I'll cut right to the chase: Central Lincoln PUD is shady and I don't like the way they do…read morebusiness. They require a deposit of $185 just to put the electricity bill in your name, and you don't get the money back until after a year. I'm living in a small apartment here for 5 months... $185 is an excessive deposit for a situation like that. I've paid bills to two other electric companies in Oregon and I never had to pay a deposit of any sort to them, even though the Lincoln PUD lady tried to convince me that this is a common practice in the state (it's not). I guess they have figured out that they can inflict any kind of hardship they want to on me since they are the only power company in Newport, so I am forced to take my only course of action which is to whine long and loud about it and not buy food or gas for awhile. In short, Central Lincoln PUD has sketchy, strange, Machiavellian business practices, and if I had an option to give my money to a different power company I definitely would. Nothing gets me riled up like being cheated out of my hard-earned money with nothing to show for it and for no apparent reason. On my first day here, I am extremely unimpressed with them, which does not bode well for the next 5 months that I must be their unwilling customer.

On Saturday/Sunday and through weekend visitor traffic that can take a while. Even so, I'd readily choose to undertake the journey over any Verizon telephone tech support - any day - after the excellent service I received today!

The management is inexperienced and has no business serving the public. I am still on a family plan as a 48 year old person, with my mom as the primary account holder. My mom is experiencing Alzheimer's, and had a very difficult time following through with the process of dialing 611/adding me to the account as a decision-maker. We tried over three store tips/48 hours. All I need to do is activate a phone on an account we have collectively had for over a decade. As a last resort, I asked the store manager to call my mother, I thought that he was willing to take her vocal acknowledgment, in addition to calling the primary account number, as a possible route to a solution. Nope, he called my poor mom to keep repeating the single way, that had not been working for multiple tries her for 48 hours, confusing her and making her upset, he handed the phone to me because he wasn't successful and was getting frustrated with my mom. I tried to explain it another three times, trying to help her take notes. When I got frustrated with him because I thought he was participating in a solution instead of just adding another voice to what was confusing her .... and I asked if a different representative could help me, he asked me to leave, went into the back and called police to have me detained and served with a criminal trespass. Yep, removed by police. Again customer for ten+ years have never had any issues with T-Mobile. I was sitting at a coffee table, thinking he went in the back to cool off, and the police came to remove me threatening handcuffs. I think he was embarrassed in front of his staff, that he was failing so miserably was such a simple task, and he just wanted me to leave. This is obviously something only a 20-year-old manager would do. I know it's frustrating. I am more than frustrated, i'm heartbroken for the real issues in life, not the ones this impatient nonprofessional just created. You've been warned. Be nice out there!

They are unwilling to do so the company not us as customers the company itself is unwilling to send out this return kit so we can mail back their product But they are 100% willing to charge us the 7999 until they get their stuff back. I hope you enjoy looking in the city dump dude because no one's driving 3 1/2 hours to drop off a box that's ridiculous.

Customer service is a joke, I feel bad for them because spectrum keeps them on such a tight script they cannot even act human. He even went to another store to get the phone I wanted because his shipment had not come in yet. He took the time to set it up, fought my old carrier to keep my number and answer all my questions. He made sure I had what a wanted even though he was busy. I HAVE NEVER had a sales person treat me with the respect and kindness that Chris did. His sense of humor was an added bonus.
