I drove 40 minutes to erie tonight to get pool water sampled…read more I arrived at 7:30 pm. The open sign was on and a sign on the door with its hours 10am to 8pm. A young man met me at the door saying they were closed. Mind you this is 1/2 hour before posted closing time. (On line says 8 pm also) I told him I had driven 40 minutes to get there than he closed the door and shut off the open sign. Not a way to run a business !!

We were charged twice for equipment and when I complained about all of this the store manager was very nasty and said I should read their contract. Thy were rude except when we were buying it. I made two payments before it was even installed and made a rather large downpayment Do not go here. We hired someone and spent an entire day cleaning up the mess they left and moving the dirt and sand by hand. There are other pool places in Erie and the surrounding areas Go there. And be sure to read the contract! I would never do business with them again Not even for a pool toy

The building itself neighbors a Ross and Michaels as well as many other retail stores and restaurants in this area. Parking can be fairly easy no matter what time of day or evening you come. They also have very respectable hours being open Monday-Thursday from 9:30am-9:30pm, Friday from 9:30am-10:00pm, and Sunday from 11:00am-8:00pm. As many people know, HomeGoods is also part of TJX who also operate TJ Maxx and Marshall's stores around the United States, Canada, and even some European countries. HomeGoods mainly focuses on small furniture items, linens/bedding, cooking products, ceramic dinnerware, lighting, art, area rugs and other home accessories including candles, perishable food items, pet accessories, and bath decor. During my visit which was on the evening of Friday 9/15/2023 at around 8:00pm, the Erie, PA location had a decent amount of customers while the store itself was very well stocked. One employee was organizing pillows while another was sweeping the floor. I did also witness several sales associates ringing customers up as the line moved rather quickly. Again, many retail stores including this "HomeGoods" can be very busy depending on the time of day you shop. They also carry quite a bit of seasonal items to spruce up your home; autumn/Halloween from Sep-Nov, Christmas from Nov-Dec, so on and so forth. Located just off Peach Street about 1 1/2 miles from I-90 I found Mel & Tee's easy enough. The front half of the store is mainly a hobby shop, some cool stuff but not what I was looking for. Luckily there is a door to the back of the store which is stuffed with a wide variety of items, collectibles, furniture, home goods and enough to keep you looking for a little while. For me the only item that interested me was a vintage wood stick puppet from Java/Indonesia. The puppet stood out as a very unique and high-quality item, although it did have a bit of damage to one of the hands. The price was about right, but a bit more then I wanted to spend. Luckily I started talking to the very nice lady at the register and she said that they were willing to deal on the item. I made a bid at the lower end of what I thought was fair and she accepted. I ended up getting a great one-of-a-kind item at great price. If you are looking to check out a local thrift store in Erie, Pa. I would suggest giving Mel & Tee's a try, not the biggest place but the fun is finding something you never expected; also really nice when you can negotiate a bit to get what you want.
