We had a good experience at Verizon. I went to get a new phone and switch on to my fiancés phone plan. The staff was really helpful with this whole process - they even printed off multiple plans so we could easily compare options and pick what was best for us. We were able to walk out with a new phone, a new phone plan, and a discount because I'm a nurse all in under an hour. What a horrible experience. Our associate talked us into adding the Netflix/HBO Max streaming service to our line. She gave us completely wrong information and it really ended up being a problem. I had to spend more than four hours in the phone with Verizon and even had to drive back into the store. She was incredibly rude when I went back in to discuss the issues we were having and then had the nerve to blame it on me. The other associates in store were no better and didn't offer to help. The Verizon customer service representative told me the store was wrong and gave us bad information. To make matters worse, we can't get off this plan for a month even though it has been cancelled. I came in Friday January 3rd to order a replacement phone because my phone was broken. A young lady "helped" me... turns out. The order was never processed properly, and it was canceled today is January 7th... IM just now was able to get ahold of someone to help fix and replace my phone. With the call center after being on the phone for 2 hours.. No thanks to this store.. they added more stress and was no help. Not to mention when I first walked in everyone was just sitting around. This store is an example of why customer service is challenged today. I am in town for a conference. Did not realize that WiFi access would be limited in my meetings, so I thought, I will purchase a hotspot. It was going to take a couple days from Amazon, so I decided to go through Verizon and pick up at a local store. Checked inventory. Order placed, waited. Twenty-four hours, I still had not received confirmation that I could pick up my hotspot. So I called this local branch. Who knew that a phone company would not answer their phone. NO ONE ANSWERS A PHONE AT THIS STORE!!! It would ring up to Verizon. After spending 45 minutes on the phone no one could answer my question about pickup or contact the store. Finally, I just made an appointment for the next day, because of course you have to have an appointment. All they had to do was put it in a bag. They did not have to do anything else. It is a hotspot. I added to an account with other hotspots. No one could be bothered to scan it and put it in a bag. When I walked in, there were three people not with a customer. This store has a friendly staff and great service. I love the set up and comfort as well. At times the wait can get long but if you don't go at peak times you can usually be in and out. Sooo Verizon wants you too make an appointment even when there is no one in the store..... we walked in there was no one at the door... the business does NOT say they are appointment only. But when you walk in they are doing nothing... literally one employee was talking to his girlfriend on the phone!!! They will spend 30 minutes explaining what you need to do to get service instead of providing it. He was so extremely helpful and very easy to work with. He did whatever he could to get us deals. I didn't have my wallet and the phone was going into my name so we told him we would back. We were back in the store maybe an hour later, Jairus spotted us and greeted us both by name. That truly means a lot. We ended up switching carries, two new phones, and two very very happy customers. I have been in this store a few times over the years and generally had a really long wait. This time I needed a new phone and ordered online for pick up to try and avoid that. When I walked in there wasn't a friendly welcome like usual. I told them I was there to pick up and there was no one else in the store but the girl who had called me and told me to talk to her when I got there told someone else to help me who just talked to her coworker the whole time like I wasn't there. She handed me my bag and said, there you go thanks and started walking away without answering my questions about the trade in process. Another weird thing was I had to sit on Brentwood Blvd before pulling in because a group of people were standing in the parking lot entrance filming a video. They finally moved out of the way so I could pull in but were also standing behind my car when I left as well and had to wait for them to move. They had a large van in the parking lot and none were wearing Verizon shirts so I'm not sure what was going on but the employees didn't seem to care that they were blocking most of their parking lot and it was making it hard for their customers to get in and out that afternoon. read more

I guess I'd better make sure this review is sparkling and TOS-approved, then. Good thing it's easy to do for this Verizon Wireless location, because the associates there have been fabulous. I woke up last Tuesday to find that my Droid 3 wouldn't work. No cell. No wifi. No texts. Nothing. So after a day of running errands and NOT TWEETING, I popped over to the Brentwood Verizon store for some advice. The Motorola rep was there, so he fielded my questions for the next two hours and tried everything. Seriously, he looked up a bazillion things, called other Motorola guys, helped me transfer everything off of my phone so that he could perform various resets and more. He had to head to an appointment at another store before the final reset of the day was finished, but he left me his name and email address and asked me to let him know the outcome and ask more questions if I needed to. I continued working with a Verizon rep on the various resets before I left for a previously scheduled appointment. I realized later that evening that my phone still wasn't proper, so I returned to the store, where the folks there immediately ordered a replacement phone for me. No hassle, no charge, no problem. The phone arrived two days later with easy activation instructions, and I was golden. My previous interactions with this particular Verizon store also have been good. Two years ago, I had trouble with a previous phone, and the store walked me through some easy steps to fix it. My husband and I went here to upgrade my iPhone. First of all the employee we worked with was very nice and patient considering we had our munchkin with us. That being said she also messed up every request I made. I asked for a particular type of screen protector for my cell, she put a cheap protector on my phone and the one I specifically requested on my husbands phone. (And we have two vastly different phones). Then we also made an order at the store where I specifically requested a particular color for the item and my husband requested a different color for a different item that he ordered as well. We told her multiple times which ones we wanted and yet we found out later that she messed those up to. We called Verizon about it.. Nothing they could do until the order had arrived and then we would either have to run an exchange in store (if they even have the item stocked) or wait 2 weeks to send it back, process the return, and have the correct order shipped out. So I would suggest not ordering anything at the store unless you triple check it first! Also make sure they are actually paying attention to you. read more

Went with my boyfriend to try to find out information about upgrading his phone. This place is like a dungeon. A cellular dungeon. The store is dimly lit and very dull and uninviting. It felt even more like a dungeon since we didn't get a signal in the store, nor do they offer any sort of free wifi network. I've only ever been in AT&T stores and I'm used to brightly lit stores with popping colors and TV screens; the stores bustling with life. Not that AT&T are without fault (cause they're the devil, too) but at least their store experiences actually feel like a tech store and not a social services office. Anyway, we had expected a wait (since I've been to cellular stores before) but definitely not the wait we had. There were at least 15 people standing around and sitting on the floor, since there are only two ottomans in the place that seat maybe 3. We arrived around 6:30 PM, admittedly sort of late for a store that closes at 8 PM, but what can you do. It appeared that there were only 3 employees available to assist customers, and one was the guy walking around with the tablet managing the queue the whole time (I don't think he was assisting customers, leaving 2 for the 15 of us standing/sitting around). To be fair, he was the most pleasant experience of the trip and was very friendly and kept the customers informed of their position in the line. A bit different than my own AT&T experience where there's a big ol' TV with everyone's name in order, but what can you do. When it was finally our turn, the agent who spoke with us was not entirely friendly (not entirely unfriendly, either, just... there). We weren't able to get much done since my boyfriend forgot to ask his dad to be added as an authorized account holder (whoops); I guess maybe it would have been nice if the check-in guy asked us to make sure beforehand when we told him what we had planned to do, but I actually knew it was going to be an issue and thought my b/f had set everything up. His bad. Also, I'm pretty sure the agent didn't give us the correct information and his answer may have been biased by his interest in selling us a device. When I went to an AT&T store afterwards, the agent there told me that the guy at Verizon was FOS and we should have no problem doing what we wanted to do without any repercussions. Now I have to either call Verizon or maybe hit up the Verizon subreddit which has some employees who might know what they're talking about. Thankfully my b/f doesn't make a habit of upgrading his phone very often so we won't have to head to this place ever again. read more

This place was clean and the workers are very friendly. I was in and out of there with a new screen protector over my phone in less then 10 mins. There were several people in there so I thought the wait would be long, but it wasn't. I had 3 different people want to help me, which is nice, especially when I have gone to a Verizon store before and been searching for someone to help me. The gentleman who helped me, also showed me how I could register my equipment online in order to get free covers in the future if it broke again. I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S9 at this location one week ago. Most of their phones have no price label or any other information associated with them, so I had no way of verifying the information the salesman told me. Then, he insisted on selling me a screen protector for $50, which cracked when we applied it following the instructions. Based on the reviews ON THE VERIZON WEBSITE (https://www.verizonwireless.com/products/zagg-invisibleshield-glass-curve-elite-screen-protector-samsung-galaxy-s9/), most customers have had this issue. No wonder they let you apply it at home! I went back to get a refund, and they told me they could only exchange it for the same product. Totally unhelpful. The extra star is for the Verizon customer service rep, who refunded my account and was incredibly pleasant and efficient about it. Went to the store for a replacement phone. They sent it to the wrong address. Upon returning to the store for an explanation, the manager (Tyrone) claimed that they could not tell which address they had shipped it to in their system, that this was FedEx's mistake and problem, and that there was nothing they could do. I was sent packing with a tracking number on a Post-It accompanied by a snide and pretentious attitude. After calling Verizon customer service, I found out this was all BS: they could see the address at the store, they most likely knew they sent it to the wrong one, and then lied to cover their mistake and avoid responsibility. Received two new Google Pixel 3's, which have a will documented Call setup issues. Called Customer Care and they said go to a VZW store for new phone replacement under the Worry Freee Guarantee. Went to this store and Rep Ayat said they do not replace phones covered under the Worry free Guarantee. Rep Ayat said the store would not replace the phones but she could order new replacements to be shipped to our house. Verizon shipped USED phones as replacements for our NEW phones. Called Customers service, they said Ayat should have given us NEW phones at the store. Ayat ordered replacement phones under Certified Replacement rather than Worry Free Guarantee. Both Ayat and store manager have a training problem I can see why the store has POOR customer service ratings. read more

I was eligible for an upgrade. I had the HTC One and was told the new Droid was the exact same thing! Of course, I went for it! I own my own business and rely on my smartphone a lot. Lately, I've been having trouble downloading simple apps. I get a screen telling me I don't have enough memory. WTH? Aren't all smartphones 32G? I went in, and was one of two customers in the store. However, I still had a 10 minute wait. Why? A young lady came to help and basically told me that I should have checked the memory on the phone before buying. This phone only has 16G. What kind of smart ass comment is that? When I told I was assured that I was getting a comparative phone with the recent upgrade, she basically told me the salesman lied & said the only solution was to buy a memory card but the only thing that would do would free up some of the memory by transferring my photos and videos over to a SIMS card.OK Fine. I spent the $25 and got the stupid SIMS card. When she tried to transfer all my pics and videos over she was having trouble and asked her general manager. He pretty much gave me the same spiel while he "transferred" my photos and videos over. He said he set it up so that any picture or video I took would go directly to the SIMS card. Okay fine! Later that night, when I had a problem downloading a simple, basic, small app, I looked to find out that my photos were still on my phone and on the SIMS card! So, logically, I deleted all the pics on my phone. Why not? They were on the SIMS card right? Wrong! I lost everything! This isn't the first time I've gotten shoddy service from this store. I believe Verizon has a fabulous product! Problem is, the "kids" managing the store are somewhat rude, dismissive and will flat-out tell you that there's no way they could possibly know everything that the phone you're buying does and that they do tend to sell phones that they are favorable to themselves. I spent 10 years in sales. I currently run a business. My rule of thumb is; If you don't know your product... Don't sell it! And certainly don't pretend to be an expert! read more
