Packed and crrrrrrazy! Shouldn't have gone on a Saturday. There were so many children flying, flipping, falling, flopping, and flailing on their skates. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack lol I couldn't truly enjoy myself because the floor was chaotic. Absolutely chaotic. They had staff members out there skating, but the only thing they seem to really be paying attention to stopping, was people who decided to lean on the walls while they were on the rank. People were still skating fast, backward, and recklessly all around us. I love the vibe. The glow in the dark retro feel was nice. I'll just have to go back during a time where it's not so crazy and I can actually enjoy myself. We paid $46 to skate for one hour and I was ready to go after the first five minutes. Another review giving it to you straight no chaser! Enjoy!

We absolutely love coming to Astro Skate! With two boys that love roller blading, it's actually the only roller skating rink nearby. This location has quad or inline options, its own skate shop, and an arcade. On both occasions we've visited, they play great music and have games for the kids to play while they're skating.

Came in today for a field trip with my kids school. The staff was absolutely AMAZING! The young lady that was in the rink with the kids (pregnancy brain I can't remember) was wonderful! She had so much patience with my son and helped him skate. I will be back with them soon! My kids had an absolute bla

The best skating place in West Palm Beach! Astro Skate is located in Greenacres, FL, and is very spacious inside. Parking can be a bit iffy when it gets full because you have to park on the grass. I would also point out that there are a lot of young drivers, so be very careful when pulling in and out of the parking lot. Once you are settled with your parking and walk towards the front, you are presented with a waiver to sign. The prices for skating are very affordable ($15 for entry + skates, $11 for entry with your own skates). After you submit your waiver, you pay for your ticket and then go through a detector and bag check if applied. These are some of the safety measures that they take while also having police on-site the entire time. After all of this is done, you enter into the actual skating rink! The inside of the building is very cold, which is good because when you're skating, you get hot quickly. I have come here multiple times with friends and family members, so I was familiar with where to go. There's a stand where you can get skates; you exchange your shoes for their skates. Their skates are pretty sturdy and fit well according to your shoe size. I liked using their skates before I got my personal skates. The skating rink flooring, for the most part, is smooth until you reach a certain point on the side that's humpy; I try to avoid this part whenever I am skating. There's also a training section where you can practice your skating skills before going onto the main rink. I like this section because it makes practicing easier and less scary in terms of falling or getting trampled by other skaters. The cafe seems pretty okay, but I have not tried the food from there yet. Overall, this is a great place to come for a weekend event with friends and family or even a birthday party. Also, the skate sessions are broken up, so there's time for everyone, whether it's kids hour, teen hour, or adult hour.

It's easily accessible and there is a large parking lot. The first thing you see when entering the park are these majestic trees. These huge, tall banyan ficus are grouped together in a grove. Their extending roots and extra trunks appear to be a throw back to another era. Based on the age of the park, itself, we know they are at least 70 something years old. In one of my photos. I stood at the base of one tree so you can get a perspective of how tall these trees are. These trees alone are a reason to visit. Of course, if you are sports minded, there are courts for basketball, soccer, tennis, and pickleball. There's a separate skate boarding park newly revised this year. Plus a playground, exercise/walking trail, pavilions, and picnic areas. And the separate baseball section (see other Yelp listing). In between all the wonderful sports court areas are lovely green swaths of grass. Overall, this is a beautiful park packed with possibilities. I'm so glad I found it and visited here.

Whatever outdoor recreation you favor, you can find it in this area. If you have a shorter amount of time I would recommend Freedom Park over Okeeheelee. There is still plenty to do here at Freedom Park. My favorite part of this park is the exercise path that runs along the perimeter of scenic wetlands that attract common moorhens, ducks, and egrets. There is even outdoor exercise machines for more cardio and muscle building. This part of the park is perfect for nature lovers. For children ,there is a really colorful and fun covered playground area, a bankshot basketball court, and a storywalk that has different stations that brings together the joy of reading and being outdoors. Stations are installed along trails and children and their families can stop and read and ask and answer questions. Storywalks like this one promote literacy and outdoor exercise while fostering family bonding. Other park amenities include restrooms, a lighted soccer field, concession area, grills, picnic shelter, and a popular pickleball court. One of the standouts of this park is how spacious it feels which allows room for events, parties, and sports. The park is cleaned and well maintained with ample parking. This is the kind of park that will equally appeal to those looking for a peaceful place to unwind as well as those looking to be active. With a wide range of activities available for residents and visitors, there is something for all ages to enjoy.

It was formerly called pinehurst park due to the street it's located on. The street is west of and parallels Jog Road, but it is a quieter less developed drive lined with pine trees. It's a perfect preliminary and pretty bit of nature -- before you enter the park. There are quite a number of facilities at the park including several athletic/soccer fields (4?), picnic pavilions (available for rent), a children's playground that has a rain cover, a colorful basketball court (for kids) with nets of all different heights, benches, walking paths (a parkour), and pickle ball courts. And I've probably missed a few... You can be as active as you'd like, or just sit and relax and watch the water or enjoy nature. I'm definitely coming back here when I have more time.
