I will not be returning to this store after being given incorrect pricing for AT&T internet service due to an employee's mistake. When I addressed this with Ken, the manager, I would take care of it another day. As I tried to discuss why my accounts were not syncing when I agreed to the service. At that point, I was accused of making a threat after I asked Ken multiple times if he was serious. I made sure to choose my words carefully and did not raise my voice. Ken then asked me if I had ever worked in customer service, bringing up an incident in Michigan. I responded that I had over 20 years of experience in customer service, but we were not in Michigan. Given my background, I recognized that he was trying to divert attention to avoid answering my questions and to justify asking me to leave. He offered an apology, but it felt insincere since he did not specify what he was apologizing for. I continued to conduct myself professionally during the rest of the exchange. When I called customer service, they said they would file an investigation. However, I don't expect to receive any resolution or acknowledgment regarding what happened. If store employees cannot assist customers, what is the point of having a store, especially when they set up accounts but are unable to resolve issues?
