I had a quite unpleasant experience with this place. I repaired my bike here and was charged 71.19 dollars altogether for labor and a new bike derailleur. I got a call on Dec. 5th from the bike barn, saying that my bike was ready. I paid my money and took my bike away on Dec. 6th, 2019. Then I discovered that the bike made loud noise and was not working properly. I wanted to take it back for check but Bike Barn was closed during the winter break. Urgently needing to use my bike to get around in Davis, I managed to fix it at another bike shop and was told that the new derailleur they sold to me was not compatible with my bike. When I went back to the Bike Barn asking for a refund, I was told that it was not possible because I did not keep my receipt. After I insisted and I managed to find the bank record that showed that I was charged by them for the repair and the new part, and they also found my record in their card deck, I was refunded 58.32 dollars for everything, which was fair enough to me. But overall the experience is less than satisfying, and I found the staff whom I talked to was able to stick to rules very well but seemed to be not very understanding of my specific situation. While I understand the bike barn's policy and acknowledge my own negligence in the whole process, my lesson from this is for everyone to keep their receipt till they are sure that their bike is working.

We bought a used bike on June 22, 2023 and Oscar did extra to ensure we had a cost effective but well functioning bike, need supplies (headlights and lock) and a map of Davis.

No way could I have done this on my own. I ordered new pedals and he came back to install them. He was super helpful and knowledgable and I would be riding in cages if it weren't for him!

My white ebike with batteries and chargers and extra wheel replacements and cleaning supply box. 105 E St Suite 2C Davis CA 95616 I was given a small slip of paper with a ticket number on it AS the receipt to "prove" I'd given it to him. As the mobile bike road repair man who owns his own business I didn't mind too much. But a year is a long time, so I asked for the bike back. He said "sorry it was JUST stolen". But ...Aaron didn't inform me until I ASKED. When I asked for some sort of reimbursement, Aaron said a potential customer had tested the bike...during the test ride- this unknown customer had gone in for a bubble tea. The bike was stolen during that stop, but the customer promised to pay $450 (Aaron told me the $450 had been received...) As the go-between I asked him to pay me this at least for my very expensive bike. He didn't answer. I asked for $400. He didn't answer. I waited and asked again... he didn't answer. I called the shop... I'm dissatisfied and disappointed with the service if it means that's the store. If not, then perhaps someone used your identity as a mobile repairman??? However I have verified online that this is the owner of Apex cycle and Kaiju BJJ ACADEMY.... If that's true I'm wondering about my bike or money thanks

I came here to have the derailleur adjusted because the chain on a new bike I bought for my son keeps coming off when shifting. One quick look the guy (can't remember his name, but is a Filipino guy) at the shop noticed the chain was too long and needed to be cut. I believe that was $5 to do and then the to adjust the derailleur, it was going to cost $30 ($35 total). He said to leave the bike there and he will call later when it is completed. I decided to go grab some lunch while I waited for the bike to be completed. He called a couple hours later and said the bike was done and ready to be picked up. When I arrived he said the chain was bent in a spot, so those were the links he removed. He also said one of the adjustments on the derailleur was broken as the derailleur that came with the bike was cheap. He also made a few other adjustment to the bike for free which was greatly appreciated. If you need to purchase a used bike, need some adjustments on your bike or need to fix/replace any parts, Green Bicycle Depot is a great place for budget price.
