I requested to start service and was told the in home installtion was going to be mailed out to me & receive it. That was 5 days ago. I called to follow up about the tech switching the service & was told yes they will go oit to the site to do so. I was told the installation kit is shipped prior so you can install the hardware & everything would be up an running immediately after the tech "flips the switch" essentially. Now they are saying the kit isn't going to be shipped until after the tech goes to the site (not my home mind you). There is literally no point in having a tech do so now if my equipment is still sitting waiting to be shipped from AT&T. Absolute poor planning & unsatisfactory service. They are not proactive by any means. I'm told now that it will be 8 days before I receive the equipment. I should not be charged for 8 days without i ternet service, it ahould be pro-rated at the VERY least. Stay away. Go to COX or another co. if you can. They had my service hooked up in 24hrs. read more

AT&T is installing fiber optics in our neighborhood and are destroying lawns in the process. Also broke a water main. My past experience with them is that they were awful at service. I will NEVER use AT&T for anything again. read more

The absolute worst tv provider! I moved houses in aug 2016 and the rep told me to cancel the account and they would open a new account to be cheaper for my new address. From aug 2016 to January 2017 I was paying on two accounts! The old one and the new one! Finally caught the issue, customer service said they owed me $900 and would send out a prepaid card in 30 days. I called back 45 days later and nothing was sent out! I escalated the issue once more, I haven't received a call. Now I just get a toll free call that I owe $500 on my old account that should have been cancelled as of August 2016! This company is complete BS! I told them to credit my account if they can't send me the prepaid card and they won't even do that!! Att and direct tv are the absolute worst! read more

I had an installation appointment for August 12th. They were supposed to come out on Saturday with Direct TV but they said they don't work on Saturday so I had to schedule on Friday. I found out that is not true! Came late and couldn't do anything. He said they might be able to do fiber optics later today and he would come out on Saturday. However, AT&T needs to do fiber optics and can't do that until the 19th. Earliest install is the 22nd. AT&T no help in speeding this up. Terrible customer service! Sent me to 5 different people! Direct TV waived fee for wireless and gave me credit so at least I got that done on Saturday. I would give them 0 stars if I could! Update: guys came out and buried the fiber optics. Now I have talked to three people and 40 minutes later and I still don't know when they are coming out to install the phone and Internet! 2nd update: 52 minutes later, I found out I was not even scheduled. Now appointment is the 23rd. Final update: AT&T came on the 23rd. After waiting all morning, the employee finally came at 1:30. He apologized and got to work. Hopefully no more problems. read more

Has taken 7 calls and counting to cancel service. First call they tried to get me to stay, I said I would think about It and called a few days later to go ahead and cancel completely. Again, tried to get me to stay, I said no and cancelled effective the date my contract/promo was up. We sent in our equipment as instructed and a few days later at almost 9:00 pm I got a call asking how my service was going...excuse me what service?! They then scheduled to call me the next morning to talk to someone who could cancel. That person again tried to sell me on staying! WTF! At that point I got really upset (rightfully so!!!) and the "customer service" lady got so upset and became so rude to me she all but hung up on me. Now I was upset, but I wasn't overly rude. She had no right to be so. I called right back to make sure she wasn't petty and that my account was in fact cancelled, was assured it was when it was supposed to be and got yet another confirmation number. Another few days later I had a feeling I should check my account and it still shows it was not cancelled when it was supposed to be and that I owe well over what I actually do. Tried to call again, ended up talking to someone who was no help. Hung up, called back again and immediately asked for a supervisor at which point I was treated with horrible attitude and hung up on. Spoken with Direct TV 3 times today and the problem has not been solved. 3rd rep. decided we needed a technician to come, at a service charge of $50. Have been a customer for years and never been charged a service call. After a heated debate he waived the charge. Not only are we dealing with reps who cannot speak clear English, but they have no idea what they are talking about, just reading scripts. Worst cable/internet provider EVER!!!!!!!!! Do not sign up with them if you want to get cable or internet. I have booked 4 appointments to get them to come out and install their cable and they have cancelled, or just haven't showed every single time. They have lost my order the first time, the second time they said I wasn't in their system and the third time no showed and the fourth time they gave me the time frame of 9-11 and no shower and when I called to ask where they were they said that our wiring is messed up so they couldn't install it. But how would they know anything about my wiring if they no showed 4 times. So I ended up saying eff it and cancelled their services. The worst part about the whole thing was that I never once talked to the same person about my problems and no one seemed to care or could help us.
