I have gone to AT nails many times, but this time the lady was rushing to close the store so she vigorously filed my nails which removed powder, cut my cuticles, and have me varying shapes of each nail. When I politely asked if she could replace the red she stripped off, they said if I was not happy with their services they would took it off and I could leave. I asked if they could fix it, and they said no. So they left me with barren red hot cheeto fingers. Disappointing. Maybe so I shouldn't have been as polite so they didn't take advantage of me. DO NOT GO HERE! I got a pedicure from @Nail & Spa last week and woke up the next morning with an infection in all toenails that required a visit to Urgent Care. The Urgent Care doctor recommended I never go to this salon again, as it was the weirdest case of paronychia (infection of the toenails) she had ever seen. When I reached out to @ Nail & Spa, employees were evasive, refused to call me back, and laughed when I asked for a refund. I was told to look up their email address online to send proof of an Urgent Care visit and start the complaint process for a refund. When I visited their Facebook page, I found that no email existed. They are denying that I got the infection from their salon while making it impossible for me to send them proof (photo evidence, medical documents). All this over a $50 refund. Save yourself the headache and the medical bills and go literally anywhere else. read more

Their dip manicures are well done and last a long time, their pedicures are amazing and include warm oil, hot towel, and a great massage. The environment is always calm and inviting. Got a full set of acrylics here about 3 weeks ago and they lasted 2 1/2 weeks. It is a walk in salon but they are able to get you in easily and pretty quickly. Also I normally call in and see if there is a wait before I go in. Got an acrylic fill yesterday and it was great. Will be coming here religiously now. It is more expensive then other salons I've been to, but in my opinion it's worth it bc they last. I work in retail and my nails stay on. Impressive. read more

Walked in asking for gel manicure (with chipped shellac already on x 3 weeks) and they got me seated right away. Was going to do regular manicure to let my nails breathe, but I was talked into another gel manicure - was offered something to drink & I took a seat! Easily removed previous shellac, tried out new opi gel color with a beautifully done manicure and meticulous detail, and paraffin dip for hands - all for $30!! I am in need of a place in Madison which is do for manicures, but I am looking for a place that does sink pedicures which are more sanitary (I've not had a pedicure here yet, but their chairs are sanitary appearing, so I may give it a shot next time). I believe I'm a sophisticated lady with pleasant behavior. I started attending the @nail & spa located at 6814 Odana Rd. Madison, WI. 53719. about 5 months ago. I always make appointments for my daughter and I. I tried calling a few times and a recording stated my call as been screened by a smart call blocker. I thought to myself that there must be a mistake. I walked in and scheduled an appointment for the same day (Thursday, 7/20/2023) at 2 pm with a lady that claimed to be the shop manager/owner. I also informed her of the recording I received a few times I called to make my appointment. Unfortunately, I had a family surprise visit that afternoon and I called the nails shop number again at 608-833-7399. I received the same recording. I went in on Friday (7/21/2023) around 9:05am. Upon my arrival, The same lady that scheduled me the day before attended to me and told me she can't schedule me for any service at all. I asked her when does she have an opening for me to come back. She said she can't service me anymore. I looked at the shop and there were three employees, and none of them was working with any customers. I repeated what she said to be sure I heard her correctly. She said yes that I heard her correctly. She continued by saying I missed my previous day's appointment. I explain the recording I was getting to her once again. I called the shop phone number in front of her to hear the recording herself. She said she doesn't really have anything to say to that but she -cannot give me service anymore. I asked her if I owe her some money or if it is that I don't tip enough. She said I don't owe them any money and she don't know about the tip. Another lady customer walked in and she had her sit down. I asked the lady customer if she had an appointment and she said no she didn't make any previous appointment. I know she has the right to decline clients, but screening my phone even before I could call to reschedule makes me feel she already made her mind up to discriminate against me. I'm baffled at how people are being treated in general just because of who they are. read more

The facility was clean, and I received a thorough mani and pedi that lasted over an hour and a half (massage, wax treatment, cuticle work, etc.). Also, the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the place was understaffed (I had an appointment but had to wait for 20 minutes). Also, the quality of the gel mani was so-so. It wasn't the neatest..there were specs of polish on the skin around my nail when I left the salon. But it wasn't awful. I also got a cut or two during the cuticle work. I will probably return someday, but I think I'll try my luck somewhere else in a few weeks when I'm ready for another mani/pedi. read more

I think this place does a great job with a basic manicure. They are quick & efficient without making it feel rushed, which I appreciate. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes for walk-in service, even on busy Saturday mornings. While I feel $15 is a fair price for a manicure, I have been upcharged $3 (on two separate occasions) for "special nail polish" colors that were on the "regular polish" options. Also, the guy that answers the phone but otherwise sits in a pedicure chair & watches videos on his phone, is rude. I'm relieved I can't understand what he's saying because I'm confident it would make me never want to step foot in the place again. 09/13/2019 This place is obviously under new management and ownership. Was able to get an appointment right away/ same day for a gel manicure. Immediately noticed a change in decor and employees. When I inquired about the status of it's operations, I was told two times that ownership was the same and no changes in staff had occurred. The old staff was taking a break!! Please, why such deception. When I went up to pay my bill the price had increased by $5.00. Price increases are to be expected but service expertise is expected to be increased also. I was unable to find the color I had been using for two years because the color samples were also different. Polish quality was also very disappointing. I had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! When getting a pedicure, I heard "oh oh" while I was getting my toe nails cut. My toenail is cracked down the middle, just hanging there. Then, 4 workers were pointing and talking about me in a foreign language. She ended up gluing in back on. I was offered no discount when I checked out. The next day, the nail got caught on my sock and completely ripped off. I HAVE NO TOENAIL BECAUSE OF THIS PEDICURE. It bled pretty good too. Got a pedicure done here recently. This was the second pedicure I had done there. The first one was great however, the person doing my pedicre the second time around was too agreesive and rough. He was scrubbing my big toe really hard with the pumice stone, it slipped and took a big piece of skin out of my foot! It didn't seem that bad in the store, but it is still healing and may take several more day to heal. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone at this point. What a wondeful place! It's a very pretty, clean salon with super nice staff. I went there over 2 weeks ago and got the OPI no chip colour on my nails and they still look great-and no chip. I had really short nails, but they managed to make them look nice anyways and thanks to the nail polish they've been growing and I can't wait to go back.
