greeted by some fat, nerdy computer geek, but imagine my surprise when I see a young, attractive guy named Peter who was willing to help me with my issue right away. I already saw that there were multiple laptops behind him that needed fixing and he was still able to fix my laptop in only a day. He was so friendly to me. He was clear and upfront about every question that I had and did I forget to mention that he was cute?? The pricing wasn't bad also. It is located inside the subway stop at Ditmars (last stop on N/W), and is clean and well maintained, and the employee was very friendly. They wrote back with the most unprofessional email back saying "under 18 not allowed here" and told me to stop emailing after they wouldn't respond my other two emails that I sent two weeks apart. This place has changed for the better. Remembered it back when it had an old name with another owner. Now, it's not only more organized, it's a heck of a business. -Great customer service. Professional, fast service, simple but smart food selection, and of course their computers don't play. -Great selection of programs for any use- play/game/chat/browse/etc. Even took it for a spin run with Diablo 3 a while ago and it didn't dissapoint at all. Pity I finished the game and went with others down the road. The other computer games I'll have to test out as I'm a fan of Warframe/Defiance/Marvel Heroes/Project AX/Aura Kingdom/etc. Otherwise, you bet these games will play without failure. -Knowledge of programs/software/hardware/etc. is a plus. You HAVE to do your homework before you ask questions to anybody. These guys are on point whenever you have a problem. -Repairs are reasonably priced. Any problem from software updates to reformatting computer with the basic stuff for you and your family, they'll solve it without robbing you clean. -Peter's a long time friend of mine. He can def whip you up a cup of Joe while helping you on your game in LoL anyday. The multitasking this guy does is out of this world. Highly recommend this place to anyone.
