On 11/20/2025, I upgraded my son's phone at this location. We have a family plan and his phone was eligible for a new phone for quite some time. I was informed by the salesperson, he could take my son's phone in on trade, upgrade to the new iphone, give me a better plan and lower my overall bill. So we did just that. Then I went to my account and saw an additional line that I Never Asked for. I called the 1.800 number of AT&T and was told, the salesperson did something wrong and it was a good catch on my part. The 1.800 said, only the store could fix the issue so I went first thing this morning. I was told no issue just bring the phone in. They had to return the phone, then resell it and my bill would not go up. I went home, got my son, than went back. Two visits for a mistake that was the stores issue. Now I was told that by returning the phone, and putting it back on the account I would have to pay a restocking fee of $55.00. This was for a mistake; I did not make and one that needed to be corrected before 14 days. The salesperson insisted I would have to pay the restocking fee even though it was the same phone we were getting back. Something was off and someone was doing something that was not policy. It was apparent. I was also told, I still had to call 1.800 to get the extra line off my bill. It was suggested, just leave things alone. SOOO, I called AT&T 1.800 again. 57 min later, I was told, that it would be best just to leave the extra line on my account. Based on what was done, My bill would be $35.00 less than normal. The issue is I was not told all the facts and all the local AT&T store really wanted was the extra line and they get commission on that. They just manipulated the system. I wasted four hours total on this and really does not fill me with enthusiasm to continue to do business with AT&T or their local office. Full Disclosure, the 1.800 rep gave me $75.00 in good will for my hassle. That was nice. Sorry for the RANT.

I asked the representative to explain the differences between my current iPhone 10 and the new iPhone 12 Pro. The representative stated that there are "no differences". I found that hard to believe, but he insisted. I was not encouraged to upgrade nor were any suggestions offered on any other items. I left thinking I should just keep what I have. Does that sound like a sales pitch to you? I do not recommend this location if you have a desire to learn more about the latest technology.

Negative should be an option…read more I rarely take the time to write reviews, but my experience with T-Mobile has been so frustrating that I feel obligated to warn others. After being a customer for four years, paying nearly $90 a month, I expected at least a baseline level of respect and service. Instead, what I got was overpriced plans, inconsistent value, and customer service that felt dismissive at best and outright disrespectful at worst. When I finally decided enough was enough and requested a transfer PIN to switch providers, the attitude I received was shocking--like I was somehow in the wrong for no longer wanting to overpay for subpar service. What stood out most was the complete lack of effort to retain me as a customer. No meaningful offers, no attempt to understand my concerns--just indifference. For a company that takes so much from its customers month after month, you'd expect at least a professional and courteous goodbye. That didn't happen. My experience with the T-Mobile location in Birmingham, Alabama only reinforced my decision. The service there was unprofessional, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable. It felt like customer care was the last priority. Since switching, I've had a completely different experience. The transition was seamless, quick, and stress-free exactly how it should be. It made me realize just how unnecessarily difficult T-Mobile had made things all along. Consumers should know they have options. Loyalty should be valued, not exploited. T-Mobile seriously needs to reevaluate how they treat long-term customers, because right now, it feels like they simply don't care. Goodbye, T-Mobile and good riddance. Oh by the way xfinity is giving customers mobile services for one year free If you have been with them a period of time , consumers should know their options and not being taken by greedy companies.

***BUYERS BEWARE!***This company offered a Groupon deal for $15 for a $30 value off of a repair. I…read morepurchased it on December 18th from Groupon and my Groupon expired on April 18, 2018. I purchased the Groupon to assist with my mother getting her broken iPad glass fixed. My mother has been calling this company for days now only to hear that the phone line was disconnected. She finally visited the actual location of the business only to see that the Gadget Geeks was closed (Google even has the business listed as "permanently closed"). She was extremely disappointed. Before I considered calling Groupon for a refund I reached out to Gadget Geeks via Facebook messenger. I expressed my frustration about the store's closing and having a Groupon voucher that I couldn't used. GG replied back saying "Hi Jemia, We are relocating and we will be closed until April 1st. You can always contact groupon and get a refund. We let them know over a month ago to suspend any sales of groupons related to us." I don't understand why you would have a Groupon deal available and you're closed for months?! And then suggesting that I should just get a refund is beyond frustrating. GG then asks me what I needed repaired and I told them. They said that they could meet me on HWY. 280, repair the item and return it in the same day. The cost, $75. --- While I appreciated the gesture to repair the iPad outside of the business, I was not happy with the price. I paid $15 for a $30 valued discount with Groupon. The cost of the repair was $89. I had checked their website before purchasing the Groupon and before they shut it down. If my Groupon had been honored the cost should have been $59 (plus tax). But whoever the rep was responding for GG clearly didn't understand the value of the Groupon ad and told me, "We are honoring the groupon without redeeming it. Technically with that deal you get $15 off after you pay $15 to groupon, not $30. Let me email my Rep and see if we can even still redeem them." WTH????? Completely baffled by the response I sent a screenshot of the actual ad that CLEARLY states "$30 Value for Glass Repair" (for $15). Their response, "Yes, I know. After you pay the $15 to groupon so you technically get $15 off." WHAT?! This business clearly doesn't understand how Groupon works. I told them that they were incorrect about the Groupon ad. What's the point of buying a $15 Groupon deal and I only get $15 off of my repair. There's NO savings! Then the GG rep told me, "I said that you will be returning the groupon and without even redeeming the groupon I was gonna give you $15 off. Have a good day." WOW. What kind of CUSTOMER SERVICE is this? So I guess you're just going to FORCE ME to get a refund on my Groupon deal instead of trying to make things rights. My final reply was, "The entire point of paying for the Groupon was to receive $30 off. You did not honor your Groupon deal. That is extremely discouraging and bad for business. You have a good day as well." Their response..."*thumbs up*" In good faith I purchased $15 Groupon valued at $30. Only for the business to be closed for the large majority of the 120 days that my voucher was good. And then I was basically told that they would NOT be honoring the deal that they promoted with Groupon. So. Disappointing. :/

I wish I could give them less than 1 star because I purchased a Groupon in November 2017 (that they…read moredid not honor) and left my phone there for a repair and they closed the business without notifying me or giving my phone back . Terrible place, don't patronize!!!!!
