I came in on a Monday around noon, and I was not told until the end of my transaction that the transfer would be completed in about three days... The reason I came here was because the closest Apple Store is over an hour away from Athens, and I thought this would be convenient. At the Apple Store, a transfer takes 2-3 hours max. I was fine with waiting a few extra days, though. I called on Wednesday to check the status of the transaction and they had forgotten about it and had yet to begin working on my computer. I started writing this post two years ago and just found it in my drafts, so I'll post what I have. Don't remember much more than what was already typed other than it was one of the worst customer service experiences in my life. Pretty sure they kept my computer for about a week and ended up not being able to do anything with it. Ended up driving to Apple and got it fixed within a day. We needed to have files copied from a tower to a portable hard drive. When they called and told us…read moreit was ready, we went the following day to pick it up. When we arrived, the store was closed, although it was during business hours, so we called the number on the window and we were told that the employee who was manning the store had had a family emergency and had to leave. We were told to call the following day and they would let us know when we could come. My wife called the following morning, and she was told that the store would open at 12:30. She specifically earnasked if someone was coming just then, or if the store would be open the rest of the day, and we could coming any time during posted business hours. At about 3 PM that day, we arrived at the store and it was again closed. we again called the number on the window, and the person I presume is the owner said that he would try to contact the employee. My wife pointed out that he had told her earlier that day that the store would be open, but he did not even acknowledge this, did not apologize, and simply said that he would contact the employee and let us know when the store would be open again. I expected a call back later that day. Five (5) days later, we called HIM back. He said that he was unable to call us because he didn't have his cell phone. We didn't even ask for details, because this was just so obviously bogus as to not be worth the trouble. Each of these trips to the store involved a round trip of about 50 minutes for us, not including the time wasted calling the owner and waiting for his return call, and we also had to pay for parking on a busy street in Athens. In all, we have wasted over three hours because of the unprofessional, uncaring and just rude behavior of these people. Nothing justifies this behavior. I deeply regret ever having trusted these people, and I will certainly never do business with them again. People who care so little for their customers do not deserve the business. I recommend you patronize businesses that treat you with respect and care about how much of your time they squander. That is NOT C&CR.

I went to this store about five months ago, January 2026, because my screen needed repair. They…read moreasked me if I wanted the low quality screen, the good quality screen (comparable to Apple but much cheaper) or the Apple screen. I said I wanted the middle option. That is what I paid for. As soon as I got my phone back (4 hours later- keep this in mind for later in the story), I knew something was wrong. It was shutting off all the time, the brightness didn't work correctly, and my front camera was awful quality. I am somewhat shy and don't like confrontation and I do not want to be THAT person that complains and makes an employee's day harder... so I just told myself to live with it and did not go back and complain. Fast forward to today, May 15th 2026. I broke my screen again and took it somewhere else. When the employee at the other store looked at my phone, he automatically said "you have gotten this replaced before?" because he could tell right off the bat that my screen was not the quality it should have been, had they really given me that "high quality" screen. He starts repairing it and tells me that uBreakiFix did not even put the main screws back in my phone! I have been walking around for FIVE MONTHS without the correct screws in my phone because they screwed it up (pun not intended). He also said he commonly has complaints of people coming from the uBreakiFix store, leaving with a phone more messed up than when they started. At the new store, he finished my phone in no joke five minutes so I am not sure why uBreakiFix needed four hours... to do the wrong thing. Long story short, do not go here and make the same mistake I did. Absolutely not worth the money or time.
