Cool spot to walk around, take pics, eat. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Would go back next time I'm in the area.

LOL, when you run into "the leadership"--great to meet AT&T's Chairman & CEO, John Stankey!!

Downtown Dallas has a few gems, and AT&T Discovery District is definitely one of them. It's a cool space...modern, open-air, and designed to bring people together. Think: a little tech-forward, a little artsy, and surprisingly chill. Food enthusiasts will appreciate The Exchange, a large food hall featuring 13 eateries and 2 bars at last count. It's a standout if you're hungry, with lots of options--whether you're in the mood for sushi, burgers, mediterranean, tacos, or just a drink and some people-watching. It's clean, organized, and doesn't feel overwhelming, even when busy. There's a big outdoor plaza (aka "The District") that often hosts events, live music, fitness classes, and vendor pop-ups. I've seen folks doing Yoga, Karaoke Happy Hours, or watching outdoor movies...very cool stuff! It's worth checking the schedule if you want to catch something extra. This is also the headquarters of AT&T, so don't be surprised if you cross paths with John Stankey, the Chairman and CEO of AT&T, he works just upstairs LOL! Pro Tips: -Grab food inside, then snag a spot outside if the weather's nice. -If you're into photography, the 104-foot-tall Media Wall and the mesmerizing 30-foot-tall Globe sculpture make great backdrops. -Parking downtown can be hit or miss, so keep that in mind. It might not be an everyday destination for most folks, but it's a great option when you want something lively and easy to enjoy. Happy Exploring!

Nice outing with family. There's outdoor games like corn hole and giant connect four to play for the public. Not much to do but sit around and people watch and eat. We came, we saw, and we conquered.

My colleague and I were walking through and I was pointing out the different restaurants and activities they offer. We were pleasantly greeted by the grounds security. The area was in the middle of a power wash when we were walking by a giant connect 4 game in the middle of the lawn.

The AT&T Discovery District is hands down the best place in Dallas! Located in the bustling financial district, it feels extremely safe and well-maintained. The area is impeccably clean, making it a pleasant spot to relax. I enjoyed sitting down with my coffee and a croissant, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere. Additionally, the AT&T building offers a fantastic free immersive experience that is definitely worth checking out. Overall, whether you're looking to unwind or explore, the AT&T Discovery District is a must-visit destination in Dallas! Also very beautiful at night.

It's . . . fine. Compared to other large city's public hubs, this is a commercialized money grab. BUT. for Dallas, it's ok. There are a few fun neon signs, a giant gold statue that makes for great instagram photos, as well as a Times Square type screen and a few other photo-worthy ops. There are multiple seating areas, with chairs, tables, and benches. There are several restaurants and retail outlets. This is not a destination. I wouldn't have made a side trip here . . . it just happens to be close to Dealey plaza, the Pegasus sign at the Omni, and the book depository. It's also only just over a mile from Deep Ellum, though that's a lot longer in reality than on paper when it's nearing 90 degrees. Worth a walk-through. But if you don't live here, it's nothing stellar or mind-blowing.

Stumbled upon this area today on our downtown Dallas walk. Part off the walkway is closed off for pedestrians only on Jackson for a block or so. Could see this area getting busy on a warm sunny day. It was colder, windy and Thanksgiving today. Could use some shading and trees. The Christmas tree is nice. Big silver ball ornaments that are bigger than my hand.

Nice, safe, and pleasant spot to relax downtown outside. Art and furniture. Media wall. Upscale food court and bar. Live music sometimes. Not a place to seek out but rather to happen upon and enjoy for us.

This is area is super cute to visit. They had this cool vday display up. Lots of eating areas as well. So much security that I never felt unsafe in downtown

The only discovery made here was that AT&T Discovery District is definitely not worthy of these raving reviews because let's be real here what even is the appeal? No, really someone please explain it to me because I saw a few TikTok's recommending this place. Well anyway, for those of us apparently not in the "know" of this gem I hope you like AstroTurf and patio furniture because besides the terrified AT&T employees scurrying to their cars clutching their bags in fear of not just the swarms of precious outdoor angels but of us, the wandering tourists, that's all you're gonna get. You can choose to brave the city, should you be so bold. But all that awaits you is some "stuff" maybe some restaurants? A store? A weird half empty building attached to a lobby to a high rise apartment. Now to end this open faced compliment sandwich. They offer free parking with validation from the bar at the exchange which is a single story food hall thing that's got a decent variety of food options but that deserves a review of its own.

Since it was right across from our hotel, we had to check out the AT&T Discovery District. The area offers a few shops, restaurants, and of course plenty of AT&T work buildings. Plenty of places to lounge around as well. Would be perfect to bring your laptop and get some work done.

Amazing place to relax, enjoy, and chill! Sit outside or dine in one of the restaurants! Love that this place always has some sort of live entertainment! It's always been a vibe! Safe, clean, and upkeep is on point! Street parking, ensure to pay ...! Drinks and food can be taken from the restaurants to the lawn area! If coming for a concert, bring your lawn chairs or blankets to sit on! Enjoy!

AT&T Discovery District is a pedestrian greenspace downtown in the middle of a complex of AT&T buildings. A multistory TV screen which AT&T uses to display advertisements and videos towers over the space. There's ample tables and seating, and fountains and art installations make it a pleasant space. When I visited on the weekend, it was filled with families and young children enjoying running around. There were a number of security guards too which I think was appropriate for its downtown location. The Exchange food hall is in the center of this space, so you can grab a bite to eat there and then enjoy your food outside. There's also a public restroom inside The Exchange, so I recommend that if you're needing a pitstop downtown.

The Tower looked like a lollipop and was only 20 mins walk from our hotel. At one point we found ourselves on the train tracks and could see the Tower but couldn't quite see how to get there as there was no signage or directions. Eventually, we had to walk around and go under a bridge to get to the other side and walked towards the Tower. Even the entrance had no signage. It did have the name of the restaurant Crown Block and also Hyatt Hotel but nothing about the Tower. Anyway, we walked in and went downstairs. Tickets were $19 and can be bought from the kiosks. As we walked to the line, you get to have your photo taken with a green screen. There are props you can use on the right counter if needed. In the elevator you can see outside as you are going up. I just wished the glass was facing the city instead of Trinity river and the two Margaret sister bridges. You can see all the freeways overlapping like spaghetti. At the top, there is a little area with a few tables and chairs. I guess you can bring a lunch or snack whilst enjoying the views. The restrooms are really clean up there. Outside, there are telescopes available and info about the skyline. However, it was awfully windy and cold in January. The staff were really friendly and helpful with any questions you have. We found out the photos taken earlier, could be viewed at the kiosks by scanning the barcode on your ticket. They email the photos to you for free or you can buy a physical copy from them. Overall, it was a nice visit. Have to say, there were hardly any people around. I guess it was off peak tourist season, so it was nice not having the crowds and long lines.

There are signs telling about the original trading post on this site. Because it was designated parkland at the beginning, it was not redeveloped as a skyscraper or a freeway, making it an open space in downtown Dallas. It's also one one of the most recognized parks in the country. Not because it's distinctive; it's not. But that day which continues to live in infamy . . . 22 November 1963 . . . President Kennedy was riding in a convertible with his wife, top down, while the crowds cheered . . . suddenly, a shot rang out . . . Dealey Plaza is the park behind the convertible in the Zapruder film. X marks the spot on Elm Street where the fatal bullet hit his skull. A solemn spot. The park is not all about Jack Kennedy, though. When I visited, there was a sign advertising movies in the park. So I'd have to think that Dealey Plaza has other community events too. The east end also has places to sit under mature trees, which is nice on sweltering summers in North Texas. Pretty sculpture. Again, not an unusual park. But it serves an important purpose in the area, has lots of museums nearby, and is itself historically significant.
