We were traveling in our 35' motor home from South Bend, Indiana toward the Chicago area on a Friday near the end of July 2017. The day before we noticed the transmission not upshifting properly and decided to have a Ford (it has a Ford V-10 engine) truck shop look at it. The closest shop recommended AC Transmission. We pulled into AC Transmission at approximately 10AM and talked with Tony the owner. He painted a glum picture after his men checked out the transmission and said we could possibly be back on the road the following Tuesday! We had to get my wife's brother and his wife back to Iowa where we'd met them two weeks prior, and we had to do it ASAP for them to be back home by the following Monday. After frantically arranging for a rental car, the wives began packing up all the clothes, etc., but little did they know they were being raised off the ground by the lift in the shop! In the meantime, Tony approached me and said that just maybe they could get us back on the road by the afternoon - amazing. He even loaned us his errand car to go out to get something to eat while they did the work. By 3:00PM the work was finished and we were ready to get back on the road. Oh yeah, the wives had been returned to earth after we contacted them via cell phone! But Tony and company were our saviors for the day and we are forever indebted to him and his crew. A repaired transmission in a 10 ton vehicle is no easy task. When we were leaving several of his workers came out to wish us fair voyage for the rest of our trip. What a touch. My friend also has a foreign car like myself and said that Timo's wonderful team of professionals are experts for all types of vehicles but with a slight specialization in foreign cars. It's very hard for me to just trust any mechanic with my car just because that's my baby and I always feel like no one will take care or love my vehicle like I will. Although it was a long ride from my home, the car ride was worth it as soon as I met Timo. He immediately diagnosed my car and said I needed to replace/fix my MAP Pressure sensor, thermostat, water pump and sway bar link. Imagine all the dollar signs that flashes before my eyes! Just kidding, he was actually very reasonably priced. Timo also sat down with me and explained the cost of each part to repair and also how much the labor would cost. He also advised me to compare prices but as I previously mentioned, peace of mind is very important to me and knowing that my car is in good and trustworthy hands, I decided to just go ahead and have him repair my vehicle. I really appreciated that he told me right away what was wrong, no beating around the bush and saying it might be this or it might be that, as previous mechanics have advised me. Due to the fact that my car is a BMW, Timo told me in advance that it may take about a week to repair my car because he needed to order specific parts that not every parts shop has. Timo sent me status updates here and there and most importantly, he answered his phone when I called him! A week later, I got my car back and it drives like brand new and I couldnt ask for a more reasonable price! Two weeks after my repair, I was involved in a car accident and my car was towed to Timo's for repairs yet again. Timo's team looked at the damage on my car, sent an estimate of repair to my insurance and kept me posted on the status of my car at all times. This time the exterior of the car was significantly impacted and some damage to the engine but Timo worked very diligently to get it repaired as quickly as possible. He kept in touch with the insurance companies in regards to the estimate of repairs so that I didn't have to. Honestly, this was such a relief because I didn't have to go back and forth between the two. Due to the fact that insurance companies were involved and specific foreign parts had to be ordered, it took about two weeks for my car to be fixed. However, I went into the repair process knowing that it would take longer this time around since payment for the repairs wasn't not dependent on me but the insurance company. ONLY , if i could have listened to my gut feeling none of this shit, would have happens . When i got my car back after the two hours inspection. The sheet. was not what I inspected. The first thing he told me was that my car was leaking oil. . When i pulled off , and drove less than 3 blocks . I begin to smell oil. Come to find out they drain all my oil out. I am a cdl driver. And I checked my oil regularly. And there has been no oil leak to my car. I immediately call the shop and the manager just lied , so that they can get free government money and take advantage of the community cars for care programs grants. Because, their business has gone down due to neglect and poor service, bad business and maintenance. I use to come here for years when they was under a different management. PLEASE PEOPLES,,Don't bring your car here. Now i have to find someone to fixed their freaking mistake to my suv. Im reporting them to the better business bureau. He replaced both, topped off the radiator, and even noticed and fixed a few other minor issues--including adjusting the idle and making a quick repair to the carburetor. He worked quickly, efficiently, and with genuine care. In less than an hour, my Chevelle was running beautifully again--and he only charged me $200. Honest, trustworthy, and incredibly skilled, this gentleman is everything you hope to find in a mechanic but rarely do.
