This is two reviews in one, but they're connected…read more.. A few weeks ago, I was having trouble transferring my service over to the iPhone I purchased from the Apple Store. I'm a current Verizon customer, but am not the main person on the account. I'm on a family plan with my parents and my stepdad is the account holder. I walked in first thing in the morning and Justin was able to help me right away. My parents and I live in different states, so he sent my stepdad a link to give Justin permission to activate my new phone. It took maybe 20 minutes and I left a happy customer. Fast forward later, my parents were visiting me. My mom's iPhone was somewhat older and she was ready to upgrade. I called this Verizon store to make an appointment for my mom (because shopping for a phone can be time consuming) for the next week and Jonathan said he would take care of them. That morning Jonathan texted my mom that he was not going to make it, but that someone else (I think her name was Brittany/Britney) would be able to. I was a little nervous that he cancelled day of, but it was nice that Jonathan said he found someone to help instead. When I say Brittany/Britney, was AMAZING, I absolutely mean it. She upgraded my mom easily and even my stepdad too (who has been very stubborn about upgrading). She got them a great deal for their trade-ins and new phones. Additionally, my stepdad has been having trouble logging into his business account and upgrading our plan to unlimited. He has a Verizon consultant back where he lives, but they always said they couldn't do anything or they gave him the run around. She made this look easy. And the fact that we now have an unlimited plan, I cannot thank her enough! This Verizon store is super helpful and I highly encourage anyone to go to it.

The front line CSR took the first of my several questions to a manager in the back. He returned to let me know that they can add services at this store, but they cannot take any off. He told me that I can make these changes myself on the app or by phone to #611. I can make these changes myself by visiting competitors, which is what I am doing today.

The worker here knew what it was right away, ordered the battery, let me know when to expect it, and texted me as soon as I came in (less than 2 days later). He then replaced it in 15 minutes and assured me the rest of the phone was in good condition. He was very polite and knowledgeable throughout, and the battery came with a 1-month warranty. And the whole thing was cheaper than I expected!

I went to Repair Zone inside Streets at Southpoint on a Sunday afternoon after my phone's charging…read moreport stopped working properly. While the first technician was repairing the charging port, he asked whether I also wanted to replace the battery because he said it was not in good condition. He explained that since the phone was already open, he could replace the battery for less than the normal price. I agreed. After he finished, I checked the battery settings and the battery performance was still showing 65%, the same as before the replacement. I asked him about this, and he told me that it would improve to 100% within 24 hours. He also told me that if it did not improve, I should bring the phone back within two days and they would replace it again. Unfortunately, the battery continued to perform the same way after the repair. I wasn't able to return immediately because of personal circumstances, so I went back about a week later. There was a different technician working that day. I explained what had happened and told him what the first technician had told me about returning if the battery did not improve. The second technician told me that he was not as experienced or trained as the first technician and did not want to open the phone to work on the battery. I left without the battery issue being resolved. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this store for phone repair. I paid to have the battery replaced, but the battery performance remained at 65%, and when I returned to have the issue addressed, it was not resolved. I am also pursuing the matter through the appropriate channels regarding the charge.
