This may be the second review I have made in my 69 yrs of life. I purchased a sofa from the Bliss location in Nashville which is now closed permanently. Within I would say 6-8 months of purchase, the wooden frame at bottom of sofa in the front cracked almost completely apart. We now have a sagging, almost brand new looking sofa! I reported the claim in Sept 2024 and have been given the runaround for going on 5 months! I have owned several sofas in my lifetime and raised 4 children on most of them and I can honestly say nothing like this has ever happened to a single one. Beware! read more

The staff is always friendly and ready to offer the right amount of help based on whether you just want to browse or need help. We checked out Bliss after a recommendation from a friend. This is a lovely moderately priced home store. THE OVERVIEW: It's a step up from places like La Z Boy and Ashley furniture and the prices reflect this quality in their furniture but it is still reasonable. Everything we saw was high quality and we strongly recommend you check our the American Leather comfort sleeper sofa. Whoa! They have taken the sleeper sofa to a whole new level- we expect there to be fights over who GETS to sleep on the sofa! Bliss seems to focus on fresh and contemporary with some solid traditional pieces thrown in. Parking is easy with a large parking lot available, you can park steps from the door. OUR EXPERIENCE: We had great help from Elayne, with only gentle suggestions- the furniture sold itself for us and we appreciated our Elayne's willingness to look up additional information for us multiple times. We saw a couple of other pieces we loved, but we'll have to recover from our moving expenses first then make another trip back! THE WRAP-UP: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! read more

Bliss has just opened a new store in the old Storehouse Furniture location on Kingston Pike. My husband and I were there tonight and the place is GORGEOUS. You get a whole lot more of what you love about Bliss now in a more convenient location. The prices are still pretty good and this is the most fresh, contemporary look in home furnishings around Knoxville. Plus, the sales help's still friendly and great to help. I went in here just to browse, I think they have very unique pretty items. Will I shop here? Yes as well as maybe not. I say that because if I go inside next time to buy and no one says " Hello, How may I help you" then I will walk out with my money. That being said... I have bought a few things at Bliss and Bliss home. I bought about 2 years ago some lamps $200 a piece, they are like Doxie lamps, I love them. Very unique and it is good to find a modern store such as Bliss Home. I bought lil things like the Gurgle fish pitcher in Orange and the lil S&P Doxie shakers at the Bliss store..Like I said a few things.Was in the downtown store Sunday 8/16/15 and bought a lil cast iron Doxie. I ma so glad to see a store with Doxie things. I never have had a issue with Bliss every one is always pretty friendly. Nice to deal with local owners. read more

DISHONEST & RUDE. be absolutely certain before you buy!! dishonest because they initially refused to issue a return on defective merchandise that could not be replaced & because they refused to accept a return on an in stock item within the allowed 5 days. rude because they were condescending & insulting. my spouse & i bought two chairs & an accent table from bliss. we bought these items to go together, as an informal set. we took home one chair, a floor model, & the table, & ordered the second. these were the last two chairs of that make & model that bliss offered, as they were discontinued. after arriving home, we discovered, upon sitting in it, that the chair was broken. so we called bliss, & was told they would give us a store credit for the broken chair, but that we would have to keep the one on order. since the chair could not be replaced & we needed two, a store credit would not work, nor did we need just one chair. the amount in dispute, for the chairs was $1500. after a lot of back & forth, during which time my spouse was called a liar & hung up on several times, they finally agreed to accept the return of the chairs. next we attempted to return the table, since we could not replace the chairs it was bought to go with. even though it was within the 5 days of "in stock" returns, & even though the chairs it was bought to go with were returned due to inferior quality, they flatly refused. the owner told us that surely we could find a place for it. again, after too much contentious back & forth, they stated the best they would do was offer a store credit. since we had been treated so rudely, not to mention it was a defective product that initiated the return, we refused & are now disputing the charge. over the years, we have spent thousands at bliss, & to my recollection we have returned less than $500 of merchandise. one of those times was due to defective merchandise, although that time we were able to get a replacement. we were still in the market for chairs, & had bliss allowed a return for a defective product & an in stock item, we would have continued shopping with them. instead we took our $4000 + somewhere else & we have had zero issues. we have had a wonderful relationship with Diana over the years, so my suggestion to the owner is to leave his customer service to his store employees. however, due to the horrendous way we were treated, bliss has lost a valuable customer over dishonesty, rudeness & a $480 table. we will never shop at bliss again. furthermore, every chance i get to warn someone else, i will do so. read more

Ordered a gorgeous dining room table from Bliss Home on May 24th. Was told 4-6 weeks for delivery. Since it was a special order, no refunds. Received an email shortly after the order was placed. Beginning to mid September for delivery. After calling and complaining about this - they offered to do me a "favor" and offer me store credit. But, no refunds (since I had agreed to that, when being promised the original delivery time frame). I don't want store credit, I just want my table. Calling today, I found out that many other people are in the same boat, back orders all over the place. I hope they weren't promised 4-6 weeks, too. They told me they are "at the mercy of their supplier". Guess what? That doesn't matter..I was told 4-6 weeks. I have been eating off a broken dining room table while waiting for the arrival of my new one.. Moral of story. If you want special order items from Bliss..be prepared to wait 3+ months, even when promised a much more timely delivery window. Be prepared to wait more than twice as long as promised. So many more things I wanted to purchase from there - they have amazing items for sale. But how can I? They cannot be believed if you cannot carry the item out of the store with you. read more

After moving here from NY, I was getting frustrated that all the furniture stores in town catered to an all beige "Mee-Maw" customer...and then we found Bliss Home. Brett helped us with a dining table and after realizing I wanted some different options, he paired me with amazing chairs they had in the back room. Great deals during their big sale event helped. He also called me a few weeks later to let me know about another sale and we went back and bought a couch and another table. He was awesome, helpful and not at all pushy. I highly recommend this place. I also think that you get what you pay for and think their prices are totally fair. I want to go in every time we pass by now. :) read more

We personally dealt with Brett and he is wonderful and great at following up. Also, the delivery crew could not be more prompt and friendly. They have a pretty good selection of modern furniture, but it seems quite over priced. You can find very similar items at Ikea for half the price (or less). Of course, Ikea is really far away.... The quality of the construction of the items at Bliss is sometimes questionable; for example, some of the drawers that I looked at did not slide easily. read more

I bought a sofa from Bliss in March 2014. This has been the most expensive, worst piece of furniture I have ever owned. I contacted the claims department a few months ago because the frame was creaking and the cushions had all gone flat. They sent some guys out to inspect the sofa, but they only spent about 2 minutes on it and left. They reported that there was nothing wrong with it. I asked for an 'expert' to come look at the sofa, and she reported the same thing. I know for a fact that the frame creaks!!! and as for the flat cushions, they told me to throw them on the ground to plump them back up....WHAT? this is also the most uncomfortable couch I have ever had. I'm done with this over priced store. read more

This place dresses itself as a stylish furniture store, but upon deeper inspection, it's just a retail store. We worked with them over about a month on the first step of decorating our entire home. After amassing an invoice in the 5 figure range, we inquired about incentives. Free delivery, negotiations, that type of thing...the normal process with large purchases. They do none of that. No matter what you buy, or how much, you pay full retail, every time. Won't even knock off a delivery charge! Furthermore, they don't seem to pursue your business. It's almost as if they don't need/want the money. How quickly these businesses forget the recession now that things are getting better! The designer that helped us depends on 100% commission and didn't even call or email when we didn't return to the store. An odd place for sure. My husband has had a very successful career in sales, and these people are not "sales people". They're basically just cashiers. It's really no different than a Pier 1 or Home Goods. We're having someone else decorate our home that is more interested in forming a business relationship. The process of decorating an entire home can take a year or two, so I'd like to give my money to a business that actually seems to want it. read more

My experience was similar to others who commented on the lack of interest in the sales staff in actually selling furniture. Although I was told they had designers who would come to your home for $100, with this fee then deducted from the furniture you buy, the first person tells me four hours before our appointment that she's "sick" and has to cancel. When I then called the store, having taken time off from work for this appointment, I learned she wasn't even one of their 2 designers. Neither of the designers called back despite having been told they would do so. So I called Bliss yet again and one of the designers answered the phone. She indicated she wasn't interested in consulting with me on the piece of furniture I needed as well as suggestions for rugs and window treatments, saying "we don't advise on window treatments since we don't sell this," completely ignoring that I had also said I needed furniture and rugs. I know they sell rugs because the first "designer" and I discussed the rugs on the showroom floor, which were for sale. An unmotivated sales force and an underwhelming experience for this would be consumer. Evidently Bliss doesn't need the business, and I will shop elsewhere. read more

We recently purchased a head/footboard from Bliss Home. I saw the piece when I visited the store a few weeks ago and decided to order it over the phone. Diana took my call and handled the transaction with warmth and professionalism. She placed the order, arranged for delivery and the bed was delivered on time as promised. The delivery team found our home (which is not easy!) and set up our new bed. They were delightful and efficient. We could not have asked for a more positive experience. My husband and I returned to Bliss Home about a week later to look for family room furnishings. Diana was as wonderful in person as she was over the phone. She possesses that special quality of listening to her customers. After explaining our style and function preferences, she led us to several pieces that would meet our requirements. She also gently presented a few alternative ideas without pressuring us. Bliss Home will remain on our "must visit" list for future decorating needs. read more
