I had a way better experience than my first experience in 2016ish. This place is so much cleaner now! Way more organized than the dusty heaps it was before. Pricing is a lot more clear. Displays make way more sense now , they aren't just grimy clutter jammed together like before. The girls working there were also super friendly, welcoming, helpful, clean, didn't smell like BO and stale ash tray like prior employees, and they were knowledgeable about everything. Years ago it was a bunch of greasy smelly guys that were more interested in cringe bro gossip, hanging out, and texting than selling anything. The girl that worked there before had the personality and enthusiasm of a wet paper bag. What a huge difference! I just spent $180 on records and will go back in a week or 2 to buy more. read more

The Exchange over the years (at other locations) has ALWAYS been fair to me on trade-ins for store credit - but this place was the epitome of low balls (Bricks and Minifigs comparable???). They spent 30 minutes looking at a handful of DVDs/games, gave me a figure without telling me which items they were going to take, and then tried to convince me my extras were worth trash value. This place is turning into a Goodwill. Never going back here again. Clean store though. Sad. read more

We stopped here while driving through the area on I-90. The store is super clean, well organized, and all game titles are easy to read (this is a problem at many other stores). The selection was decent for some consoles. This is a solid spot to check out. They also had other collectibles and vinyl, though that wasn't what we were after. read more

I work in Erie once a week and I usually don't look around for stores and stuff like that. Last week while going to the local GetGo for snacks I drove passed The Exchange and knew it was a store I needed to check out. The second I walked in I was surrounded by records, classic video games, action figures, anime, pro wrestling, Funko pops, and everything else that you can possibly think of. The prices here are pretty darn good and the selection seems unbeatable in for Erie. Everything has its own little section to make for pretty simple browsing. Each gaming console has its own window of 2 and everything is categorized pretty well. Thanks to me for forgetting my wallet at work (down the road, not across state lines) I had to leave but I'm very excited to come back here. My girlfriend and I were spending the day in Erie after attending a wedding the day before. With some free time, we decided to explore the area. A quick search and we came upon this gem of a store. A truly unparalleled selection of movies, vinyl records, and video games. I could have spent all day here. The helpful staff was always nearby to answer any questions or concerns. Everything was displayed to easily see what was in stock. I've seen other stores like this in the past fail to neatly organize their stock, and the shopping experience suffered. I'm glad we found this store. While we made a brief visit here, we will definitely be back again in the future. I'll have to make a list for things to look for. It will help to both make the best use of time, and reign in my spending, lol. read more

This is not the record store "Championship Vinyl" from the movie High Fidelity with John Cusack where I don't know anything about Music. True, I don't know a ton about music but these guys are actually really helpful and they will move a little bit on the price if you are trading stuff up. Video games they have them very cheap and they will tell you which ones rock and which ones don't. They also gave me tips of of stuff to do and will trade up and trade down. They will order music for you and even rare stuff to fine and they make sure they get it for you. What will I do? I will return with my business. Spend your money here. read more

Nice friendly and helpful staff, great selection from Atari to XBox 360, and all the newer and older stuff in between. I loved that they had old school games for genesis, sega cd, snes, and even still had a nice stock of psp titles =0 ) Prices are very reasonable overall. and great selections of movies and cds too! I really love that store, I Remember going there with my mother a lot and I really love that store, it's still one of my favorites to this day. This is the place where I got The original game boy advance, Some games for it, and I've also gotten some Wii games that I wasn't able to find anywhere else. I definitely will come back there at some point. read more

Walk on in to this place if you have some time. This place has everything you can imagine; movies, games, music, equipment. Even if you don't buy anything, it is interesting to browse the store. I would say this is one of Erie's "up and coming" places of interest. read more

I have been buying & Trading from the (Record) Exchange for about 25 years. I Mostly buy vinyl and am able to find many great albums are very reasonable prices. Also have a site where they will order the vinyl you want from other stores for no additional cost. The employees are very friendly & helpful & always greet you when you enter the store. They also are very fair on trades and have many different products to chose from, with great selection and bargains. I have been to many Exchanges & was very happy when this one opened in Erie. At first its a great place to get old vintage games and newer ones along with movies, records and music CDs. I give them 2 stars simply for the reason that you can go in there and leave with the item you were after. After shopping and returning multiple times, you are quick to learn that the staff are very hot headed and rather rude trying to ask simple questions. Not to mention *most* of their prices for certain select games and consoles are friggen outrageous. Their return policy is horrible and their *buy rates* for select games is also bad. They have a list price of something for $60 dollars and you would be lucky to get $15 for your game. If you need an old vintage game sale or purchase; save yourself the hassle and use eBay. read more
