Not good impression. Makes me think these guys aren't trained well. I didn't come to buy a phone. I came to number one talk about an international travel plan and number two see if I can get a better monthly phone plan. Upon talking to Juan, he told me that the best way to use my phone internationally was the international day pass at $10 a phone for the first phone and an additional five dollars for the next phone. Apparently AT&T doesn't have any other type of international plan. On to my monthly phone plan, I had noticed a new totally unlimited plan (unlimited premium) that with no data caps. When I asked Juan about better plans he said the plan that I had was the best that I could do upon showing him that when I looked up the plans on my phone there was a plan that said it was $20 cheaper than my current plan. So he said well with all the taxes and everything it will end up being about the same as what you're paying now. This causes me to scratch my head. It says it's $20 cheaper than what I have now and it's completely unlimited. So, wouldn't this be a better plan for me? I didn't want to be rude and ask to speak to someone else, but I really did consider it. It makes me think that these people aren't after my best interest and maybe this guy isn't very knowledgeable. read more

I went yesterday to turn in an old phone for account credit and had an amazing experience with Aissa. She went above and beyond to help us out. I tried buying an Apple Watch but had an issue with a past credit through the company and she went out of her way to contact multiple people and made sure to get the issue taken care for me. She even saved me about 80 dollars a month on internet. I wish everyone's customer service was as amazing as hers but if you guys have a chance to read this review, ASK FOR AISSA!!! read more

My new phone quit working and it was so refreshing that Samantha worked with me to figure out the problem when 2 phone calls to AT&T customer service could not figure out what was wrong. Samantha was thought to try a new sim card and found that the old sim card wasn't working right even though it was only a few mos old. This store is so much better than the one closer to is (near the the new HEB on Potranco) . I have been there three times asking my for service and each time have been told that it is too difficult to transfer a family member to another service or that it was impossible to transfer my phone contacts, apps and data to my new phone w/o loading old contacts 1 by 1 to my new phone. Each time he said that nothing can be done, I was able to fix it in a short period of time AND I'M AN IDIOT WHEN IT COMES TO TECHNOLOGY. Each time, I left the store frustrated while the big dumb idiot who "served" us went back to his 1st love: playing games on his phone. Anyway, this is a shout-out to Samantha at the Potranco and 1604 store. Each time I need help I will go here. I don't even want to recommend AT&T. They're quick to come out and setup and sign me up for for service but when I ask the installation manager and the installer who was there the day I moved into my brand new build home. They both reassured me they will bury their utility pole and the fiber optic cable. Here I am 1 year and 3 months later and I'm still trying to get them to come out and they lie lie lie lie lie. I made and appointment and was seen right away. It was a slow night for them because there was about three employees waiting to assist people. It was kind of confusing to figure out who the employees were, but once I found one, she helped me with my issue. She wasn't the friendliest, but did her job and got me in and out within 15minutes. The only thing that I suggest is for employees to put their personal phone away. The employee helping me was on her personal phone the whole time. I saw her personal pics and saw her texting. Shout out to Edwin! Took my device in after the phone/chat reps had issues several months in a row sending out the trade in kit for a $800 promotion. He let me know it could take 1-3 billing cycles for the credits to roll in, but I'm confident that's the timeframe some backend team gives them. He took my device, gave me a receipt, and must have processed what he needed to right away. It did take 10 minutes for him to come back into the store lobby but heck I can't complain. I try not to go to the AT&T store in Alamo Ranch because I know I'll be there for a while. But every once in awhile I have to visit this store. It's always clean and well-organized, but can get busy. After trying for a week to get a technical issue resolved over the phone I decided it was time for a face-to-face with AT&T. Today was the day. I was having technical issues with the WatchTV app. I rolled in a few minutes after open to try and cut down the time I'd be there. We were greeted at the door by John Kyle who also helped us. We explained the issue and he got right on fixing it. It took a few minutes for him to troubleshoot, but he calmly worked through it. In a rather short time, we walked out with 2 phones with working WatchTV apps. I'm sorry to hear that it was his last day at the Alamo Ranch store, but happy for the Bastrop store, which will benefit from his knowledge and expertise as manager. read more

Horrible experience. I went in to exchange chargers that I had purchased. They didn't have the items that I needed. I didn't have the credit card I paid with since my intention was not to return but exchange. I asked if it could be automatically refunded or if I could be given a credit since I was going to order the other chargers. The answer was no which I could understand but the his attitude. He was the manager so I was told. His name is Marcus/Marcos. He told me to come back tomorrow for a refund. He went to the extent of telling me "I'm doing you a favor by letting you come back tomorrow to return." I've been an AT&T customer since 2005. The worst experience ever. read more

I should give them a rating less than I am, but at the end of the day I was able to get what I needed working so I'll give an extra star for that. I purchased an iPad a while back and wanted to activate service on it, but I don't have service thru AT&T. I didn't want to end up paying that same $70+ that you end up for having a cell phone line just for a tablet, so I had done some digging around online and there was supposed to be a plan for iPads that was unlimited for a really reasonable amount of money (slightly more than what I was paying thru T-Mobile for prepaid). I chatted about the plan and no one knew what I was talking about even though it does exist (as I ended up getting it) -- so after three agents, I finally got one who knew what I was talking about and said go to the store, tell them the plan is called XYZ and ask for a SIM card and they should be able to get you all taken care of. Get to this store and the guy is adamant that this plan doesn't exist. Tell him - literally just got off the phone with AT&T and this is to a "t" what she said to tell you - he apologies and says I've been misinformed. Someone was coming out of the back room and overheard our conversation and he goes "oh yeah! That's the XYZ plan - you should be able to do 123 steps and set it up like normal and he should be good." The guy apologies and says disclaimer - I'm not sure if this is going to work and even if it does, if you're not supposed to have this plan (as he kept telling me I needed to add a line - which is not true, this is an add-on plan just for tablets) corporate may remove the rate. Fast forward, everything worked and to this day still have the plan. Now, had I not been so persistent, I would've ended up back on T-Mobile. So before you start discounting what someone's trying to tell you, listen -- that's why you have two ears and one mouth. Just saying. read more

What happened to the days of cell phone providers not making you bend over and take it up the ... well, you know. The employees DO NOT care about details, they know you're there for 1 reason - to buy a new phone. You'll walk out with a phone no matter what, they don't have to work for anything. If I wanted people rolling their eyes at my 'idiotic' questions I'd go to the Apple store - you're a minion to them. I went in to buy headphones and God forbid I didn't want the $200 pair ... I digress. My husband cracked his phone to the point where the touch screen no longer worked; insurance wouldn't cover it either - we didn't have insurance anyway but that's what the employee told us. What the heck is the point of insurance if it doesn't cover everything? So she shows us the current phone 5C he had or moving up to the 5S. Since we would have to pay the full price my husband picked the 5S, it was a $50 difference doing the monthly payments. If he wanted to pay upfront for a new phone, it would have been $600 but with the monthly payments it would total to $300. WTF? Why would a company not want payment up front and punish you for not doing monthly payments? Whatever, we obviously picked the monthly payment plan. On to the service agreement - he had to start a new 2 yr contract; he was only 1 yr in on his old contract. I guess they don't trust us? I'm confused. We asked about the new "family plans" that you see all over TV. It's bogus! We'd been paying $160 for 2 phones - this family plan claims that same service is only $130. HAHAHAHA. After fees and taxes we're still paying $160 a month. So we did switch to an actually family plan but we're not saving any money. It also costs you more to ask for less data. Strange, right? Hey, we were trying to find any way to save some money. ---- The 'upgrades' are lame - remember when it was time for an upgrade and you could get the newest phone for free? Or it was like 1 cent. Now if you want to upgrade you pay close to $200! Our last upgrade cost us $400 - HOLY COW! Yeah, our iPhone 4's literally stopped working - the brain of the phone crapped out so we had to get new phones. No way we'd get the same considering it sucked so the only choice was to get the 5C's. I guess we could have gone with the iPhone 3's for 2 cents. How kind of them to make downgrades 'free'. ---- Oh, the dumb employee tried to sell us this new product that guarantees your screen won't crack (says so on the box). So I asked her if that company (who makes the product) will replace my phone for free if the screen does crack; she laughed and then realized I was serious. I told her to do her research and not force a product on customers unless she knows all answers. She just lost an extra $60 sale (each protector is $30ish). Then my husband asked for his contacts to be transferred to his new phone. Since the touch screen was broken he couldn't unlock it and it needs to be for this to happen. The employee told him to go to one of those Mr. Fix It phone type places (she whispered it into his ear, which was so freaking strange), they have the ability to "hack" in to phones. Wait, AT&T can't do that? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! With all of the technology that is in the store there isn't a tech repair person who can get into a locked phone? --- We know we'll keep going back and have a piece of our souls taken with each phone 'upgrade' and contract renewal. These companies know they have you by your gonads - it's a vicious cycle. read more

Went in as a walk in even though I had an appointment at 530. She didn't even look at me as she walked up to me and asked can I help you. I told her I needed to get my phone looked at, it's acting up. She looked at my phone and asked if it's an I phone. I told her yes. She said we can't help you with diagnosis, we don't do that here. You "have to go to apple. " speaking in a hurry. It was clear she didn't want me there. " we can't help you with fixing your app". I tied her, I don't have a problem with my app. Again she asked me, do you have an IPhone. She spoke again but at this point it was clear she didn't want to help me and suggested I take out to apple in LaCantera making assumptions about me. She never offered any other information. I knew but asked, are there any other apple stores closer? She said, yes there is one off a hey called 410, in a place called North Star Mall. That was completely prejudice and I am COMPLETELY OFFENDED. The manager needs to train his employees in customer service. There was no name tag which is probably why, because they don't want people holding them accountable for their poor behavior towards customers. If you want better service than 18 year olds who probably are barely able to graduate, I suggest a different store. read more

Terrible experience from beginning to end. It was hard to tell who the employees were and due to the store being so crowded, I was immediately overwhelmed with trying to figure out who worked there and who didn't. The staff weren't very friendly either. I had decided to leave another carrier for AT&T and I wasn't impressed. When I had entered the store, I was placed 3rd on the waiting list. I was told that the wait would be 20 minutes, but I ended up waiting almost two hours! On top of that, the staff member who assisted me was rude, unprofessional, and didn't seem to know what he was doing. I ended up leaving the store and going to another carrier instead. read more

This representative cándido flores, lied to me about the type of internet service I would receive. He told me I would receive 1000 mbp for $80. I currently have spectrum, 500 mbp for $76. Therefore, I signed up for At&T internet. Today a technician came by set up the internet upon final review I asked him if I now had 1000mbp and he said no only 100. I called customer service and after a 48 minute call I was finally able to cancel services, never spoke to a manager about this inconvenience, and lastly after an hour at the store, 4 hours of installation, an hour on the phone At&T expects ME to uninstall the equipment which I have no idea how to do and then waste my gas to drive to the ups store to drop off the equipment. Oh!!! But "no worries we won't charge you for that". Such a huge nightmare and inconvenience this has caused me, thinking about canceling all services. read more

Horrible experience. I was waited on by the manager. When I ordered the phone, they offered the option of paying the sales tax now or deferring it to my next bill. I deferred it. This so-called manager changed it so that I had to pay the tax at the store. I was about to pay when my wife reminded me that we could just have the phone shipped. So I told the manager, Arturo Gutierrez, to cancel my order. He said he would. I kept checking my account and it was showing the order was still active. I told him that it was still showing it active and not canceled. He said he canceled it and walked away. I finally had to contact AT&T and have someone cancel it as it WAS NOT canceled. I informed him that I finally got it canceled by contacting AT&T, something that he should have done and he kept insisting that he canceled it even after I told him that I had to contact AT&T to cancel it. He just started saying dismissively, "Have a nice day!" If he had only spent as much time attempting to cancel my order as he did trying to up-sell me on insurance and protective cases this may have been a better review. Turns out I was able to order and get same-day delivery for free. I'll not bother ever setting foot in that store again! read more

What a great team working at this store. We have been in twice and both were excellent experiences. Ashley supported us as we switched plans and I purchased a new phone. Technically smart and she made great recommendations. Both Ashley and Manager Steve went to our car to sync the new phone. Not a common experience with us. This team needs to go to the Fairfax Circle AT&T store in Virginia and do an intervention on customer service. I would highly recommend this location. read more

I brought my mom to this store to get a new phone. We waited for about 25 minutes before we were finally called and we were greeted by a woman (I believe her name was Ashley. She was in her late 20s, wearing cowboy boots, and had dark hair and glasses.) Anyways, she seemed nice and friendly and genuinely wanted to help. However, things went downhill after the initial greeting. She suggested that my mom sign up for the AT&T Next program and explained it immediately. She was extremely pushy even after my mom declined her suggestion. I backed my mom up and said she was not interested because it would add X amount of dollars to her bill, but was eligible for an upgrade and would like to get a new phone. She put her hands on her hips and began complaining about how expensive her phone bill is and told me that I could have her bill if I'd like because hers is $500. We finally got her to be quiet about her bill (because who really cares?!) and my mom told her that she'd like to get an Android. The saleswoman scoffed and asked if I'd be around to answer all of the questions she was sure my mom would have about how to work her new phone. I explained that my mom is a smart lady and I had full faith in her abilities to navigate a new phone. She sarcastically said, "ooookaaay" and continued to try to upsell my mom even after she had chosen her phone already. After the saleswoman went to the back to retrieve my mom's phone, she returned and began setting it up, pausing to talk about herself and where she lives, how she met her husband, and what she likes about her neighborhood. We listened but were just there to get a phone. My friend was with us and suggested that my mom get a case so that her phone would be protected and her screen wouldn't break again. Again, the saleswoman had something snarky to say. She scoffed and called my friend a "smart ass." While we were looking at the cases, another salesperson rudely pushed my mom out of the way so that he could get to the cases to show his customer the cases. About 40 minutes later and countless minutes spent listening to the saleswoman talk about herself, the phone was set up and my mom was finally paying for it. While at the register, my husband joined us and she commented on his hat. She said that she had shown her husband the exact same hat at the store but he deemed it "too fruity." She then asked if my husband had the matching shoes, to which he said yes and she again began laughing and saying they were "fruity." In the end, this visit took well over an hour. We went to get a phone for my mom and got insulted in the process, were treated like we were idiots, and were laughed at. It is imperative that this saleswoman learns to treat customers with respect or finds another line of work. If I were you, I'd go to another AT&T store just to avoid having to deal with this pushy and disrespectful saleswoman. read more

The service really slowed down after I downstreamed. I finally returned every thing to the local branch, and the retailer said everything was okay. I then started getting contacts from collections agencies about owing them over $500. To this day, I refuse to pay or do any business with this company. read more
