I initially had an issue where my phone wouldn't connect to LTE after activation. One representative was able to identify a piece of information missing from their system needed for my device to be authenticated on the network to get LTE working. However, It turns out LTE was enabled for data only. In any area that only had LTE service I couldn't send or receive text messages, or make or receive phone calls. The store won't be able to help you with prepaid issues, the only over the phone representatives you can reach are in India and don't have the tools to fix complicated issues. Once you buy a prepaid plan from these people, that money is gone, even if they cannot get your service working. I would be happy to migrate to a postpaid account if there was some indication things would be better over there, but I'm not going to get in any deeper with these folks... Just going to move on. I love at&t services. I have been with them for over a decade and have multiple devices through them. Last September I switched plans based off the recommendation of the employee there who assured me that it was a better plan than my old unlimited plan. I am now finding out (nearly a year later) that the features, speeds, and throttling limit we're not what we had talked about at all. Att customer support did help me "fix the situation bit it's now costing me more money every month. The only issues I've ever had with here in the valley have been with the employees at the store. I've had great customer service here. But anytime my plan is involved I have been very unhappy with the changes. I will be going to Verizon. read more

Wow is all I can say the blond lady was so rude I was standing outside the door and wating for my appt which I did schudle last week pushes right beside me and bumps me out of the way. I said you could have asked me to move put of your way and she continued to walk outside and ignore me and talk to another customer . GRAND JUNCTION AT&T STORE: ***** (5 stars) Great customer service. EXTREMELY helpful staff and worked perfectly with me when I had greater problems out of their control. As, my issues were all written out and explained on my account by representatives over the phone, their job was quite easy. Directions were given by managers at AT&T and I left with a short term resolution. AT&T's CELL SERVICE IN GRAND JUNCTION: * (1 star) Customer service on the phone is a joke, words and promises are not going to make my cell service better in an area that DOES NOT offer suitable cell service. I spend at least 10 minutes every time I call explaining my disappointing service of dropped calls and go through the normal routine: Name, Social, Address. Thank you so much for being a long time iPhone customer with AT&T. I then explain my ongoing dropped call issue, then go through the same routine again. Did you update your iPhone on iTunes? Yes. Do you have the latest software version on your iPhone? Yes. Have you powered down you iPhone recently? Yes. On and on and on... I can not recommend anyone in Grand Junction to use AT&T's cell phone service. I originally bought two new iPhone4's with 2 year contracts while living in Denver, CO. Since doing this, I applied for a job in Grand Junction and took the position a few months after buying these new phones. My job relocation was great. Having to move with an AT&T contract has been a NIGHTMARE! I can not call anyone without having to ask "Are you there?" repeatedly because my phone goes silent at any given time. I also hit a breaking point when I had to call everyone back to apologize that our phone conversation was dropped out of my control due to my non-service where I live and work. I've talked to everyone at AT&T that I can, I've spend a few hours over the phone with technicians on numerous occasions. I've been given a free AT&T Micro Cell to plug into my home's high-speed wireless to help boost my cell reception, which doesn't really help, I've done it all. AT&T has finally decided that I should not have to pay for my terrible cell service. They've witnessed my cell service in action as I tried to talk about what was going on over 15-20 dropped calls and call backs to get the issue straightened out. I think AT&T should get a boost in my rating for paying my bill every month, but, why would I reward a globally dominated company with this terrible service. Supposedly, a new cell tower is being constructed in Grand Junction by AT&T and should be finished by November of 2011. Will see if that helps, until then, thank you AT&T for paying my bill. I guess I can live with these dropped calls at YOUR expense. If your service is as bad as I described above, keep talking with AT&T until you also do not have to pay your bill. We opened a new account with A&TT in October of 21', at that time the promotion was to turn in your phone from the carrier you were with and get a new phone with them and, also receiving credit for the turned in phones. Up to $1,000.00. We turned in (4) phones, Three of the four started receiving credit after a couple of months but, the fourth line was being charged at full price. Living 120 mls from the store we made numerous calls and every time we were in Grand Junction we would stop by to see if this could be rectified. After about six months of still no credit for the $1,000.00 phone, the individual that the phone was turned into started making manual payments at the store. This happened 4 times and then it stopped. We went into the store to see what was up and learned he (Jason) was no longer working there. As we were discussing the issue, another individual from our small area was there and stated the same thing happened to him. We were all then told that what was going on was that as we had cleared our phones to be turned in, the employees at the time were then stealing and reselling them. We have tried every avenue to fix this to no avail. A&TT does not want to cover it because they never received the phone and the store has a turn over rate weekly if not daily. Horrible experience! I have my own business and would never treat my customers this way! The first person I contacted was fantastic. I had to go back to store later, and the second person I came in contact with did nothing but give me excuses why what I was trying to accomplish wasnt going to work out. Then he proceeded to tell me that it doesnt really matter to him because he's salary and wasn't on commission. And if AT&T had an issue with that then his union would come to his defense. This man has completely forgotten who is paying his wage-The customer. We were able to get everything accomplished over the phone. After contacting Corporate customer service we found out that there was a reason they only have one star for customer service! The reason I gave one star is for the first customer service representive. He was fantastic, don't remember his name but he was of Asian descent. read more

STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS STORE AND ITS LYING REPS! I came in asking to add international services to my goPhone line . They said I had to switch from prepaid to postpaid. Being an AT&T wireless customer in one form or another since 2007, I asked very detailed questions such as, "can I still use tethering on the postpaid plan?" Every one of my items I was concerned about they said, "no problem". Well they LIED, I assume to get some kind of a commission. I had to drive to the Montrose store to go back to prepaid. Avoid the AT and T store like the plague or minimally, do not sign any contract without your attorney present. In short, the AT and T sales representative convinced us that our current plan was a bad deal and he could give us a better rate. The sales representatives do not have an understanding of contracts and are simply trying to make the sale. in short, we lost unlimited cellular and we are paying a higher price on 4 phones for 2 years. I don't mind waiting for service when the store is understaffed and busy. But when I walk in to the store and wait around for 10 minutes to get put on the waiting list and NEVER get greeted, I leave and start looking for another company. I would rate this store a minus 10. Purchased an I-phone. No to minimal cell service and when pone upgraded, would no longer work. The reps at this AT&T store would not stand behind it, stating only Apple could fix it. Apple stated they would try, but would not guarantee, and would cost $39.00 minimum - for a problem their upgrade caused. And their fix didn't work. So I now had a $300 phone that wouldn't work after Apples software upgrade with an AT&T service poorly supported by cell service-and the reps just stood there unwilling to help. I'm now back with Verizon. I would not use this store again. read more

Went into the store today to transfer one on the lines on my family account to another at&t account. The first person who helped me was great. Very informative and professional. When I returned to check on the progress two new people helped me. They were awful. They told me my plan would automatically change from family to individual without me doing anything. I thought that sounded strange so I called at&t when I got home. Sure enough, nothing had changed. I had planned on buying a new phone today, however when I asked the sales representatives about the two phones I was decided between, they just said "I like my android but it's whatever." I asked about the differences, asked about battery life, etc. They could not provide any information. I decided to not give them any of my money. I will go to a different location, or purchase my new phone online. Very disappointed. read more

I went into the AT&T Store on Sept.12, 2014. One of the Reps. took my Sims card out of the older AT&T Nokia cell phone, and put it into my new Samsung AT&T cell phone. He then supposedly transferred my information over, and my cell phone was good to go. I got home and found that this Sims card is NOT compatible with my new Samsung cell phone. Also, I don't have service with my new Samsung, and I have at least $135 worth of minutes on my GO Phone. Now, I have to make a trip back to the store because the Rep. didn't set it up correctly to begin with. He should have known better. One STAR is too good for this store. read more
