So, came here the day after Christmas with my mum to switch phones (I gave her my old phone so I could use my new phone). I totally didn't even think that it would be busy because duh, after Christmas everyone wants to set up their new devices. NOTE: they do take appointments We got here around like 5:30ish (had to come when I was off of work) and they were definitely busy, so we put our name down on the list. I think we only waited like 15-20 minutes? Really not that terrible. They had a little couch thing for us to sit on. Chris was our helper. He was amazing and super patient (we were there until like 8 :( ) First we needed to add my mum to my phone plan thing, get her a new number, basically start from scratch. The whole shebang. My mum is very particular on numbers, mostly just so she can have something super, super easy to remember. Trying to find a number took at least a good 15 minutes or so (I wish I was joking). But Chris was patient and super helpful throughout the whole process. The next long part was transferring all my shit from my old phone to my new phone. NOTE: back your contacts to iCloud! (I uploaded alllll my photos and everything onto my laptop the night before because I had a lot of photos, but I didn't have my contacts backed up to iCloud..) transferring like a million (6,000+ photos) from one phone to the next took about 30 minutes, a little more (or so it felt). Transferring all my mum's stuff was a breeze because during my long ass transfer time, I backed her stuff up onto her iCloud so we wouldn't be stuck in the same predicament. Anyway, we were there for what seemed liked ever. But Chris was very patient, helpful and friendly throughout the entire process. Super annoyed!!! Went in this afternoon to make some changes to our plan and upgrade a device. Kept running into issues back to back. Seemed like they don't know what they were doing. Left us alone for long periods of time. No communication whatsoever. Had to place an online order in order to get my phone and paid for it and was told to come back in 2 hours. Came back and they still couldn't give me my phone. Let alone a receipt. Just more issues. All we were told was to come back and try again.. definitely wont be back here. Waste of time. This billion dollar company SUCKS. I tried the internet egg shaped device and I stream tv, I don't have any computers, laptops, or games. I only have two TVs in my phone. my TV kept freezing up so I called AT&T customer service and the guy said to my device east which I did and I didn't change anything he says are you close to your backyard and I said yes so the guy from AT&T customer service said, and I quote place the device on the table in the middle of your backyard and aim it east""unquote. Same results and I told the gentleman by the way this unit is out in the middle of my backyard accessible to all of the elements wind, extreme heat, rain theft, but he said leave it there and try and see if it works well I didn't so that day I called back canceled my service. This was in March 20 25 and on April 11. I went to the UPS store as directed by AT&T customer service and sent back The device. They gave me for Internet now I've been receiving a call seven days a week, including Saturday and Sunday from AT&T stating that they're gonna charge me $200 for this device because I haven't sent it back yet. Well I just got off the phone with them Explaining to them that I canceled my service which is just Internet in March and have the receipt from when I mailed it from the UPS store in Palm Desert on April 11, 2025 with a return reference number and the only thing they can tell me was I had to wait for my May and June Bill to come And pay it then they will close my account now why would I give them money for something I don't even have or have I've been using since March. Probably the WORST customer service I have EVER received! AT&T messed up on my bill and then shut my service off for their own error. I was told I had to pay over $600 to get it turned back on by the MANAGER of this store! Needless to say I did not pay and left the store in complete disbelief that they treat customers this way. After about 2 hours on the phone with AT&T customer service I was able to get my service restored at NO CHARGE and a ticket was issued to correct the original billing error. If you want good customer service steer clear of this store! They don't LISTEN to their customers and they certainly don't CARE!! My final thought...how do you as a MANAGER tell a customer they have to pay you over $600 to turn your phone service back on when your company messed up on the bill in the first place?!?!?! And then wonder why the customer gets really mad about it?!?! read more

Went in today to upgrade my phone. You can make an appointment online or they are doing walk-ins. However, due to COVID they are only allowing 1 person per party in the store, otherwise they can help you outside with multiple members from a distance. Pablo helped me out and he was great! I was honestly expecting to be here for 2 hours+ but I only ended up being there for 30-45 min, which to me is a HUGE success. Since usually in my past experiences the process is much longer. Pablo and the employees were really great, and he was able to assist me very well in a timely fashion. Overall I'm super happy with everything and just glad this didn't take my whole Saturday! read more

Always support this store since 2016 when i first got my iphone here, probably got around 6 phones from them for myself and family members. The problem came when i bought 2 phones from them last year, the one for my mom went without any issue, a week later came to buy another phone for my dad, the girl staff who helped me seemed she just started working there, she spent almost 2 hours from the paperwork and setting up the phone which made me hope things would ended asap, she didnt ask me what plans, protection, upgrade or none of that (cause she simply put me on all of them which i never asked from my entirely using phones), she did mention at the end if i see the large bill "do not worry" because it will go back to what it should be the next billing cycle ( great, i thought). My mistake was setting up autopay with my business account, realized ive been paying for full year over $1000 extra, panicking i came to their store to find a solution, one of staff member there helped me out and fulling understand the situation, he offered me 6 months credits of what i had paid extra but since it wasn't my fault I decided to ask for a store manager in hope with his power he will find a better for me, but i was completely wrong. He seemed nice saying he will do a research for better solution, 2 months went by i had to text him back because i am tired of this, i told him that i will take 6 months of credit if he doesn't have any better solution, what he replied was shocked me, "how can you come up with that amount?" He can only do 3 months!!! Realized that whether the staff that offered me 6 months at first was whether do not know their policies or the manager just refused to help a customer who always buy new phones in need to support their store. Michael was the rudest most offensive CSR I have ever dealt with. I wanted to transition my postpaid plan to a prepaid plan. Not a commissionable transaction it seems. After checking with his manager, I was informed that they could not effect this change. Why? Their store system, being different from the Corporate system apparently wouldn't allow it. "Try calling AT&T", which I had done and been advised to go to a store. When I mentioned that this could cost them a customer, I was told "I don't own AT&T so I don't care what you do". Incredible! Another CSR tried to explain the situation and Michael told me not to talk to her. I don't know how he could possibly work in customer service. read more

I am now out over $600 because their sales associate not only lied to me but coerced me to get the most expensive watch that was supposed to be free as a first responder. Now I'm paying for it because he told me it would work on any network since First net is separate from AT&T and that was false. I have never been treated so poorly by management and customer service reps. They did not care to fix their mistake at all. All I'm going to say is this solidified the move to Verizon for good. I'm a cheap-ass bastardess when it comes to my cell phone. I use it for traveling, and connecting up with friends when we are out and about. So I only have a go-phone, with the pay as you go plan. After one year and one week, just after my warranty ended, my go-phone died. I happened to be in PD visiting my mom so off we went to the AT&T store. My visit to the store started off poorly because I waited in line for 15 minutes. Then, because my phone was the cheapie $20 phone, the girl behind the counter didn't have that model in the store and consequently, she couldn't tell whether the culprit was my phone or its battery. She did rule out the charger which is generic to several different phones. This meant I had to spend another 15 minutes waiting for her to find my battery online through AT&T because they don't make that phone any more (of course!). Then I had to give her my credit card info so that she could order a $5 battery. Hassling a customer to provide a credit card for a $5 item that is returnable anyway, just strikes me as a dumb policy wasting everyone's time. I would have just bought a new phone, except that the AT&T store's version was $40, and like I said, I'm cheap. It took a week for the battery to arrive, and the store DID NOT call me as promised. I called them, was on hold for 10 minutes, and finally found out they had the battery. Back to the store where again, I waited 15 minutes. On the plus side, we were able to try the battery right there, and when it didn't work, they returned my $5 immediately. This time I was waited on by a different person, a guy who said, "Go to Wal-mart because they have our $40 go-phone for just $15." Go figure! I did that and have been very happy with my new phone. Next time I'm going to Wal-Mart from the gitgo and will skip the AT&T store altogether. So, while I wasted tons of time at the AT&T store, I do love my cheap-bastard service through AT&T. In case anyone else is a cheap cell-phone bastard, here's the scoop: Once a year I pay $100, and get 440 minutes because they give a $10 bonus when you buy $100 dollars worth of minutes that are good for an entire year. Since my cell phone usage is so small, I bank about $75 in extra minutes that carry over to the following year. I am forced to buy another $100 in order to roll these over at the end of each year, but there are no monthly fees, no contract, and I can roll my minutes over to another AT&T plan should I ever wish to upgrade. AT&T charges 25 cents per minute whether I'm the caller or the receiver, and 20 cents per text message, sent or received. However, I'm still only paying $8.33 a month for a phone so I'm good with that. Additionally, I know how to text other phones directly from my computer, so now you can see what a cheap bastardess I really am when it comes to paying for my cell phone. ;-) read more

I've been an AT&T Customer for 6 years. I've been to stores in many states in my travels. This is the worst service I have ever received in a retail setting. I was visiting Palm Desert, (72-286 Highway 111) and having trouble with my Crackberry Bold. Being addicted, I searched out the store. I called the store, around 4:00 on Friday afternoon (11/19). No answer, just a recording. Google maps was not close to locating it well. After driving around, I called again 10 minutes later. No answer. Called back, got the message again, and got the "directions" from the outgoing message:" We're in the Mervyn's shopping Center". Great! Except I can't find that on Google maps. Called Again. and again. I Finally got a human, who told me, "oh, yeah, that Mervyns closed about a year ago..." Gee, thanks for updating your phone system...what do you guys sell again? So I showed up to the store near where-Mervyn's-used-to-be. There are a couple of people being helped. Fine, I can wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. 45 minutes later, those people are still being waited on. Wow. Now there are 5 people lined up behind me. Here's the kicker - do you suppose, that one of the employees, including the manager, might have made eye contact, said hello, said sorry, we're busy, offered up any sort of contact? Nope, nothing. So I left a note, asking the simple question I had. I had to go behind the counter to get the pen, but still no eye contact. So I Ieft the note - here's my question, please call me. (And this is a pretty much a yes-or-no kind of question. I thought they'd call when their rush was over, or at the end of the day, maybe. Maybe early the next day, when they weren't so busy. Hmmmm, not so much. Here we are, TWO MONTHS later. I'm pretty sure they're not going to call. But AT&T, if you do, feel free to call me on my new VERIZON phone.... And now you finally delivered my beloved iPhone which I chose not to stand in line with as other people have. Walked in on Sun, had it delivered by Fri. Nice job! Syncing up with my car was easy via bluetooth and so far no complaints except for the damn contact organization methods. Nice friendly service here and no waiting here especially when its about 110 degrees. Worst service ever... I had called ahead for a specific item and was told it was available. Showed up 20 minutes later, only to wait an additional 30 minutes for two incredible slow clerks to finish assisting two people. During my wait, two additional clerks came out, punched something into the computer and disappeared, being certain to keep eyes averted from the growing group of restless customers. Once I reached the counter and inquired about the equipment, I was told they did not have it but they were expecting it the next day. Could they say 'when'? No. Why did they say they had it? I personally have always been helped correctly, friendly, and so forth, never a problem, I am a lucky one. I have overheard employees(not all) talking to customers about phones and gadgets and they have NO IDEA what they are talking about. Example: a female employee told a customer that there's no difference between their iPhone 3S and the new iPhone 5 besides the screen size which is wrong in every sense of it. I almost jumped into the convo to help the employee out, she just honestly had NO idea. I would do some of your own research on gadgets before going, not just into this location but anywhere, a lot of employees are there to take up space, and ring people up, not really for technical questions regardless of now technical you're looking for. read more

I just read the reviews of this store and noticed the most recent one was over a year ago. Perhaps that explains why my experience was so different from everyone else. In a word, amazing. And I am not taken to saying that about a mobile retail store. I went in to upgrade my iPad. I wanted the 64GB in white, which they had, but couldn't get it to activate (it was being shown as not in their inventory). Imagine that, a glitch in the AT&T computer system. The rep that helped me (Vincent) was unfazed. I did have to settle for a black iPad but he offered accessories at a significant discount that made it worth going for the other color (as if it really matters anyway). My credit card was initially declined because I was traveling out of state. After rectifying the situation with Amex on my end, their computer system still declined the sale. Another AT&T glitch (laughable at this point). Again, Vincent was unfazed. He called up the merchant and got it approved. While AT&T as a company may not place a priority on customer service, this store did. And that is why I say, go here! The fifth star is absent only because of all the glitches, not for the store itself. read more

When I previously came to this location to add a line for my husband and trade in our phones we had a wonderful experience. Today, when I brought my parents to purchase new phones, it was no different. We were initially assisted by Miguel, who was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and just so personable. Typically when it comes to getting new phones for my parents it can be a bit of hassle and somewhat stressful, but this time around that simply wasn't the case. Miguel broke down all the possible plan and phone options, and didn't pressure us to choose one plan over another--something that I really appreciated. Ultimately, we decided to get my parents the iPhone 12, and trade in their old phones. Pablo was able to help us trade in the phones, which was the last step, and he was equally knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. During the process of transferring my parents data to their new phones I encountered some issues and returned to the store for a third time. This last time I was assisted by Dom, and it was par for the course. Everyone was so friendly, and so welcoming! Thank you so much to the all star AT&T team Miguel, Pablo and Dom for your help! My parents are thrilled about their new phones and I couldn't be happier with the service we received. read more

The worst experience at this store. Why make an appointment when they could care less about the appointment. Arrived 15 minutes early, a young lady approached me and asked me my name. Gave her my name and the time of my appointment. She advised me to sit in an area and I would be called. Never saw her again. I sat there for 45 minutes and watched and listened to employees talk about their children and birthday parties. I asked several times how long I should be waiting, and the response was "don't know". After an hour (I was 15 minutes early), I walked out and there was another person who did the same. I am leaving AT&T and going to Verizon. read more

I don't even have AT&T, but when we spoke with one of the best salesman we have ever had the pleasure of working with, I was ready to join. If it weren't for the fact that Verizon offers better service, I would of traded services just from our meeting alone. He handled a very difficult situation that we did not see being fixed and even lowered my friends overall bill without changing the amount of usage. Wonderful experience!
