Ther service is slow even though its fiber. The download speed is still a little over a Gig. My modem went out and to have a tech come out they would charge me $150 to fix something I didn't break. I had the most AWFUL customer service experience EVER!! First off this company has cost me several hundreds of dollars due to unlawfully taking money from my checking account more than 90 days after I closed my account. Costing me late fees on other bills and a negative credit mark on my rental history for equipment that was returned . The reps and managers are bold faced LIARS!! I asked for their Corporate office number and was given a nonworking number in New Mexico 8006639782. It took almost 2 months for them to reimburse the money to my account!! I recorded part of my last call with AT&T because the lies were so unimaginable that I needed proof. The are stealing from their customers , providing fake support and I can prove it; but I seems like the SPAM calls increased since I have been beefing with them. it's a stretch to say this but, I wish I could somehow prove it. Anyways, sign up for AT&T services if you want to be robbed , lied to, spam called, poor internet connection. I was impressed by the sales staff at the Belfast, Maine store, so opened an account for internet. After paying the bill of $120 for the startup and being told my subsequent monthly would be $67, I got a notice that they would withdraw $200 automatically for Oct. 8. Needless to say I was appalled, had to ditch the company and go to another which has far better connection and speed. I also learned that the connection in my area was spotty and slow, especially for cell (I don't even have one....). Good F****** riddance! read more

I moved to Georgia and a friend suggested AT&T Fiber for home internet. I engaged in a one hour chat two nights ago, was told I would receive a call yesterday, and didn't. Today, I joined chat for 1/2 hour and same runaround. I didn't need to be sold, I needed my phone call to provide whatever information was needed. However, I had no pending account. I am not going to have business with a company that can't start service without a lot of hoopla. I cancelled AT&T fiber internet service in February 2025, because I moved to a different location that did not have fiber. I received a letter in June for a bill for April and May. I called them to ask about the charges, and they said the internet service was cancelled in May and not in February. They said there was nothing that they can do about the bill. I will take my phone service to a different company. I have been with AT@T for over ten years. AT&T internet has very poor customer service. Where do I begin. Their customer service is usually worse than poor, but because I have managed on occasion to get to a halfway decent person, I will give them two stars. One thing that drives me NUTS is that they keep asking me the same security question, even though years will pass between calls I make to them about something. The question is always "who was your childhood hero?" I NEVER HAD A CHILDHOOD HERO and never would have chosen that question. My home was affected by the storms in September, a tree fell. I call at&t to cancel the the internet service and I was instructed to return the equipment to UPS. I followed the instructions incluiding paying an extra month. I did my part. 2 months later I have to call because they did not cancelled the service and they said there's no notes or record of the call, they wanted to pay the months of internet to cancel the service, WOW. AT&T clearly needs to just go away! I've witnessed their customer service degrade over the last few years to now being non-existent. To "save money" they, like other major telecom service providers rely 100% on automated bots to communicate with customers (goes to show you what they really think of their customer base). I've been without a land line for almost a month now, and when I got lucky and spoke with a living breathing human, because of the AT&T local strike here in Atlanta, I cannot get our land line repaired. Seems that AT&T are screwing their workers equally as much as they do their customers. Their technicians were sent to install fiber for Earthlink, but they were cheating, saying they showed up when they didn't do anything except walk around the backyard. One even came and tripped over something and didn't bother to do what he was contracted to do--make sure that fiber speeds were acceptable. read more

After waiting for years for an alternative to Spectrum I was so excited to get AT&T fiber. Supposedly a much faster connection at 500 GB compared to 300GB. Honestly I have not noticed much improvement in speed. But here's the kicker...less than 2 weeks into the service I get a text saying sorry but you won't have internet for about 10 hours today...whoops...our bad. And when you try to talk to someone forget about it. I GD robot just hangs up on you over and over. Ironic that the only way I could find a number to even call was to open the last email from AT&T advertising their "No Surprises" internet. It was a big GD surprise not to have any internet for half a day AT&T. After I signed up with an AT&T guy when they had an impromptu event at our community pool I tried to login with the confirm your email address click on this link. I repeatedly was sent to my deceased dad's account because I was the back up email on it. He has been dead for 7 years people. After really long waiting on hold I spoke to some guy in Pakistan who was zero help and kind of accused me of being a fraudster I gave up. I eventually was able to retrieve my dead dads password for HIS AT&T account so I could login to MY new account. Apparently it is impossible to separate these completely separate accounts. WTF? So when we woke up this morning the internet was back up. BUT I wonder if I have made a big mistake switching to AT&T. I am no fan of Spectrum but at least the service never seemed to go down. ATT UVERSE has to be the most overstated internet on the market. Almost nightly my speed is reduced to what seems like 3k (if that even exist) to non existent. I have gone entire days without connection and all I get from them is we will give you at $5.00 credit for your troubles. Not to mention no care for business lost due to their poor to no service offerings. They can never provide the upload or download speeds they claim and often (like today) totally shut down. Is there a -10 review because if there is...add another -5 and that would be my rating for this horrible provider. I requested same day service to get my internet back up and running. Their communication within the company is almost non-existent. Customer service seems to be acting as an entirely separate entity. I have been calling them several times since November about a VERY simple billing issue. In November of 2022, my house completely burned down and we had to begin the long process of rebuilding. Needless to say, I was not living at that address for awhile, much less receiving internet services there. I called AT&T the next day to let them know what happened and that I would need to put a hold on services until the house was rebuilt. They offered to "put it on vacation mode" until we turned it back on. Getting through our insurance process took some time and finding an actual builder took nearly a year. In November of 2023, a bill automatically generated without me calling to turn it on. I called, they explained, and said it was because of the amount of time that had passed. They said they would pro rate the bill and it would be taken care of but I might have to call back if another automatically generated. So I did, the next month. The same, the month after that. And then someone accidentally reinstated my service (which I did not request because my house was still not finished and I was not living there yet). Back and forth like that a few times. Some customer service reps actually read the notes back to me that stated my house had burned down and I wasn't living there without actually comprehending what they were reading, still not understanding that my bill needed to disappear as I have not used their service at all. I was still receiving emails from AT&T about the bill being due, and late fees, and even condescendingly, a coupon "in case I was having trouble paying the bill" No. It's a tiny bill. But I haven't used your services since November of 2022. A big company like AT&T should be able to fix that problem. My garbage pickup company fixed the same problem for me with ONE phone call. I even got an email about returning the equipment (that was incinerated a year ago) or I would have to pay a fee of $150. And another email saying my service was terminated. I assume due to lack of payment? Which was fine, because their communication was terrible and I had plans to find a new internet provider. Last call I made, I spoke with a supervisor named Rosario. I asked her if the fee for the equipment was included in the installation. She said yes. (Not sure why they would charge me for the equipment when that fee was included in the installment). She also said that the bill for the service was fixed but I needed to pay $75 so my credit score would not be affected. I asked what the charge was for. She said the service reinstatement fee on Jan 2nd. I told her that i didn't request that because my house was not finished at that time and I wasn't living there yet. There wasn't electricity or running water in the house until mid-February, 2024. I invited her to listen to the recorded call on Jan 2nd because there was no point in the conversation that I ever requested the service be reinstated. Just wanted to extend my gratitude for wasting a half a day of my life. I started having problems with my email on my tablet three days ago. I called yesterday morning early to find a fix. I spent all morning on the phone with minimally trained tech support personnel, all blaming my equipment and its "third party" software. One woman mentioned something about resetting my password. So I tried that, and it knocked out mail on my laptop. Finally I called and got a tech support person that listened. After an hour on the phone he found out, from his supervisor, that there is a new procedure you have to follow to develop a password. Once I did that I was downloading email with no problems. A suggestion: when you dramatically change the procedures to register an email address, let at least your tech people know about the change, if not all of your users. read more

We had AT&t for internet provider for over a year constantly turn it off saying we were past due even though we never missed a monthly payment ever. Charge this reconnection fees when we should never been disconnected. Committed fraud to the point that we had to call the attorney general in the state of Kansas and the better Business bureau if I official complaints because they were charging us for a service they don't even provide in our area and knew it when they sold it to us to their own admission. We closed our account went to a different provider because they weren't reliable never knew when we was going to get turned off or disconnected for no reason. ATT Internet Support Terrible and Disappointing! Time to make a change! I have had ATT Internet for years. After today, I am looking to switch providers. ATT technician was in my neighborhood installing connectivity to someone else's house. They opened up the ATT round box at the end of my driveway and ran a cable three houses down. Left it on the street. When they left, my internet was down. I called ATT support and explained what happened. They kept saying asking me to troubleshoot the equipment in my house. Finally got a supervisor and they tell me they will have to send a technician to my house but it will be at the earliest tomorrow. I then get a text saying the tech will not be here until Wednesday. Horrible support: * ATT caused the problem * Support personnel can't think for themselves they stick to script * Supervisor did not get it resolved * Since ATT broke it one would think they would act fast to fix it * Obviously they don't care about existing customers After many years using ATT this experience has me looking for another solution. For the product it worked well enough but the management is frustrating. I moved out of my home in August and forgot to pay a bill. I've been using the security system for 2 years and never missed a payment. And this is where the 1 star comes in because AT&T moved extremely fast to get that measly $60 payment to collections and onto my credit report at the perfect time of 3 days before closing on a home. Talked with several supervisors and there is no way for me to make the payment to have it removed. What I really disliked is I never received a phone call or email. I am in a roommate situation (five more days Lord help me get through) and they insisted on changing to UVerse one week before I left. I asked them to wait, even offered to pay the cable bill for the next month even though I'd only be there for a week but it's their house so.... The picture I posted pretty much sums it up. This rush to save a dollar basically turned into a bigger waste. Rather than pay for cable you CAN use but don't, you are now paying for cable you want to use but can't. Essentially you are donating to the charity known as AT&T. IF you actually have a picture you will randomly lose all volume. Then the picture freezes. Then the picture pixelates slowly. Now it's just completely out. The only reason I'm not upset is because my roomie is madder than I am. So .. "I told you so". I'd like to thank my roomie because there is NO WAY I will even consider U Verse in my home. No way what so ever. MY HOUSE will go back to the devil I know which is Comcast. Comcast may have its own set of issues, but I don't remember not having any cable what so ever that wasn't due to some type of major outage. U Verse simply doesn't work. And I don't donate to charities that have stockholders... Edited to add.. U verse was installed on a Friday. Intermittent service (lack of sound, freezing screen...) all day Fri and Sat. This is a mixed review - I had AT&T internet and Direct TV combo from Sams Club. The first year was fine - $81 / month for TV and Internet and while it was not the fastest, the internet service was solid and consistent. My biggest complaint was that every month they called trying to upsell me. I asked them to please stop and even got downright ugly with them... the calls never stopped. At the end of two and a half years the service was lousy - could not maintain a connection. They replaced the modem - no good - still lousy connection. Technician had the nerve to tell me my house was too far away from their box. Wait a sec - for two years I had good connection and suddenly my house is too far away from the box?? I don't think my house got relocated in the middle of the night one night. Finally got sick of the bad connection and changed providers - cancelled service. Final bill was about $100 - jump ahead 30 days and I get a bill for $322 for a final bill - WTH? I sat on the phone for an hour while they claimed money had been applied to the wrong account blah, blah Funny - they claim this happened in March but never caught it until I cancelled. Never did get a satisfactory answer so I asked for an audit of my account since January 2020 - they claimed they were sending but they never did. Now I am stuck paying $322 to protect my credit for what I believe is their mistake. Never again Done with AT&T. Well they came and ran the neighbors cable and cut our comcast connection while in the process. Couldn't get them on the phone to complain but Xfinity was right there to take my call and provide a serviceman the next day to run a brand new line. AT&T is horrible at providing communication to its customers, if the service is working. Our community had a bad tornado come through about a month ago. The city services, including all other utilities AND xfinity had everyone up and running within a week. The first trucks we saw from AT&T in our area did not start coming around until at least 2 weeks after the tornado hit. This is extremely disappointing when they had the same access to get to the community that every other company did. I have on at least a dozen occasions since the tornado contacted the company to get an update when our service would be restored and except for the first time, did not even get a response, much less an update. How can a communication company be so poor At communication? Customers are not a priority in a disaster, when they should be at their best. The only way I was able to get a response was on a chat, which took two hours, two days in a row. The first time, I was promised that we would be restored within another 24 hours (this was after being without service for almost a month) When it was not restored the next day, I went back on another chat who looked at our account and connection remotely and said that the service to the area was restored, but they need to send out a technician. Now I need to wait several days for that. Here are the current problems: Still no internet and TV. No communication at all. When the neighborhood was "restored" No comment was sent out for us to verify that we were working. No sense of urgency to help current customers. When asking about a credit for the time that we were not provided service, the AT&T representative said they could give a $15 credit for the month. This is a ridiculous amount, based on whet we pay. My wife needs to go online routinely for work, but is forced to go to a coffee shop and or the library to do her job that she should be able to do at home. This inconvenience is huge both in terms of time and money. It would be inappropriate to use a coffee shops WiFi without buying coffee. What a mess! AT&T, please do your job! read more

This review is for the broader ATT fiber network, not a specific store in Atlanta. Can I give zero stars? I am originally booked att fiber internet two weeks prior to installation. The first day they never showed, or called. So I called to try to see what happened and apparently the system didn't fully book the appointment. Day 2... same thing no show. This time I got 3 different answers. 1) They weren't dispatched, 2) They went to the wrong address, road instead of court and 3) I can't get fiber at my house. I tried calling again... and today they told me that my address is not in their database and could take up to a week to fix. I have had my fair share of bad telecom interactions, but this was by far the worst. It seems like there is nothing I can do to become a customer :-( read more

THE crappiest internet providers and service EVER! Beware and go with anyone but AT&T if you can help it. I'd honestly purchase internet from monkey before going to AT&T. Long story short, ordered services a week ago and received confirmation I could activate by 7/18 via emails and note that came with gateway. Was then told by a rep after failing to be able to setup and activate services that I couldn't until 7/20, however, after trying to activate on 7/20, was not able to. Called and was then told there was an issue with the internet box that needed to be fixed and a tech wouldn't be out until 7/22. 7/22 roles around and service tech allegedly came out, fixed the issue and closed the case. Still no internet, nor any contact from tech (knock on door, call, text, email). Called customer service and was told my case was closed and resolved, but obviously no internet. Was then told they could not get another technician out until 7/28. So after missing a day of work due to being given an 8 hour window and spending over 2.5 hours trying to get the non-service resolved, I still have no internet. Spoke with a "supervisor" and they were basically zero help, could not get another tech to come out sooner and refused to escalate me to a manager or someone higher up. DO NOT engage this company for internet!!! In all my years, cliche I know, I have NEVER had this level of absolutely horrible service to get internet service set up. It honestly should not take a week and a half to get internet setup!!!!! I would honestly rather ask a monkey to setup my internet or prove service over AT&T! Their tech services are a complete joke and their technicians are liars, do not show up for appointments, do not contact customers to verify they fixed services, if they even showed up in the first place, and will do NOTHING to assist you in the interim while without expected services. I'd honestly give negative 5 stars if possible. A warning to the wise, go with absolutely anyone but AT&T for any service. An AT&T employee who reportedly works out of AT&T's Arkansas office recently scammed me. I attempted to find out pricing and promotions for AT&T home Internet service and was intentionally or unintentionally provided with misinformation. If the employee's actions were unintentional, her performance signals glaring incompetence. She told me of two home Internet options. She said a promotional offer made them both the same price. One deal, she said, included 1,000Mbps Internet speeds. I was skeptical of the information she provided me so I questioned her about it. She insisted she was right. A few minutes later she said her supervisor (who must have been listening in on our phone conversation) corrected her and told her it was 100Mbps, not 1,000Mbps. The employee bombarded me with more misinformation. She promised I would not be charged an installation fee. That was a lie. She promised the price per month for Internet alone would be $30.00. That was a lie. She said the one time activation fee was $35.00 but her supervisor gave her the authority to wave the fee by crediting the amount back to me. Uncertain if that was true. Since I took the bait and signed up I guess I'll find out eventually. Finally, remember that 100Mbps Internet speed I referenced earlier? There's no such speed offered in my area. Seems the AT&T employee doubled the actual speed. It's really 50Mbps. I only hope the recording of my phone conversation with the AT&T employee has been retained for future reference. I now recall why I ditched AT&T Internet a few years ago. Thankfully, I can cancel my order anytime prior to the install date. read more
