Absolutely abysmal lack of common sense customer service. Jacob Maurer, the sales manager lacks any understanding of how to treat customers. Didn't even acknowledge that I was in front of him while chatting with another employee. When asked if I could ask a question, he said I should wait for them to finish their conversation. He didn't signal anyone to come help, just took his time chatting. I'm here to pick up on online order, that I was text notified to pick up, I checked in at the kiosk, and was waiting for someone to even greet me. Silence. And, the kiosk said that 6 people were in front of me, when I am the only customer in the store. So insulting and rude. So sick of this store. Nik gave us the very best service possible. We came to the store to purchase an Apple Watch with cellular service for my husband. When he checked out our account he found out we had the old discontinued u-Verse service. Nik found we could upgrade to DirectTV get more channels and the price was lower. He worked with us a LONG time. An hour and a half before closing and another hour and a half the next morning. BUT, now we have great new TV service and a new Apple Watch with cellular service. 'YOU HAVE A BLESSED DAY!!!' The manager yelled with his best snark at me from across the room for all to hear as I was leaving this At&T store. And this was from The young - ish red bearded manager (i think he was- he was the guy the one helping called over so I am assuming...) Not sure if he was showing off for his employees, or just enjoys that sort of thing, but in either case, rest assured everyone in the store heard it. And All I wanted was a screen protector. 'That one is not available on the website right now'' he said when I first met with him. I told him that I had paid for one of the 'lifetime replacement program' so was there any other option? He proceeded to tell me that it didn't apply to MY lifetime, but just the lifetime on the phone, and my phone's lifetime had run out I told him but I've only had this phone for a year and a half, and it works just great. He raised his voice and said lady, this phone was made in 2020, and it's 'three-year lifespan' had already run out ??? Anyway, it went back-and-forth like this with him getting increasingly condescending, it was clear he had zero intention of helping me so I just got up to leave, initiating his scream at me across the room. We've been AT&T wireless customers for years. Most of the time it's been fairly hassle free until we did an upgrade in Jan 2020. My lady and I needed new phones so we stopped by to swap our old iPhones out for new. What I came to realize later, way later is that the agent added another line, gave me a new phone and then we proceeded to pay service charges on another line. So I ended up paying for service on a line that had no phone attached to it, plus paying service for the line I used regularly. Attempts to resolve with the local store were fruitless. They said I'd need to call retention, gave me a number that didn't work and advised I'd need to ask the person on the other end to cancel the unused line, and if they did t have allotments I should hang up and start all over ago with a new person. I went home, called and after about an hour on the phone with Loyalty - not retention, they said I'd have to go back to the store. I tweeted out my horrible experience and someone reached out-took my info and a day later offered a very small resolution compared to the expense and hassle I'd been having. I'm going to file with the Better Business Bureau to see if I can get a better and more full resolution. If you get new phones here best get all the info in print to make sure nothing shady is happening. read more

Never been to store with such horrible service. Does not care about customers. Wish I would have looked at reviews before I went and wasted my time at this store. Said they were a corporate store and could help me when I called on the phone, but couldn't do anything more then a retail when I went in. Instead of helping me they tried pushing me out the door right away so I sat in there for hours with customer service in the phone. They seriously got up and left the table after I said I was still needing help. They wouldn't even check up on how it was going. Why is that we all fear the dreaded visit to the cell phone store? Is it the long lines? The sketchy customer service? The hundreds of bucks you're undoubtedly going to have to drop to get your mission accomplished? I'm going to keep this review about this particular AT&T and not AT&T's corporate policies, 'cause I would have to use some choice words in that review, but this location in Brentwood right by Bread Co. is quite lovely if that's even possible for a cell carrier store. It's big and bright, and right when I walked in, a gentleman took my name and told me it'd be about 10-15 minutes before I was helped. "Yeah right," I thought, but took a seat on a couch and spent the next ten minutes watching an action-packed baseball game on TV, which actually took my mind off of being pissed about why I was there in the first place. (To make a long story short, I needed to get out of a family cell phone plan, and they wouldn't let me do it online or over the phone. Plus a million other strange rules.) I was helped in LESS than ten minutes (impressive!) and the guy who worked with me at the desk was more really nice, even though he couldn't give me the answers I wanted. I'm not sure how $300 should be required to switch a freaking phone line from one account to the other, but I digress. He got a good laugh when I bought a phone charger and asked if he could open it for me since I needed it in the car, and all he had to do was pop the front of the package off. Last night at 7:30 I walked into this AT&T, traded in my Galaxy s7 for an s9, and had all my data transferred over. It was done by 8:30 and they unlocked the doors to let me out. Fast forward to now... I have been on hold FOREVER. I got a new $800 phone there last night. Since then, I have missed 8 text messages (that I know of) but properly received 20 others (so you know some of them are getting through). I tried to call AT&T a number of times, but couldn't get through. Then I tried to call my sister -- that's right, the woman who has been in my cell phone contacts for the last 20 years under the same name and picture on speed dial -- and an AT&T representative answered the phone!!!! He transferred my call to this store because obviously my phone contacts and phone numbers are now useless. I called the store at 10:11 a.m... exactly 11 minutes after they opened. I was assured by the customer service rep that I would be getting a FULL REFUND from the store with no service charges because of this horrific experience, and that I would be able to leave the store no worse for wear. However, after being on hold for 15 minutes, the associate at the store informed me that the phone I traded in last night (after close) was no longer available. So if I traded this phone in AFTER the AT&T people had closed and locked the store up last night, and if the store has now only been open for 11 minutes this morning, how is it that I cannot get my phone back? I asked for a different Galaxy s7 to replace the one that apparently vanished or got sent off in the 11 minutes before my call today. I was informed that's not really how it works. I guess here's my issue: it should not be this difficult to make and receive text messages and phone calls. If I call my sister, my sister should answer. If I call AT&T, AT&T should answer. If I text my friends Robin and Carey, my friends Robin and Carey should answer. Yet in the 14 hours that I have been an AT&T client, none of those things has even begun to be true. My only hope is that the manager is ready and waiting for me at 3 p.m. with another Galaxy s7 that I can take BACK to T-Mobile. If I could give a zero I would. Buyer beware when buying an Apple Watch from this store. Bryant advised of this "great deal" of buy one get one free. I was looking to replace my current Apple Watch that had no cellular plan. Easy enough to see there was no cellular plan. We were sold the watches, we're not advised of activation fees or cellular plan (which I would have declined the purchase. On top of it all the "discount" for the BOGO is not correct on the statement. The manager couldn't even answer why. We didn't realize the issue with the watches till our first statement which is after their 14 day return policy. Other stores give written estimates when looking to add a product to the account, not this store. Very disappointed. read more

We just spent an hour listening to a customer yip yap to an employee about everything but phone business. 7:50pm rolls around and I go ask the rep how long it would be. 20 minutes later, he finally ends his conversation with her only to find out they have no iPhone 12 Pro Max phones in stock. I have had positive experiences here before, but not today. If I have a better experience next time, I'll update my review. My teenager and I both got our iPhones here. I need to be able to see her text messages on my phone (just teenager things), but haven't been able to do it because iCloud is confusing. Went to this store and were stopped on the way in by an associate. I told her the situation and she looked briefly at our phones. She said since we have different Apple ID's, we would have to go to the Apple store in the Galleria because "we don't have a specialist on that here." Incredulous and dismayed, I said "What if I just change her Apple ID to mine?" And she said that might "delete things." Then she walked off. We were having this conversation in the doorway of the store, with new customers coming in and kind of walking awkwardly between us. So she left, and I stood there in the doorway and changed my daughter's Apple ID to match my own and - voila! What do you know, it worked. I kind of can't believe she was going to send me to the seventh circle of Hades that is the Apple store for something so small and simple. Unfortunately in this case the associate was either lazy or uninformed, and neither is good. I hope to have a better experience next time. read more

Walking in I was treated with a greeter who immediately put me on the waitlist after asking what I was looking for that day. My wait time was about 5-10 mins before I had an employee assist me which wasn't a long wait in my opinion. Erik was the employee who assisted me. He was patient enough with me to answer any and all questions I had about different phones (and I came in with quite a list of questions). I already had a general idea of what phones I was debating between (the Samsung Galaxy S10/10e or the iPhone X) that I was wanting to update my Samsung S6 to. He gave me very detailed feedback to my questions/concerns/comments and helped me narrow down which phone would be best for me without pushing a particular phone towards me, which I appreciate. He was upfront about pricing options, and tried to help me find accessories worth the cost without over purchasing something I wouldn't really utilize. He asked me what I generally use my phone for, what I do, etc. and gave me advice on what is worth spending money on and what is better to not bother buying because it wouldn't benefit me and would be a waste of my money. He was also very nice, and helped me with transferring my content over from my old phone to my new one (which took a long, long time but I have a lot of pictures so I excepted that). I would recommend this location, and specifically this employee. read more

I've had decent service here before and typically don't have an issue, clean, friendly staff the whole 9. Taking into account it is the week after Christmas and it being busy, was a little disappointed in my recent visit. Waited in lobby for a good 15 minutes and wasn't addressed or approached thus couldn't even get on the waiting list. After saying hello to an employee passing by and getting no response we figured we weren't wanted and they didn't want a sale! We left shortly after. While it looked like all staff were busy with other costumers (again understandably) you'd assume someone would notice two people standing in the lobby and either greet them or start figuring out why they're there. It's unfortunate but happens, I just wish we could've put our name on a list before showing up or without an associate's assistance. There's usually someone to greet you and welcome, but is there not a manager to handle situations like this? Just confused and disappointed is all. read more

Everyone at this store was very helpful and friendly. Brandon opened the door for me my first time there and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Please I beg you to never go to this location for service. Trying since Dec. To get an issue resolved that was done when we moved lines from TMob over to Att & nothing. I have asked Mgr Marvin to help but refuses. The rep gave us temporary # instead of completing the porting over of our #. It took 2 days to get that taken care of then all promotions were removed from account because they were attached to the newly issued #s. Whenever we call the reps start a ticket to have issues fixed all these tickets are still sitting in a queue. The Staff at Brentwood shrugs their shoulders when we go in to ask them to get resolved. We have no other choice after 8 months but to return to TMob because I can't continue to give AT&T and extra $60 a month. What's crazy is everyone knows what the error is but no one will correct it. He was incredibly kind and helpful; extremely patient too! It was a long process to start but he was there to help every step of the way. If only I can give the store zero or a negative star I will. I trade in my note10+ phone October last year and the store agent I spoke to (forgot his name) told me that my phone qualified for a $1000 trade in value, because yes my phone is in perfectly good condition. Then I received a text that my phone did not qualify for the promotion so I went to this store again and was assisted by store agent (Jordan) he said again that I did qualify and their store manager Heather will call me with the update because in the At&t app, I still have to pay an amount with no promotion. I kept calling every month after the 3rd monthly bill was posted but Heather was not answering my call so I called the At&t support. What they were doing was just refiling my trade in promotion and I have to wait 60 days to get an update. Now it's been 3 months and they filed my case for like 3 times already and for the 3rd time i have to wait another 60 days. I called the number where I can speak to someone to escalate the problem only to find out that they will not qualify my phone for the promotion but give me $400 instead. My perfectly fine note10+ phone was just trade in then for $400? What a joke! read more

Customer service is severely lacking. Pointlessly rude and not knowledgeable of details. I went to the AT&T in Chesterfield beforehand but had to get my other phone after discussing some options. The Chesterfield employees were friendly and extremely helpful. Instead of driving all the way back to Chesterfield, however, I decided to go to the Brentwood location after getting my other phone, since it is closer to where I live. Worst idea ever. Unfortunately, the Brentwood employees were NOTHING like the Chesterfield ones. They gave me inaccurate responses that did not match the details that Chesterfield gave me. I came in at 7 and our phone situation was a bit of a cluster (moved from one company to ATT) and yes it was crowded and no Sean could not have been nicer or more helpful and PATIENT. There were a number of issues from the transfer from old co to ATT and my husband had authorization and he was not with me. Sean pulled out all the stops to help me get my phone working and stayed past closing to make sure I got it all worked out. He was really friendly and kind to everyone (not just customers but had a great rapport with his colleagues as well). It really made an annoying situation bearable. Thanks so much! read more

I highly recommend this store and Alex Holmes. I experienced exceptional customer service at this store (a bit of a surprise because AT&T customer service over the phone has oftentimes been painful). I had gone a bit stressed because my iPhone was stolen for the second time in six weeks so I didn't have an upgrade available. Alex Holmes was able to come up with a solution that didn't kill my bank account. He was extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with. I have been to other AT&T stores. There was nothing wrong with them; but the people at the Brentwood store went above and beyond to be helpful. I would definitely return to this store and to see Alex over other locations. read more

This review is not about ATT & T in general, its reception or policy, rather this particular office in Bentwood. The place is well laid out, they have a greeter who meets you at the door and directs someone to you, who, when I have been there, always gets to you quickly. In my experience, the staff here has been consistently helpful and know what is possible. I recently visited the place on saturday, a normally very busy day and was in and out in less than 20 min.The design of the place is a little like an Apple store, large and well lighted. Today is 10/6/2019 most awful professional experience I have ever had. Nobody was busy and nobody acknowledged me. I had to walk up to the counter and asked to be helped by 3 associates who were all talking to each other. I asked about a promotion I had received and I had questions about getting a free phone upgrade and I was instantly told I could not get a phone for free and that I would have to pay for something and I said "okay" they didn't ask for my name my account information nothing no help at all I was told I would have to pay sales tax and 5 dollars. I laughed and thought to myself well if 5 dollars is all I have to pay well what's the big deal? He didn't even try to help me he didn't even make eye contact. Not only did they refuse to let us in but the women who answered the door was so unnecessarily rude. She clearly hates her job. customer service over the phone..I cant locate a corporate page to note what happened So it's here, craigslist and facebook.. The setting up new service. Rather lack of true customer service. Now a 5th scheduled. Possibly third visit. AT&T has proven today for thr 4th time to be very unorginized and disrespectful to it's customers. My first day that AT&T was originally scheduled to be installed was on April 1... My birthday.. I was understanding that the installation was delay due to beyond controlled issues by both myself and the installation crew. . . So, the scheduled date was the 8th, and the team did a no call no show.. I called AT&T being very pissed that I wasted a day. I Had on also had repeated emails and phone calls by automated system to schdule for installation of service. From my compliants of the them calls and emails. A rep had dropped installation fee by $99. So I continued to accept service. The rep said yes service will be done on the 14th. At the time I forgot the promotion promises a $100 off after 8 weeks of service. On the 14th I called with about 30 minutes left before end of arrival time to show. A rep told me that it wasn't on the schedule and too late in the day to send anyone out for installation. With increase anger of lack of service being provided by no service upon the agreement made by AT&T. The rep offered all installations cost voided due to problems of getting service. The rep reported it was conferred service will be installed upon agreement of new date and time scheduled. For tomorrow (15th) between the same hours. Now today th 15th came and passed. a guy man arrived thinking he's helping someone and to tell me later he's the installer.. top it off the original reason installation that was not installed was from the outside line. Is the cause now why no installation of service yet again. I yet called again.. this rep. Tells me he's offering the same thing that was suppose to been already given. I'm about done with AT&T... they prove incompetence of workers and planners for new service and to blame someone else. Thanks to the ass that can't just email me of my post didn't sound clear. I'm not here to impress anyone. I'm just telling what happened by AT&T. Not about my grammer.. if your so educated.. you should able to figure it out what I was saying. Besides I posted this else where an uverse manager had already responded. Today 4/17/14 After a text, email and phone call, I called after a voice mail from AT&T telling me now to schedule my appointment after being told that now service wasn't scheduled and was on hold that the 9-11 installation can't be done. Once I told the rep I wanted a full cancellation of all services and all disconnection charges waived. He puts me on hold a supposedly to talk to a manager what I told him the history already. The rep comes back to say he has it scheduled for the schedule 9a to 11a as originally planned for this time. I asked for a copy of this coversation of all charges waived. As i was originally typing this. A tech called apparently told now when I told him no not until monday. I have a schedule too. 4/18/2014 After my previous posting. I called Charter about services. The plan and agreements with charges. Charter is sounding a lot better. AT&T needs to step up. I called Charter and services sound better and agreements are even better. I'm seriously considering Charter and told of my experience with AT&T. 4/22/2014 After my wise choice/ action. talking to family, friends and associates. I did as I noted. I cancelled my installation plan for the fifth schedule plan to install Uverse servce phone and internet. I now have Charter phone and internet. which the installation is a lot cheaper and service arrival and installation was done as schedule and didn't have reasons on why not to do the work. My experience with AT&T with the attempt to get home service by phone and internet from great back years ago. to shitty... really bad... My experience at this time for the first time.. DirecTV and Charter Phone and internet has been done as promised. That's customer service. So since I don't use my cell enough anymore. That will end at the end of contract. read more

I went into this store to upgrade my phone today 05/15/21. I was totally ignored by the staff, no one greeted me to take my information to be put on the wait list. An employee actually came up and greeted the person who entered after me to see what they needed and walked away without acknowledging me at all. My daughter & I went into the AT&T Brentwood store today to get new phones, and had a truly enjoyable experience working with Bryant. We had a few challenging situations, and he handled them with ease. He even found a discrepancy on our cellular plan that we were able to correct & will save us $. Bryant was extremely kind and patient with us and never seemed annoyed or frustrated despite us monopolizing his time. We appreciated that once he got to know us a little better, he felt comfortable joking around with us and bantering back n forth - especially about my daughter's 6 tik tok accounts;). I even went to the bathroom while our data was transferring to our new phones, and came back to my daughter telling Bryant about her skin care routine - lol! He cared enough to listen to my daughter, relate to her, & make her feel like a valued AT&T customer, even at 12.5 years old. THIS is how you retain customers for life....by having awesome people like Bryant working for your company. There also was no wait time on a Sunday afternoon. Definitely a positive experience today and we'll keep coming back to this location! read more

If you go into this store ask for Deona. Not only does she get stuff done for you, but she makes it an easy and enjoyable experience. Normally phone companies can be a headache, but Deona made everything simple and quick. I came back the next day because I had further questions and she was able to accommodate me even with her busy schedule. This store should find more workers like Deona. read more
