Buyer beware! This store is not to be trusted!…read more Last month we had a misleading experience similar to the review from 5/31/19. On May 21, 2019, we entered what we thought was a Verizon store (the Verizon signage on the storefront is very clear) and were told by the sales manager that it was the final day of a joint promotion offered by Verizon and Google for a free Pixel 3 phone. We were assured that by taking advantage of this promotion and by making some other changes, our monthly Verizon bill would actually be lower than when we arrived. Imagine our shock when our monthly Verizon bill came later, not lower but significantly higher!! We immediately called Verizon and were informed this is not a Verizon store, it is a Victra store, a third party retailer, "an indirect store for Verizon" that acts independently, and there was no free Pixel promotion for May. Our "free" cell phone was actually a Verizon-leased phone that cost $830 to be paid over two years in monthly lease fees! Never once were we told about the $830 cost or that there would be any monthly financing through Verizon. Furthermore, there were additional monthly service fees and two 24-month contracts set up that the sales manager had also failed to inform us about. Outraged, we went right back to the Victra store and confronted the sales manager. We told him we were promised a free phone because of the promotion we were led to think we were getting, and his response was that he didn't say "free," he said "like free." He refused to budge and refused to honor the free phone promotion. And now we're stuck. Stuck paying a ridiculous amount of money for a phone we, as seniors on a fixed income, would never have otherwise bought, and fooled by other persistent upselling sales practices, as well. Don't be betrayed and taken advantage of by Victra the way we were. Be careful.

After starting the new phone process, the salesman, who I believe is the main manager, offered her an iPad deal. She said she didn't want it. We do not need an iPad. He came back and said why wouldn't you it's free in store and kept fast talking her. Thinking that it was free (plus the side effects of the cancer has her not as sharp minded as she used to be), she agreed. We find out when get the bill that free in store means you do not pay in the store. It's financed plus their is a line charge. The free iPad will set us back $350+ when it's all done. We tried to return the unused iPad. There was no admission that what was said could be misleading and the manager just double down that his sales pitch is fine. Asking him to make amends and undo the transaction was no use. Just stood behind the early termination clause and a penalty that is more than the $350. My opinion. They are not reputable.

The staff is incompetent, unprofessional and argumentative. They gave me a router/gateway in an already-opened box that the rep swore was unused, but which ultimately turned out to be defective. Then they made excuses as to why they could not exchange it without the manager's approval, who was conveniently not working that day. My advice is to take your business 3.5 miles west to the OFFICIAL T-Mobile store at 7617 Mentor Ave, where they cheerfully took care of my issue without needing a manager's approval, even though I had gotten the device at another store. That's the summary ... if you want more details, continue reading, but consider yourself warned. My elderly non-tech-savvy mom simply needed an internet connection for her new TV. She lives on the other side of town from me, a 90-minute round trip (which becomes important once the trouble starts). So I pick up my mom, and we go to this location (an additional 30-minutes round trip from her place), not realizing that "authorized retailers" are independent companies, and their employees are not properly trained T-Mobile representatives. As mentioned above, they gave us an open-box device, but insisted it was brand new. I had no reason not to trust them at this point, so we took it home and set it up. Two days later, it failed. So another 90 minute trip to mom's, plus considerable time on the phone with tech support, who eventually instructed me to return the device to the store and get a replacement. So now, another 30-minute trip to the store, where the rep insisted that only the manager with an "authorization code" could approve an exchange. Of course, the manager was not working that day, and there was no assistant who could act in the manager's absence. I mentioned to the rep that I had already spent 4 hours driving to set this up (not to mention dragging an 84 year old woman around town twice), and asked whether there wasn't a way to contact the manager and get his approval. The rep very rudely asked me, "So you think the manager should work 24/7?" When I asked if another nearby T-Mobile store could help us, the rep (again very rudely) told us that exchanges could only be made at the same store the device was sold. As it turns out, the rep flat-out lied, because we actually took the device immediately to the other store mentioned above, and they were very helpful. In fact, we were told at the second store that there is NO "authorization code" and that ANY rep can exchange equipment at any time. Bottom line ... do not patronize this store. Go to the "real" T-Mobile location. When it was all over, this horrible business wasted more than 8 hours of my time, between driving, time spent setting up the equipment, and phone time with tech support, not to mention the high cost of gas to drive all over town. I will never do business here again, and you shouldn't either. I would give this location ZERO stars if it was possible. You have been warned.

After an hour wait plus some Cody set up our new plan which wasn't the best but we needed atleast 1 new phone upgrade so it is what it is. They didn't have the phone we went there for so they had to order it...annoying but again it is what it is. Cody said it would be at my house in 2 days. Fedex tried to deliver it and I didn't realize I had to sign for it but that makes since given the amount of the phone. I left a signed slip to leave it the next day..fedex lied and said they came when I know for a fact they did not..so I called and they said no problem they would leave it the next day....they did not just put another note next to my signed one!!! I had to drive to Bedford to get it. I go in to have it activated like Cody told me to do and I wait again over 35 minutes when I was told 25. Just to activate a phone that should have been in stock. OK the man with a thick accent (didn't get his name)but seemed like he had some management authorities finally helped me when I told him I was getting frustrated...I was finally leaving and done..I thought until I seen the next day I had no data. I went back and they tried to tell me I had to wait AGAIN. 2 people ahead of me. I said I'm not waiting and I saw this girl whom I knew was the manager because Cody rudely said he would be back in the middle of helping us to go say hi to his manager Alexa came in with her child. I recognized her and she had seen me the second time I came in... I asked her if she was a manager and she said yes...I told her what the issue was and how frustrated I was and she offered no apology what so ever. She said the esim was not connecting to the right phone number. I tried to aske her if the man who put the Sim card in should have done it and she had stupid excuses..even at one point telling me Bedford should have done it! I told her Bedford was where fedex was and she thought I went to Bedford to get the buy the phone because she didn't listen to a word I said. I will never go back to this verizon. My whole experience getting a new phone and paying alot of money was horrible and not even an apology. Worst management worst customer service!
