I've visited twice as a teacher chaperone with my school and once as a parent, for a birthday party. As a teacher chaperone, we had the entire place to ourselves. Everything was very well planned and coordinated. Students, parents, and staff had a great time. Fun activies for the kids were planned and executed, which included students with rollerblading experience and those without. All felt included and enjoyed their time skating. As a parent of a child attending a birthday party on a weekend night, I was able to enjoy myself and felt the kiddos enjoy themselves on a off the rollerblading floor! We love their games, music, and the fact that they have pizza and other food items available for a decent price. You're welcome to bring your own skates or rollerblades if you have them. Soooooo, my daughter had some tickets for free entry that she got when her summer camp visited Astro. On the bottom of the card it CLEARLY states that it is valid until the last Sunday of August. We get there on the last Saturday (yesterday) of August with her and her friends and we're told we cannot use the tickets because school already started...I told the young lady that the ticket is very clear and she proceeded to tell me that it's no longer summer since school already started. (The ticket should have said it is valid until school starts) I said okay and she continued to tell me that her boss said.. I told her it wasn't even worth explaining but it is false advertising. I was aggravated but wasn't going to penalize the children because of it. You have to do better, Astro! read more

Packed and crrrrrrazy! Shouldn't have gone on a Saturday. There were so many children flying, flipping, falling, flopping, and flailing on their skates. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack lol I couldn't truly enjoy myself because the floor was chaotic. Absolutely chaotic. They had staff members out there skating, but the only thing they seem to really be paying attention to stopping, was people who decided to lean on the walls while they were on the rank. People were still skating fast, backward, and recklessly all around us. I love the vibe. The glow in the dark retro feel was nice. I'll just have to go back during a time where it's not so crazy and I can actually enjoy myself. We paid $46 to skate for one hour and I was ready to go after the first five minutes. This skating rink doesn't seem to have changed much since I was a kid. It's a giant warehouse. The entrance process is ridiculous: a line snakes out of the building, through the parking lot, with no signage or info on why you're standing there, in the rain and wind with cars passing by, restless teenagers, little kids, parents, etc. This line also including people waiting to go to birthday parties... holding birthday gifts and balloons, etc. It's very awkward and disconcerting to spend one's initial experience without any contact from the biz and no signage or explanation. Standing in a line already sucks, but standing in one without knowing why or if you are in the right line, really sucks. Finally getting inside, again little signage, people signing electronic waivers (we couldn't have done that in line?), confusing info. Once inside, it's just mayhem. Carpet, rink, no windows, a dj playing music. My one kid who decided to try skating had a blast - I had to accompany him to help him as he had never skated before, and all the props for helping new skaters were gone. Attending the birthday party experience, it seemed short and chaotic, but it is definitely a kid-centric experience at a long table with no private room. read more

We had such a fun time! The kids had a blast roller skating, and they loved the extra entertainment in between like a mascot handing out balloons and age group races on the rink. Came here for the first time for a birthday party. At the entrance, the gentleman was by the door and asked us the reason for our visit. We said, birthday party for so and so. He gave us two green raffle tickets for the skate rentals but didn't inform us where to go inside or even where our party was. I think the employee outside should inform us where we can find the birthday table and where to go for skate rentals. Overall we had a good time, but there was no real organization. I didn't know where to rent skates. My kids never skated before and by the time we got there, the trainers were all occupied. You had to get a wristband before you rent out a trainer skater. Awful management and service. Tried to have a birthday party for 12 year old my daughter. No service, drinks, or food, 1 hour into party, at 1.5 hours in, I went to the snack counter to inquire how much longer until we would get the food we had ordered at time of arrival. After rolling her eyes at my question, our assigned "waitress" said "it's in the oven" and walked away from the counter. I went back to our table and a few minutes later she rudely tosses a single Pizza at our table and leaves. There are no serving utensils leaving us no way to give any kids any pizza without touching every single slice. About 20 minutes later she comes back with another cheese pizza, I say, politely, that we'd really like a pepperoni pizza as ordered, and this young person starts screaming at me that "you only get cheese, you only get cheese, you want pepperoni you need to pay for that". I tried to explain to her that we ordered pepperoni pizza and that we had already paid for upgrades including drinks, it would be no problem to pay additional for a single topping and then she proceeded to tell me that: we don't get pepperoni her manager has made a decision that because we ordered cheese and pepperoni we only got cheese and if I didn't like it "I could take it up with her manager". I then tried to talk to a manager. The only thing I wanted, was a less rude waitress and a single pepperoni pizza for our party. After waiting over 45 minutes to speak to the manager who was on her personal cell phone the majority of that time, I was told they would do nothing, and if I didn't like it I could leave. This is after paying over $250 for this birthday party. Every single one of the pairs of skates that my children tried to wear had something wrong with them, they all need a new shoelaces they were impossible to tie, the skates had wobbly wheels and non-existent stoppers on them. The staff is incredibly rude, the management does not give a flying flip about their customers, and there's lots of other places to have birthday parties that doesn't end up in a teenager screaming at you over a few slices of pepperoni. If you want to have an enjoyable birthday party for your family I would highly recommend spending your money anywhere else but here. We sure will be. read more

We absolutely love coming to Astro Skate! With two boys that love roller blading, it's actually the only roller skating rink nearby. This location has quad or inline options, its own skate shop, and an arcade. On both occasions we've visited, they play great music and have games for the kids to play while they're skating. read more

The best skating place in West Palm Beach! Astro Skate is located in Greenacres, FL, and is very spacious inside. Parking can be a bit iffy when it gets full because you have to park on the grass. I would also point out that there are a lot of young drivers, so be very careful when pulling in and out of the parking lot. Once you are settled with your parking and walk towards the front, you are presented with a waiver to sign. The prices for skating are very affordable ($15 for entry + skates, $11 for entry with your own skates). After you submit your waiver, you pay for your ticket and then go through a detector and bag check if applied. These are some of the safety measures that they take while also having police on-site the entire time. After all of this is done, you enter into the actual skating rink! The inside of the building is very cold, which is good because when you're skating, you get hot quickly. I have come here multiple times with friends and family members, so I was familiar with where to go. There's a stand where you can get skates; you exchange your shoes for their skates. Their skates are pretty sturdy and fit well according to your shoe size. I liked using their skates before I got my personal skates. The skating rink flooring, for the most part, is smooth until you reach a certain point on the side that's humpy; I try to avoid this part whenever I am skating. There's also a training section where you can practice your skating skills before going onto the main rink. I like this section because it makes practicing easier and less scary in terms of falling or getting trampled by other skaters. The cafe seems pretty okay, but I have not tried the food from there yet. Overall, this is a great place to come for a weekend event with friends and family or even a birthday party. Also, the skate sessions are broken up, so there's time for everyone, whether it's kids hour, teen hour, or adult hour. read more

If you remember the old place this is a newer/fresher look and feel. I have to warn you that it is COLD in there! I get it since so much body heat is happening but if you're not skating, bring a jacket! Good amount of space for everyone to have a good time and upbeat atmosphere. Skate rental area is efficient and gets them on their way quickly. They have the trade system; so, you give shoes they give skates! We did not eat there but many around us did and looked like typical pizza and such at a place like this. Video games for prizes were interesting touch as many were playing as well. Good sitting space as there were many long benches and most people were very polite as they're skating around as well. $15 for roller skates and bit extra for inline from 12-5 was a really good deal. They even had some races for the different age groups to make it more enjoyable for all to watch. Definitely would come again! read more

When it first opened it was clean and nice. It's already filthy, bathrooms smell and haven't been cleaned (ever?) employees are some of the rudest people I've ever met, female manager is rude and disrespectful. Rude to children and adults alike. Employees rolled eyes when asked a question. Skate floor also already has major water damage making it very hard and unsafe to skate over. Sad to see such a nice place go to this way so soon. read more

I have not been to this skating rink since it opened back up. I was excited to go because I have so many memories of going to Atlantis as a child. We arrived and purchased our tickets with no problem. I was wearing Tory Burch slides. They accepted my slides with no problem in exchange for skates. My other friend was wearing Gucci slides and they told him they were not going to accept his slides because they were designer! So basically he couldn't skate. They then called me back over (after I already had my skates on) and told me they needed the skates back because I have designer shoes (WHICH THEY ALREADY ACCEPTED). When we looked on the wall with all the other shoes of people you received skates, there were Christian diors, Yeezys and Jordan's etc. So we were confused as to why we were the only ones being turned away when they had already accepted so many "expensive shoes." We requested a manager and that's when the general manager approached, I believe her name was Diana. She was extremely rude and did not know the value of customer service. She was very argumentative from the very start. As a person in her position she should be understanding and approach with a solution instead of an attitude. There was NO WHERE that it said they did not accept expensive shoes. The sign clearly said "they recommend that we don't wear them and they are not responsible for anything being stolen" which was okay with us. If they are going to enforce a rule it needs to clearly state that. For example "WE DO NOT ACCEPT EXPENSIVE SHOES" (which it did not say) Needless to say Diana (the general manager) ruined the whole experience and night for us with her nasty spirit. She could use further education on the importance of customer Service. read more
