The first representative I spoke with verified my account and forwarded me to someone who could end the service. This second representative picked up, said hello, and disconnected the call when she heard I wanted to end service. I called back. A third representative verified my account and forwarded me to a fourth representative who picked up, said he was in Nashville, and disconnected as soon as I said I wanted to end service. I called back, and spoke to a fifth representative who resolved the problem quickly and politely.

I signed up with AT&T in a Costco last year. Everything went so fast, I don't remember anyone telling me once I switched I had to stay with them for three years. Evidently it's in the fine print. Nobody ever discussed it with me & I don't remember reading it. They gave me $500 to switch. I paid my phone off with the other carrier. I attempted to lower my bill & I specifically asked if was under a contract & I was told no. I ended up changing carriers.i recently received a threatening email that if I didn't pay 600 + dollars they will be turning me over to collections. It's as if all of this has been strategically planned. Is AT&T that desperate for money. I have been attempting to contact them because I can't get signed on. I am over AT&T. Their customer service is a joke especially if you ask for a supervisor. They don't care anything about their customers. Even though I paid my every month on time, they don't care. Stay away from AT & T.

It is ALL about getting into a contract, but customer service LACKS in reaching out to customers when the contract is about to end. Once the contracts end, your bill SKYROCKETS!!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! The "peace of mind" of having a company have your personal checking/savings account for auto bill pay is NOT THERE! Personally, I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONES NEEDS!!

I had the app crash once, multiple "accidental" disconnects of the chat, and my router spontaneously reset itself during one chat (which has never happened before). Each time, I had to start over from scratch. It took 8 people before I gave up, and all I wanted was some sort of customer loyalty discount because another provider charges half what they do. I didn't need half, but I thought we could negotiate lower. When doing that took over an hour, I asked if I'd be receiving a survey. I explained that my issue was with the policies and procedures, not the customer service reps, but I couldn't get anyone to answer that question. After multiple times my chat just disconnected, I requested a supervisor, which they refused to provide to me. Then, I looked for a way to email to inform them what happened. There's no asynchronous way to contact them unless you use Reddit or X. If there is, it's so well hidden and denied by everyone at the company, that it functionally doesn't exist. They aren't seeking opinions because they don't care if your experience is bad because they assume you have no other options. And that's not a conspiracy theory, the call center worker actually told me that switching to another company wouldn't resolve my problem because no other company would be able to provide fast internet where I live. Bottom line: If you have any other option, I can't imagine it will be worse than XFinity. I suppose if you find a company that also comes to your house and kicks you after providing bad service at ridiculous prices, that would be worse, but that won't happen as long as they have to pay an actual employee to do that because that would require them to adequately staff to support the number of customers they have, and that doesn't seem to be a priority.

In-store, I was told I qualified for FirstNet based on my profession. I verified my employment and enrolled in that plan at the quoted rate. During internet installation, the technician arrived two hours after the four-hour service window. More concerning, he incorrectly entered my email address and created a separate account without my knowledge. As a result, my internet service was later shut off for "nonpayment" even though I had paid and actually had credits on my account. I spent hours on the phone during my work-from-home day, missing important client calls, untangling an account setup error that originated during installation. I was charged a $40 restoration fee despite having paid my bill. To this day, my accounts remain separate and continue causing issues, despite multiple representatives telling me they have been combined. I am currently on the phone with AT&T again during my workday because the system still shows two accounts. The most serious issue occurred when I was later told I no longer qualified for FirstNet and needed to verify my employment again. While on the phone attempting to resolve this and switch to a standard plan, I was involved in a car accident. I informed the representative that I needed to call 911. I was told my service was being switched and that I could make the call. After calling 911, my phone service was completely disconnected. For hours, as I waited for police alone, I could not call my family. I could not access GPS. Police were unable to reach me when they attempted to call back. AT&T had cut off the service I pay for--during an active emergency. I ultimately had to walk away from the accident scene and ask strangers to use their phones. After my boyfriend arrived and allowed me to use his phone, I spent over 90 minutes getting my service restored. After escalating the issue and spending additional hours on the phone, I was offered a $25 "courtesy credit." This is not a minor billing issue. Disconnecting service during an emergency because of internal account and plan confusion is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this location based on how this account was set up and the cascade of issues that followed. If you use this store, verify every detail of your account in writing and double-check your plan eligibility before leaving.

The customer service at both the Georgia Tech and Summerhill AT&T locations has been horrendous. The staff is uninformed, disorganized, and frankly, unhelpful. No one can give a straight answer, and no one seems to know what they're doing. I've wasted hours going back and forth trying to make a simple purchase. While I've generally been satisfied with the FirstNet service itself, this situation has been so frustrating that I'm seriously considering canceling my account altogether. If this is how FirstNet treats first responders, it's shameful. All I want is an iPad -- this shouldn't be this difficult.
